Story
Lilly is an excellent dog but due to life changes(divorce and health issues) and working schedule she is left home for far too long and it’s not fair to her. She would do well in a home where she can run and play and go on hikes and walks. She knows most of her basic commands but can use a refresher. She loves to chase her ball and swim. Good with kids and other animals. Could possibly make a good bird dog but she does like feathers a liiiitle too much.

Story
Ella is 4 years old and just over 60lbs. If you are looking for a hugging dog, then Ella is the dog for you. She is such a sweetheart with people; unfortunately other dogs bring out the worst in her. She loves walks but is very reactive if another dog is in the area. That is why she definitely requires a fence. Ella can be a little fearful of loud noises and strange people. Don't overlook her. If you would like to meet Ella (and she definitely is worth it!) please go to odas.org and fill out the preliminary under the Adopt column. Once received we will schedule an appointment for Ella to meet you.

Story
I'm Ginger and I'm a strong, independent lady! Every day, my friends here take me for my morning stroll- I'm housebroken, after all, so I have to start the day with a walk to... powder my nose. And I tell them every day- don't trouble yourself! I can take myself for a walk on my own! I just grab the leash in my mouth and... well, they always insist on holding onto it and coming along, but I know I'm the one calling the shots. I'm a queen, you know? No- amend that. Among animals, I'm THE queen. Not "one of a whole bunch of queens, all of whom are equal." I'd like to be the one and only pet in your home, please and thank you EVER so much. And why not? I'm all the dog anyone would need! I'm smart and sassy and loving. I know several tricks (sit, lie down, shake, high five, speak). I'm more of a "best friend who contributes equally to the relationship" type than a "subservient baby whose only two brain cells are dedicated to slavish devotion" type. I'm about seven years old now and I've made a name for myself here in the shelter. I'm a volunteer favorite- they love going for walks with me and hanging out with me. At 81 lb, I'm solidly in the "big dog" category, but... well, you can see from my picture, I've got a few pounds to spare. I've been here in the shelter for a while now, patiently waiting my turn, but I'm tired of waiting! I need you to come and get me. Be my other half. Be my best friend. And I'll be yours. If you would like to meet Ginger, please fill out the preliminary at odas.org/canine

Story
Hi human! They call me "Cool Hand Luke" here. It's a great name! I love it! I gotta be honest, though- even though I'm the kinda boy that people look at and go "Wow, that's a cool dog!" I'm not that concerned about being cool. To be cool, you gotta pretend you don't care and... why would I want to do THAT?! I'm all about earnestness and optimism and a big goofy grin. I love you and I'm not ashamed to show it! Maybe you think I'm tough because I'm such a big dude... but nope! You come near me, it doesn't matter if you're a stranger or longtime pal- you're getting some real slobbery kisses! Before I came here, I spent some time in a rural animal control and before that... well, it's a mystery! So when it comes to learning all about me, we're sort of starting from scratch. Do I like cats and toddlers? I don't know yet! I did scale a fence to go hang out with a dog friend... and then a second fence to go hang out with another (who... uh... didn't want a dog friend) before the people intervened for my safety, so I think there's a good chance I'll be okay with dogs... and might need some supervision when I go outside in a fenced yard. But I'd have to meet your dog before saying for sure. So if you've got room in your heart and home for a gigantic happy goober of a dog, I just might be your guy! My name is Cool Hand Luke, I'm five years old, and I'm neutered, up to date on shots, and fully vetted. If you'd like to meet me, please head over to odas.org/canine and fill out an application.

Story
My name is Chelsea and I'm mostly dog, but I'm convinced that I'm at least part bear. I've got a grizzly bear body for sure. Sure, I look intimidating at first- I'm a big black dog with a big head, pointy ears, and a gruff bark. But that's just the outside- inside, I'm a soft, squishy little teddy bear. In fact, you might even say I'm TOO much of a teddy bear. I love my people A LOT. And I've been through a lot in my life, so when my people go away... I panic. I'd love to live with somebody who is home a lot or someone who is willing to work with me, teach me that I can rely on my people to always come back for me, and commit to staying by my side while I figure it out. I'm worth the time and effort, though. I'm smart and snuggly. I've lived with other dogs, but I'm a lot of dog and wouldn't mind being an only pet. I've also been around medium-sized kids and loved them! I know some commands, I know how to walk on a leash, and I'm overall a great dog. I'm almost five years old (4 years, 10 months) and I think it's time for me to finally "end up" in a permanent home. Do you think you could be my person? My name is Chelsea, I'm almost 5, and I'm spayed, up to date on shots, and fully vetted. If you'd like to meet me, please go to odas.org/canine and fill out an application.
