Story
My mother passed away and her 6 year old miniature Rottweiler needs a home asap. She lived with my mom in her small house and her two cats, and previously another dog. She is very sweet, loyal to a fault and high energy. Slept on my mom's bed with the cats every night. Has been around our family of 5 (my husband and I and our 3 teen kids). Is sweet to strangers but jumps with excitement so could use training. Good listener other wise. Has had a dog walker 3xweek for 4 years and has boarded at his house with 4 other dogs. We had someone fostering her immediately after my mom passed and she washed my mom's dog with her dog in a confined sink and Olivia nipped her dog. She has been all out of sorts since my mom passed.

Story
Bronx was adopted from the Humane Society of Silicon Valley (HSSV) on April 23, 2023. He was 11 weeks old and weighed 9.20 lbs. and presumed to be a Border Collie Mix but staff was unsure what he was mixed with. Since his adoption he has completed the required Puppy Training course provided by HSSV while also receiving continued training by his family. Bronx is potty trained, knows the basic commands (sit, stay, leave it, etc..) but could benefit from more extensive and regular training and strong leadership from pack leader or family. Bronx loves to run, fetch and socialize with other dogs and people. He has been trained to be both on and off leash and responds to commands when off leash; but keep in mind he's still a puppy and sometimes gets distracted and may need commands repeated. Bronx also can get a little over excited when it comes to meeting other dogs and people and may jump on them or at them to greet them. This is something that will need continuous work to be corrected.

Story
Nala is looking for her forever family! Nala was born in Orange County, CA on January 23rd, 2022 and is a very affectionate, intelligent, and well-behaved protector. She's been around young kids for as long as I've had her and understands how to be gentle, even if they play a little rough with her. Nala spent a month in boarding school during her first year, and does well (most of the time) with several commands such as sit, stay, down, off, leave it, drop it, wait, and her release word of "ok." She does well with humans and other dogs alike. Her favorite activities include going on walks, chasing squirrels, playing fetch (and catching toys in the air), tug o' war, and playful wrestling with humans. Her vaccines are current as of 7/12/2024 and weighed in at 76lbs. I'd love to find a family that can give her the time, love, and attention she so deserves!

Story
We found Lil Bit wandering the streets in Berkeley. He is a 6-month-old pitsky (?) puppy who is scheduled to be neutered and microchipped on 6/18 (your adoption fee goes towards this). He has strikingly beautiful eyes! He currently lives peacefully with a large dog, two cats, and two young kids. He became besties with my dog very quickly! Once you earn his trust, he is very loyal, affectionate, and playful. He is very mellow and has a relaxed energy. He is good at respecting boundaries, making him a great companion for your dog(s). Easygoing and friendly, Lil Bit has pretty much won the hearts of everyone he has met. He is housetrained (learned to ring a bell to go outside), great in the car, has excellent recall, very food motivated, a fast learner, and is learning tricks like sit, down, wait, and touch. We are working on his separation anxiety and crate training. Lil Bit is a gem of a dog who will make a family very happy!
