Story
My mother passed away and her 6 year old miniature Rottweiler needs a home asap. She lived with my mom in her small house and her two cats, and previously another dog. She is very sweet, loyal to a fault and high energy. Slept on my mom's bed with the cats every night. Has been around our family of 5 (my husband and I and our 3 teen kids). Is sweet to strangers but jumps with excitement so could use training. Good listener other wise. Has had a dog walker 3xweek for 4 years and has boarded at his house with 4 other dogs. We had someone fostering her immediately after my mom passed and she washed my mom's dog with her dog in a confined sink and Olivia nipped her dog. She has been all out of sorts since my mom passed.

Story
Meet Phil, a resilient fluffy pup! Though his exact breed is a mystery (likely Laso Apso or Maltese mix), his charming personality shines through. Phil faces the world with unique challenges as he is almost completely blind in one eye and partially in the other due to cataracts, but he gets around great and loves playing fetch. Initially, Phil's fear led to biting, prompting an owner to surrender with a euthanasia request. However, since finding refuge in a caring environment, Phil has undergone a remarkable transformation. Despite his sensory impairments, he navigates confidently, proving that love and understanding can conquer fear. Phil isn't your typical cuddly companion, but he exudes happiness and confidence. He likes being pet and having his chest rubbed, (but on his terms), and he can give a warning if he has had enough. He thrives on exploring and being near his human and particularly loves sitting on your lap or on the couch next to you. He loves being with people in general and is good in larger groups (i.e. picnics, riding on the bus). His distinctive way of communicating, whether through vertical jumps for attention or barks to indicate his desires, adds to his endearing character. This little guy has preferences - he values his space and will assertively communicate when it's being encroached upon, usually when he is not quite ready to get out of bed or if he doesn't want to be picked up at that moment. However he is easily distracted and has a short memory, so he is easy to maneuver. Phil's unique quirks make him a character with a big personality and an adorable expressive face. Understanding his likes and dislikes reveals a joyous canine companion who thrives in a patient adult home. He is good with other dogs and cats. He is partially house-trained and is able to go on a pee pad. We discovered and are treating a UTI so hopefully that will help. He responds well to positive reinforcement (and clapping).
