Handsome Bear is believed to be a Doxy-Poodle mix, who recently lost his senior human who liked his hair long, so he is getting used to his new hairdo! Bear may be a bit reserved on first meeting, but warms and craves affection. Bear would love a human who was around most of the time, he misses his owner dearly. Bear lives with many dogs and other critters and does well with everyone. He could lose a few pounds so getting on a quality diet will be very beneficial as well. Bear is neutered and will be brought current on his vaccinations as a part of his adoption donation.

Spike is simply the bestest boy! Spike is not only absolutely adorable, but so friendly and outgoing! He will be the first to run up and show his belly for tummy rubs. Spike is a great size for any living situation, and sturdy enough for long walks around town. Seriously, the sweetest dog! Spike is a wire hair doxy mix and came into the rescue with his furry family when his owner passed away. Spike now needs a new person - or persons - to love. Spike likes all kinds of play and will do well as an only or with other furry siblings, he lived in a home with 9 other dogs, so he knows how to get along with the crowd. Spike will need a healthy diet to get back to a good weight, quality food and a loving owner to make sure of appropriate exercise will do a world of good for Spike! While in foster care with us they have been clean and quiet in their crates and working on basic obedience and leash skills. They have done well with all dogs they have met here, and are joyful, playful pups who adore each other and do everything together. We are looking for a home with children over the age of 8, or an adult only home for these cuties. Most dogs require a fenced yard. We seek fully fenced yards with a physical, visible fence. Typically, the fence must be connected to the house/ a door in the home, and the dog safe fenced area must exclude driveway and car access. Shock/electronic fences will not be approved for most dogs. He is a good citizen with other canines once he knows them, and he requests a secure fenced yard and friends for him to romp and run with. Choco learns to trust his people, though he is not always so sure of new people. Choco is smart and loves cookies, chewy bones, and other toys and treats. He came to us as a nearly feral dog, and although he has come incredibly far with us, he is not perfect. He is not a snuggly type dog, but likes to share space with you. He thrives in a place that doesn't have huge expectations for him. He has yet to come to understand walking on lead, and it is unclear whether this will ever truly happen. He likes to come and sit with you and hang out where you are, and it is well worth getting to know him.
