"Yes, I am sitting on the coffee table. That's normal, right? I just wanted to get a closer view of what you were doing." I LOVE this boy's personality more and more and so will you!Merry Me is a BOY and he is going to be a BIG BOY. Think, current status, "Bull in a China Shop," as he has no clue where his tail is whipping around to and crashing into, there are no obstacles to get from pt A to pt B, and if you leave a room, don't worry he is right there with you.He's also very SMART! He is extremely food motivated so positive training will be excellent and probably not too hard with him (sorry, I only have so much time and minimal training taking place). He LOVES and responds well to praise.He would do well with LOTS of activity so hiking, long walks, runs, or even learning agility, would be great for him.At almost 7 months old, he is doing amazing! Although crate trained, he is not currently crated, just confined to my first floor, for my work day. No accidents. He did have a recent slip-up with chewing, but that's my fault. My dogs are couch potatoes, so he needed some activities, i.e. frozen kongs, food puzzles, etc...to keep him busy during the day. Occasional doggy daycare might do him well, too. He LOVES other dogs and will play non-stop if he has his way!He definitely has some things to work on since he is nervous in new environments, situations, or with people, but he has come so far with working through it! Last foster said he was great with her kids, but I would suggest kiddos who understand he may need space to adjust.
Oh yes, Darla (his foster dog sister) taught him to get up on the coffee table....again, he needs better training than me!
