Learn more hereThis Dog is Available By Appointment Only Meet Paloma, the one-of-a-kind deaf pup who is sure to steal your heart with her stunning blue eyes and unique combination of 5 different breeds (Australian Cattle Dog, GSG and Husky to name the main ones), as shown in her DNA test results. This girl is full of confidence and is a quick learner. She loves going for car rides and gets excited as soon as she sees her harness. Paloma is a social butterfly who adores meeting new people and soaking up all the love and attention. Paloma is already a pro at crate training and potty training and is a bundle of joy with a tail that never stops wagging. She is currently mastering leash skills and enjoys going on pack walks in the neighborhood, where she can show off her playful side. Paloma is a pack animal and even though she's surrounded by four giant Northern breeds that are over 80 pounds, she is adapting well and learning how to communicate with them. Paloma is in search of a forever home with at least one other playful dog, where she can continue to grow and thrive. She will do best in a quieter area, as busy places can be overwhelming for her. As a high-energy, intelligent working breed mix, Paloma requires regular exercise and mental stimulation. She is 3 years old and weighs 40 pounds. If you're looking for a special companion that will bring love and excitement to your life, Paloma is the one for you! Follow Paloma's foster journey with @the_skyline_pack on Instagram. Story
I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereHello from Milo! Milo is a gentle and loving soul. This sweet boy may have had a rough start in life, but he has made tremendous strides in improving his social abilities in his foster home. He was once fearful and nervous around new situations and people. Now, he eagerly welcomes guests to his home, wagging his tail in excitement for some tasty treats. He's even conquered his fear of passing strangers on the leash! (He still may have some stranger danger but it's getting better every day.) Fosters have reported that Milo is a playful and healthy pup who loves nothing more than being outside, playing, and exploring with his furry foster doggie siblings. He's full of affection and adores being petted, and his favorite place to cuddle up is right next to his beloved humans on the bed. His foster family calls him "Sunny Boy"! Milo is a good sleeper, sleeping soundly through the night, too. Milo will thrive in a calm and quiet household and environment, with routine and consistency so that he can continue to feel safe. He has learned to be a more confident dog! While Milo's past makes it hard to predict how he'll react around children or cats, one thing is for sure: this dog is full of love and loyalty, waiting for the perfect family to give him the love and care he deserves. With his good nature and willingness to learn, Milo is ready to be a faithful companion for life. Could you be the one to give him the loving home he's been waiting for? Milo is about 3 years old and weighs 59 lbs. He would prefer a quiet and adult-only home at this time. Story
I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereHi, there, my name is Pixel and your eyes are not deceiving you with a fantastic illusion, I am really this cute! I'm a brindle babe with soft, golden eyes and have a penchant for snuggling up for affection. I love people and appreciate all the attention. I enjoy gentle pets and in return will give you the softest little kisses! Pixel has been doing well in foster and they report she is the most loving, snuggly girl :) I love going on sniffaris to explore all of the interesting scents in the grass and have pretty good leash manners, too. I can be hoppy when I'm happy and can't wait to show you my joyful side! I've met a few other dogs at the shelter but have been nervous about meeting them. So as of right now, I would prefer to go home as a solo pet or I might be okay with another neutral dog. But when there are many others, I get overwhelmed and uncomfortable so definitely no dog parks for me. I am about 5 years old and weigh just under 65 pounds. Follow me @adopt_oas_pixel on Instagram! Story
I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereThis Dog is Available By Appointment Only Awww, Patti Smith makes our hearts melt. This cutie was frightened when she was found wandering in Oakland but seemed to want to be near people even if she was not so sure about them. With some patience and care, Patti Smith has come out of her shell in her foster home! She is a joy to be around. Her foster family reports that Patti enjoys long naps on the most comfortable surface she can find, has great leash manners (although sometimes there's a squirrel that she just can't resist), and is fully house trained. She has been left alone for up to five hours at a time and peacefully napped the whole time. She also enjoys car rides as long as there's a place for her to curl up and nap. You'll notice a theme here - sleeping is high on Patti's list of favorite activities! One of the cutest things she does is when she's given a new bone - she grunts and struts around the house to show it off before settling down to enjoy it. And when she's feeling herself, she'll roll around on the grass for fun. She is a sweet and mellow companion once she makes friends with people. Patti Smith has shown some nervousness around people she does not know trying to pet her, and will be best in a quiet home. She's about 90 pounds and would blossom even more in a warm, loving furever home (with comfy places to nap)! He adores people and forms deep bonds with his humans. And yes, he has mastered the art of "puppy eyes"! Max is incredibly soft and adores affection and belly rubs. Don't let his senior status fool you; full of life, this pup is far from retirement and maintains excellent mobility, hearing, and eyesight. He relishes going on walks, car rides, and is always eager for new adventures, such as exploring the coastal trail at Half Moon Bay or hiking on local nature trails. His current routine includes two daily walks around the neighborhood and mental exercises to keep him healthy and content. He reveals his playful side when pouncing on plush squeaking toys or zooming around the yard. Max has mastered many new skills, proving that older dogs are both capable and intelligent. He is crate trained, and understands numerous commands and associated hand signals. Max is highly food motivated and fearlessly attempts anything for treats, from navigating a long tunnel to jumping over small objects. His food motivation aids in his training and eagerness to learn new tricks. Max resides in a suburban foster home with a yard enclosed by a 6-foot fence, where he enjoys a balance of indoor and outdoor time. While Max prefers to be the sole focus of attention, he has enjoyed a few playdates with select tolerant dogs.  If you're searching for a truly remarkable companion with a sweet and affectionate demeanor, look no further than Max. Story
I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereMeet Sonja, the ultimate couch companion and snuggler. Though she loves lounging around the house, she also makes a great plus-one for all of your social outings. Sonja is a lively girl and is quick to tippy-tap her toes when she's excited, especially about her favorite foods like cream cheese, peanut butter or tuna. She is a great dance partner, and when it comes to dinner time or treating, she will impress you with her lady-like "sit" command. She can't resist soaking up the sun, and may even try to trick you into letting her out for a sunbathing session. Sonja is a very social and friendly dog who loves being surrounded by humans. She is well trained, housetrained, and is perfectly comfortable in a crate. She knows basic commands such as "sit," "down," and "stay." and is a polite and well-behaved house guest. She prefers to sleep on a bed with her humans, but is also content in a crate. She has met a wide variety of people of all ages and has done well with everyone. She would do best in a home with a well-fenced, sunny yard as she can get a little worked up around other animals. Ideal for Sonja to be an only pet in the home. She is well-behaved on a leash and enjoys shorter hikes, but tuckers out around 2 miles. Sonja is about 7 years old and 55 pounds. She is in a foster home, and you can reach out at sonja@jeffvier.com or see more of her (and message her) @sonjadog_oas on Instagram!
