Story
Charlie is a 4 year old tan and black labrador retriever. Born on July 10, 2022. He's a good boy, listens well, and food motivated so he's easy to train. He's eager to please for some love and attention. He's a good and healthy boy. He's had health insurance and been on a wellness program his whole life. He's an inside dog. He's gentle around children and gets along with other animals. We are very overwhelmed with life right now and we fear he's being neglected and not getting the treatment and attention he deserves. We have a toddler, and a newborn as of June 15, 2024 and cannot take care of everyone well with my partner's job being more demanding and little outside help.

Story
Kazhem is a very handsome, somewhat shy Akita mix who warms up slowly to new people. But once he is comfortable he will share his goofy personality with you, running zoomies in the grass and showing off his great smile and happy tail wag.He gets along great with other dogs on the beach, the trails and probably in the dog park, but would prefer to be the only doggo in his forever home. Once Kazhem bonds with you he`s very devoted and wants to be with you all the time. Retirees, professionals who work at home, and anyone else who could make him a part of their daily life would be his dream family!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This is Redvine's second rodeo at our shelter, through no fault of his own. He has a tremendous amount of love and companionship to give, so we really want to see this fantastic boy find his forever home soon! Part of what makes Redvine so special is his puppylike energy. His wigglebutt can knock down anyone under five feet tall, which makes him a less-than-ideal nanny. But if you have older kids and the family has been looking for a four-legged pal to run, hike, swim, or just snuggle with on the couch? He's perfect. * 57 lbs * 5 years old * Sweet and outgoing * Playful * Smart * Crate trained and housebroken * Versatile (couch potato or workout buddy) * Great with people and other dogs in public * Chews on toys, not your belongings * Easily adapts to new environments * Kids older than 12 * Possibly too rough for small dogs and other pets Meet Redvine any afternoon but Monday at 1590 Fortmann Way in Alameda, California.

Good with kids, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Through no fault of her own, Samantha has been in our shelter for more than a year after being found as a stray. She is nothing if not resilient, living in a kennel week after week, month after month, and we are honored to care for her. But she needs a home. Take a close look at this deserving little pittie. Perhaps you'll see what we do: the best smiling face, the happiest attitude, the bubbliest personality. Can you imagine waking up to this pure doggie joy every day? She's a smiler who seems to revel in life, a dog who sees the glass as half full. The word wigglebutt was invented for Samantha. She's been in a shelter for so long, she has been quite nervous in a couple of her foster homes, barking at noises and people she doesn't know. But she settles down with patience. Samantha's reactivity toward other animals has improved, but she should be your only pet until she receives further training to leave cats and small dogs alone. * 2 years, 4 months old * small for her breed * easy to walk * lots of fun * loves people * Good with kids * should be only fur child Apply on our website, and call (510) 337-8565 to make an appointment. If she is not in a foster home, you may meet Samantha any afternoon except Monday at 1590 Fortmann Way in Alameda, California. Her adoption fee has already been paid for by an admirer, so you owe nothing!
