Story
Meet Indy, the sweet and spirited 3-year-old Doberman Pinscher mix who`s been waiting for her forever home for a whole 18 months! She’s been living the good life in her foster home, but now she’s ready to graduate to her permanent family. Indy’s not just your average dog—she’s a one-of-a-kind girl with a heart as big as her paws, and she’s looking for a home where she can truly shine as the center of attention.Indy is a bit of a diva when it comes to sharing the spotlight (and, well, everything else). She’s the kind of girl who enjoys a good playdate with other dogs, but at the end of the day, her heart belongs to her humans and her treasured possessions—and she’d prefer to keep it that way. So, no other pets, please—Indy wants to be the queen of the castle! She’s also better suited for a home without small children because sometimes, Indy just needs a little space to work her magic. Now, let’s talk about her achievements: housetrained? Check. Crate trained? You bet! Indy is already well on her way to being the best girl ever, and she’s eager to continue learning. This quick learner thrives on positive reinforcement and is always up for a challenge. Whether it’s mastering new tricks or discovering how to be the best cuddler ever, Indy is game for it all.Oh, and car rides? Well, let’s just say Indy’s still working through her `Are we there yet?` phase. But with some love and patience, she’ll soon be ready to hit the road for some adventures! If interested in meeting Indy please reach out to the foster Karen: windjammer20@gmail.com. This pet has been spayed, microchipped and is current on vaccinations. She is ready to join your forever home today!

Story
Meet Sailor! Sailor is a male, 1-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix. He weighs 58 pounds.Sailor arrived at the shelter as a stray. When he first came in, he was very scared and unsure of everything going on. As time went on and staff worked with him (and fed him lots of treats), he was able to gain confidence and he has warmed up immensely! He still needs a moment to open up to new people, but who can blame him? Once he gets to know you, he is incredibly sweet and wants to stay by your side. He still has some learning to do about being a dog in this big world, but he cannot wait to start that adventure with you! Sailor will need a home with kids 12+.Sailor will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. Sailor will need a home with no small animals.Sailor is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and ready to go home today. The shelter is currently open by appointment only. Story
Meet Shadow, a 4.5-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier Mix. He weighs 60 pounds. Shadow is one of our longer term residents and has been with us since March.Shadow arrived at the shelter as a stray. He is a friendly and happy pup who loves to play! He is also a tank of a dog, but only because he doesn`t realize how big he is; he thinks he`s a 5 pound lap dog, and we don`t have the heart to tell him any different! Fetch is his game! Volunteer Megan says that `Shadow is a very good boy. He loves rope toys and tennis balls and is very interested in other dogs.` He has done well with other dogs, but would benefit from meeting any potential doggy friends to make sure everyone gets along. Shadow will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. We do not know how he will do with cats.Shadow is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and ready to go home today. He is currently participating in our Adopt From Home program. Story
Meet Moony! This sweet 6-year-old Pointer mix came to us as a stray, and while we don’t know much about her past, we do know she has a heart full of love to give. Moony is a little shy at first, especially when faced with new situations, but once she feels comfortable, her true personality shines through. She’s like that friend who takes a little while to warm up at the party, but once they do, they’re the life of the fun!Moony was briefly adopted but returned when she didn’t get along with the other dog in the home. We recommend slow introductions to other dogs, and there’s a mandatory staff-supervised meet-and-greet for any potential furry siblings. After all, Moony believes in taking her time to make sure every relationship is the real deal!Moony is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, spayed, and ready to go home today.
