Story
Introducing, Visi! Visi was found as a stray in rural Virginia and has been patiently waiting for a family to call her own. She is about 50 lbs, which makes her great to travel with, and she enjoys car rides. She loves walks and does great on a leash. Visi is housebroken, crate trained, dog AND cat friendly, and loves all humans! She knows “come,” “sit,” “crate,” “shake,” and is working on “stay.” She will even put herself to sleep at night. Visi is an amazing dog and will fit in nicely with a family looking for an adventure buddy! If you’re interested in meeting Miss Visi, apply at www.novapetsalive.org/adopt *Visi is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, was given dewormer and monthly preventatives, and is microchipped.

Story
my Maltipoo Male Cream 10 years old 12 lbs Meet Sammy, a spunky, resilient, and affectionate little dog looking for an experienced, patient forever home. Sammy’s journey hasn’t been easy—he’s physically delicate due to chronic back issues caused by past injuries, and he can be easily startled in certain situations. However, with his medications, Sammy is full of energy, life, and love. At just 12 pounds, Sammy may be small, but his personality is big. He adores long walks, zoomies around the house, and playing with toys. He’s housebroken and will let you know when he needs to go out. Inside the home, Sammy gets along well with other dogs and respects their boundaries, but he is reactive to larger dogs while on walks. For this reason, he will need a dog-savvy adopter who understands his needs and can manage these encounters with care. Sammy is also learning to feel comfortable in a crate, viewing it as his safe space. While he’s not quite fully relaxing inside, he happily goes in to retrieve a treat or eat a meal in his favorite bed before heading back out. New experiences, like meeting unfamiliar people, may make him feel uncertain, but with reassurance and time, Sammy thrives. Above all, Sammy is a cuddle bug who loves nothing more than being close to his person. He’ll light up at the sound of “Good boy!” and will eagerly seek your affection. Sammy would do best with someone who works from home or is home much of the time, as he loves companionship and does not like being left alone for long periods.Sammy may have had a tough start, but his heart is full of love and his spirit is strong. If you’re an experienced adopter who can offer Sammy the understanding, care, and attention he deserves, he will reward you with endless snuggles and joy. Please Note: *Must have a FENCED-IN yard!* **No children under 12!** If you are interested in adopting SAMMY please go to our website www.somersetcottagepoodlerescue.org to see our adoption process and download the adoption application SAMMY's adoption donation is $550

Story
Cherry a.k.a. Gigi Maltipoo Female White 8 lbs 5 years old Meet CHERRY aka GIGI: A Loyal Little Lady With a Heart of Gold! Gigi is a truly special girl who’s looking for a patient, understanding human to give her the forever home she deserves. While she’s still learning to fully trust people, this sweet pup has already made huge strides in opening her heart. Gigi thrives in a quiet environment and loves to attach herself to her person. She’ll place her paws on your legs when she wants to be lifted (just avoid picking her up under her belly—she’s not a fan!). This little cutie LOVES to play! Whether it’s zooming around after her morning walk or engaging in some pretend toy battles, Gigi’s playful side will keep you smiling. And while she has a thing for playbiting, toys are her favorite distraction! When new people visit, Gigi prefers a slow and steady approach. If guests ignore her at first, she’ll eventually sniff them out and may even curl up beside them when she’s ready. Deep down, she wants to love people—she just needs time and patience to get there. Gigi gets along wonderfully with other dogs around her size and would do well in a home with a calm canine companion. Gigi holds still for her harness and always stays to your left on walks. Gigi’s mealtime manners are on point! She’s a great eater who doesn’t beg too much—she’ll simply sit by your chair, politely waiting to see if she’ll score a treat. While Gigi is crate-trained, she’d much prefer to be by your side. After all, that’s where she feels safest and happiest!Gigi is a resilient, loving girl who’s ready to find a patient, kind-hearted person to help her thrive. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’ll cherish you as much as you cherish her, Gigi might just be your perfect match. Please Note: *Must have a FENCED-IN yard!* **No children!** If you are interested in adopting CHERRY (Gigi) please go to our website www.somersetcottagepoodlerescue.org to see our adoption process and download the adoption application CHERRY (Gigi)'s adoption donation is $695

Story
Introducing Bubba! Bubba is 12 years old and 32 lbs, but don’t let those numbers fool you. He is full of spunk and energy! Sadly, Bubba found himself at a rural shelter after his owner passed away and is looking for a loving home to ride out his senior years. Bubba loves to go on long walks and sniff every leaf and tree he can. His new year's resolution is to lose some weight to be ready to hit the beach in the summer, so the more walks the better. He walks well on a leash and is house broken. He appears to be a bit hard of hearing, which means you can grind those coffee beans early in the morning without worrying about waking him up. At home, he loves to stare out the window and watch people and animals wander about. He will let you know when he sees something interesting! Bubba loves cuddling on the couch, chewing on bones, playing tug-o-war, and giving everyone kisses. He is super friendly and loves to just be in the same room as you while you do your thing. Interested in learning more about Bubba? Apply at www.novapetsalive.org/adopt. *Bubba is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, was given dewormer and monthly preventatives, and is microchipped.

Introducing the cutest puppies in the universe! Orion, Nova, Cosmo and Astro found themselves in a rural shelter at only 10 weeks old. These babies have been surviving on their own and are ready to learn what life as a family dog is like. These brothers are very sweet and super handsome! We suspect they will be on the medium/large size once fully grown. They are making strides in their housetraining. They love playing with toys and wrestling with their littermates. Interested in learning more about our pups? Apply at www.novapetsalive.org/adopt. *Puppies are spayed/neuters, up-to-date on vaccines, were given dewormer and monthly preventatives, and are microchipped.
