Story
Everyone meet Merle, a 2 year male old border collie mix. Merle is a super sweet and loving border collie mix who loves his people. Merle needs room to run and would be best suited for a home with a big yard. Merle came to us as a medical dog with a big gash on the side of neck. He is all healed up and took the injury in stride. Merle loves to play with other dogs but much prefers people but would love a dog brother or sister The following must-have's for Merle -big fenced yard -patience for a young dog mind -time -herding dog experience -active -home often Bonus: another dog to play with No on the following; condos or town homes ex Merle is on the lankier side for a border collie..but still only weighs about 40 lbs or so. He does have young dog energy and does need to learn some manners but it's all good natured. He would also be best suited for someone that can handle a medium/large dog. He is very eager to please and bonds deeply with his people. Loves all people and most dogs he meets! Merle loves car rides, is good on leash, a gentlemen in public and just an all-around good dog. He does have some separation anxiety but once in a routine, it gets much better. Crate training is recommended as he loads up in the crate with ease. Merle is healthy, neutered, chipped and all up-to-date on vaccines If he sounds perfect for you, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family.

Story
!n Santa Cruz - Meet Ranger, a 8 year old Border Collie male. Ranger is is typical border collie who is playful and super smart. Ranger came to us after his owner passed away. He was loved but didn't get out too much. He was 1 of 4+ plus dogs and we think the dogs were left to their own devices. With this being said, Ranger can be nervous in public and is more of a homebody. Ranger can be good with other dogs when he gains trust with them but we think he be best suited for a home as the only pet (no cats). Ranger's ideal home would be: -a home where he can be a priority -a home experienced with border collies or other herding breeds -owners that are understanding of his sensitives in pubic -would be best suited as the only pet Ranger is a fun loving border collie but he also has an off switch! He is perfectly happy relaxing on the couch hanging out with his owners. Ranger will make his people very happy but they also need to be understanding of his background and manage his environment. Ranger is; fully house trained, has good house manners, no nuisance barking and is easy to live with. He also has some basic training under the right circumstances. Ranger is is neutered, up-to-date and microchipped. If you would like to learn more about this sweet guy, please submit an application. https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family.

I didn't want them to go to a shelter so i have been taking care of them until they find a new home. I have been taking care of him since and got him fixed and microchipped. He is a friendly dog and loves walks, running around the yard, retrieving a ball. He is pals with Daisy who will also be listed on this website. They both love eating peanut butter and chewing on rawhides. They love going to the dog park and running around off leash (as long as they are in an enclosed area. The are both very sweet dogs. All of our foster dogs are kept in individual homes.  Go to our website Bayareasiberian.org to get the foster home contact if you do not see it in the bio.Meet Aurora: A Sweet Survivor Ready for Love! Introducing Aurora, a beautiful blue-eyed Husky who has endured a tough past but is now ready to find her forever home. Aurora was rescued from a heartbreaking situation in Texas, where she was stuck in a small pen with two other huskies, deprived of food, water, and shade in the scorching heat. Despite the neglect she faced, Aurora’s spirit remains unbroken, and she is one of the sweetest and friendliest dogs you will ever meet. Aurora loves everyone she meets and has a special way of making you feel loved with her gentle nature. She enjoys being vocal, but her cute howls are more endearing than loud and repetitive. One of her favorite things to do is lean on you and give kisses, showing just how affectionate and grateful she is for any attention and love. On a leash, Aurora is pretty easygoing and prefers a leisurely pace over running. She’s not particularly into toys but finds joy in simple pleasures like walks and cuddles. When greeting new friends, she might jump a little out of excitement, but her enthusiasm is always sweet and never overwhelming. Aurora is looking for a loving home where she can be cherished and cared for. If you’re ready to open your heart to a dog who has so much love to give, Aurora is waiting to meet you. Story
Foster, Adopt or Foster to adopt handsome Rocky!   Rocky’s beautiful eyes tell a history of abuse and neglect, but still hold a hope and love that will melt your heart. Although Rocky is initially shy, he greets trusted friends with a tail wag and asks for neck scratches. Just give him time to settle in, and Rocky will devote himself to you!   Rocky is a mellow fellow. He likes to always be near his trusted person, but doesn’t pester for attention. If he is given access to a yard, Rocky will move between indoor naps and outdoor activity on his own. He has been patient with up to four other dogs on our “pack walks” - even when the leash got tangled! Rocky loves to learn and is great in the car and on leash, and dog- and cat-friendly. Daily walks, yard time, and your presence will make him perfectly happy.    Rocky is 5+ years old, neutered, vaccinated, and healthy. He will be a wonderful companion in a calm, dog-savvy home. Because Rocky is happiest in a calm environment, we recommend a home without children. Rocky’s family needs to provide him with mental and physical enrichment and activities, help him build his confidence, and train him using force-free, positive, reward-based methods.    Please open your heart and home to Rocky! We will consider a foster, adopt, or foster-to-adopt arrangement.  http://www.tinyurl.com/AdoptMeNow September 22, 2024, 12:05 am
