Story
Bennie is only 2 years old and I adopted him from a shelter in Lynchburg Va. He is highly energetic & would be best paired with an owner who leads an active lifestyle! I'm just not physically capable at my age to be able to work with Bennie and give him the attention and training he deserves! I am also suffering from debilitating depression and anxiety and undergoing treatment for the same! He would make a great pet for someone who wants to work with him!

Story
My grandson got her for Christmas 2023. She was eight months old at the time. I kept her at my house because his father is allergic. She has long lanky legs that are constantly hitting me when she rolls over or jumping on the kids from excitement. She’s very sweet and has never bitten anyone or even growled at them. I cannot let her run freely because I have no fenced in backyard. I can only walk her to use the bathroom or put her on a run so she can have some exercise. She has gotten off of it many times so I can’t do that anymore. She is crated in the house and has never gone to the bathroom inside the crate. When I take her outside, she uses the bathroom, but if I brought her in and let her run around, she would probably soil the floor. She needs a fenced in backyard. I’ve been told, she’s very trainable. She really is a very sweet girl and would love your attention.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This sweet fellow was adopted as a young puppy and recently returned to us with no socialization whatsoever. His breed (Belgian Malinois) and age demands that he find a home willing to put in the time for training and socialization so that he can be a well rounded and well behaved adult. We may have failed to find that home the first time around, but we will not let him down again. We are looking for experienced and prepared owners this time around. He is a sweet, smart, beautiful boy that deserves the best.

Story
Shelter stressed right now due to a LONG shelter stay. Has been with us since April 2021! Dogs: loves most female dogs, non confrontational male dogs Cats: has not tested well with cats at the shelter Kids: a home no kids is ideal but could adjust to older kids (14+) I'm so smart. I know sit, down (lay down), I can give paw, and the recall work we've done show promise for a "come" command. I want to be a loyal boy to someone who truly sees my potential. Arrived in April 2021 and was great with dogs, new people, etc. After a few months, Breki was stressed and anxious, and began acting reactively towards all of the people "staring in" at him through the glass as well as towards other dogs who went past, barking, etc. Our trainer noticed this as a behavior change so our clinic started Breki on a medication to help him feel less anxious and threatened. This is really helping, but he can be standoffish with people through barriers. We believe this to be due to shelter stress which can cause dogs to become depressed or show behaviors that are not typical of their usual behaviors. With familiar staff Breki is goofy, playful, very much focused on being with you and pleasing you. He gets along with other dogs who are friendly and playful.
