Story
Nellie has gained a ton of confidence in her foster home and cannot wait to show her forever family her sweet disposition. She loves to snuggle up next to you on the couch and keep her nose and toes toasty. She is zippy fast to play fetch and adores other dogs. My name is Nellie and I am currently living in a foster home in Lake Mills, Wisconsin. I am approximately 2.5 years old and weigh about 30lbs. Nellie was surrendered by her Texas owner with her two siblings. This stunning and regal pup is cautious and timid when meeting new people. As she gains confidence with each new day her playful and polite personality is coming alive. She loves the dogs in her current foster home and is a quick learner to routine and expectations. She understands the tasty value of a treat and is eager learn basic commands. She loves toys, bones and games to keep her puppy brain active. She gallops and sprints to fetch tennis balls in the fenced backyard. Nellie will thrive in a home with other dog friends, a fenced yard, endless amounts of dog toys, a dog bed and a kennel to curl up in at night. She loves chin scratches and will give you soft kisses. She loves to talk when she wakes up in the morning and to let you know her excitement to be outside! She is an absolute delight who easily entertains herself and plays gently with her dog friends. Nellie is a dog's dog, and would love to have another dog in her forever home. Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Story
Luna is currently living in a foster home in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Luna was originally adopted from our rescue as a puppy, but her adopter returned her after 2.5 years as she felt her schedule was not a fit for Luna and she was unable to provide her with the attention and stimulation she needed. Sadly, this happened for a second time with Luna's most recent adopter. Luna crates well, loves to play with other dogs, loves to eat, and is affectionate. She will require daily exercise and stimulation to make her a happy girl. Luna is about three years old and weighs around 35 pounds. Luna has experience living with dogs of all sizes and she is doing well with all of them. Check out the video of Luna! Interested in adoption? Story
Blythe is living in a foster home near Edgerton, Wisconsin. Blythe is about three years old and weighs around 13 pounds. She was surrendered to a Houston rescue with three other dogs because the family said they had too many animals. When Blythe arrived in her foster home she needed some time to decompress and take in her new surroundings. After having time to settle in, she started seeking out affection. She now loves to snuggle and enjoys getting to sleep in bed with her people. Blythe is kennel trained and uses a dog door in her foster home. She also lives with lots of other dogs and does well with them. She is very cute and very sweet! Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Our rescue adopts to Wisconsin and Illinois. Wisconsin does not have these requirements, though we will not consider applications where pets are missing core veterinary care. Meet Jack, a dog taken in by a veterinarian Purchased from a breed who was not reputable or operating with care, this sweet boy needed more. He is just over a year old. He is a neutered male, current on vaccinations, HWT and HW and F/T prevention. He weighs 40#. It is very important that his new home have another dog. One that is confident and well-trained, active and a bit assertive would be perfect. It is important for the new owners to know that Jack comes with some emotional baggage and will need time and patience, and he may never be a socially "normal" dog. He can be very reserved around new (and sometimes old) people. He truly has made amazing strides since we've fostered him, and I think in the right hands, he will continue to become more confident and will thrive in the right home. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250. Story
Monty is living in a foster home in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Monty is about 10 years old and weighs around 8 pounds. In his current foster home, he lives with other dogs, adults and one child. He would do best in a home with children 10 years and older. It took Monty only 1-2 days to settle into his foster home, but then he fit right in. He will show you his quirky and kind personality once he's comfortable. Monty may be 10 years old, but he still LOVES playing with dog toys, running around with the "zoomies," and going for walks. Monty also enjoys exploring the fenced yard, going for car rides and taking naps. Check out his video! Monty is a professional walker and snuggler. These are his areas of expertise. He has joined his foster family on several hikes this fall. So, if this what you're looking for, Monty is the dog for you! Monty is a pro when it comes to car rides. He’s fully housetrained at his foster home, going outside whenever the other dogs do, and he’ll sit by the door when he needs to go out. Monty knows his name and responds right away when called. He’s highly treat-motivated and eager to please his humans! At night, Monty loves curling up in bed with his foster parents, often burrowing under the covers to stay cozy and warm. He’s very mature and has excellent house manners! Monty is looking for an adopter who can be patient with him during his first few days as he adjusts to a new home. He may take a little time to feel comfortable with new people, but once he does, he warms up quickly. Before you know it, he'll be in your lap and by your side, becoming your loyal shadow! Story
Maxine is living in a foster home in Lake Mills, Wisconsin. Maxine is about four years old and weighs about 31 pounds. Maxine was found as a stray and went straight to a foster home. She loves people so much. She loves all people she meets no matter the age or if man/woman. She is not a fit for a home with cats, but she lives with three other dogs, big to small, and coexists happily with them. She demands a lot of human attention and doesn’t always love to share (will push other dogs out the way). Maxine is a fan of food and for that reason she prefers to not have other dogs near her when eating. She loves her walks and will run to the door when her foster grabs the leash!
