Story
Inari is a 2.5 year old Black Mount Cur mix. She is incredibly affectionate, loving, and cuddly. She loves being with her people. Inari is house, potty, leash, and crate trained. She is non-destructive in the home and can be left alone outside of a crate. We are rehoming Inari because she becomes dominate and aggressive with our older female hound mix. She has been able to peacefully coexists for several months at a time, but can become resource guarding over food, treats, and our attention. A good home for Inari would be one with no other female dogs or dogs smaller than she is (42lbs). She would thrive in a home that keeps her active and provides positive reinforcement. We are highly motivated to find the right home for her and will help with 5 years of food and vet insurance. Additionally, our dog trainer is offering free rehoming training for the right family.

Story
We have more dogs being turned into rescue. We will keep our site update as they come in, are vetted and determined ready to be adopted. If you have never had a Pyr Puppy you need to read this : http://www.nepyresq.org/page/i-want-a-great-pyrenees-puppy-50.html The application process is to go to our website and fill out an adoption application form. http://www.nepyresq.org/page/adoption-process-47.html We do not accept INVISIBLE fencing for the following reasons: 1) Most Pyrs ignore the pain and go through it. 2) This is a guardian breed and this fencing does not keep people or other animals out of your yard. The Pyr could take them as a threat or be attacked. WE do not allow them to be tied out. It makes them aggressive. If you do not have a fenced yard then a fenced area would be acceptable. Most of these dogs are not a dog park breed. They bark a lot and can bother your neighbors.

Schatzi – DOB 5/4/2014 spayed female. She was adopted from us in 2017. Her owner is ill and could no longer care for her. She is good with other dogs. She is a shy girl. She did well at grooming even though it took 5 washing to get her clean and then groomed out. The first photo is of her back in 2017. The second before she was groomed and the other of her now in her foster home. She would do well in a home with another dog or being spoiled as an only senior dog . Good with cats too. Please go to our website if you are interested in one of our dogs. It explains the process and has an application you can fill out there. . If it goes through you will get an email from nepyresq@gmail.com with the next steps of the process. http://www.nepyresq.org/page/adoption-process-guidelines-48.html
