Story
I'm trying to rehome a sweet but very protective mutt, I believe pit/german mix. She’s approximately 2 yrs old in Feb. We are not equiped with a safe enough yard and her energy is too much for me. She’s not fixed as well but perfectly healthy and up to date on shots. She needs a owner with a lot of love for her and energy and a big backyard with a tall fence. Someone who can train her and show her a lot of attention. She loves to run around and plays a lot. Very sweet dog. Perfect for training and protection.

Story
Rocco is a 4 year old Rottweiler who we adopted from a breeder on a farm. Rocco loves pup cups, apple slices, cuddles, and chew toys! He is house broken, kennel trained, up-to-date on vaccines, and good with children. We have another dog who he gets along with, but he becomes reactive in public when he comes across other dogs. Rocco is a very anxious dog that requires an experienced owner. We have decided to seek out another home for him due to his behavioral concerns - specifically aggression. We have worked with a trainer since he was young that specializes in resource guarding/food aggression and have made good progress in understanding that his aggression stems from anxiety. We have worked closely with his veterinarian as well, who recommended anxiety medication that he takes daily. Rocco is a sweet, loving, loyal dog who would benefit from an owner with less stimulus than our household is able to offer. We will supply him with the resources he needs to adjust to a new loving home.

Story
Summer was adopted two years ago by a lovely older couple who after having their beloved dog for 12 years was excited to have a puppy in the house again. However, shortly after adopting both individuals have gone through a slew of health issues that have now resulted in needing to move in with other family who cannot take in Summer. Summer is a loving young girl, who is very energetic and loves to bounce around and play. She is house trained where she will either go on a puppy pad or let you know she needs to go outside. She enjoys laying in the sun on the deck and playing outdoors. Summer does need some training still (she jumps and likes to play with her paws) that may not be best around younger children at the moment. However, she is not aggressive, just very energetic and needs some training on how to best be around other people without jumping or barking. Ideally, Summer would most likely mesh best with individuals who have experience previously adopting to best fit her needs.

Story
Ezno was given to me on the street by someone at work. He's about 7 months old and we've had him for about 2 months. Here's some more from what we've learned about him over the months: He's a great little guy. Learns tricks very quickly. He sits and waits before eating or going through doors. We're working on stay and lie down right now. He does pull on the leash while we walk. He's very food motivated. He loves to chew on beef tracheas and can be occupied with that for hours. He's done really well with crate training and does great on his own, he settles down only after a few minutes by himself. He likes to chase flying bugs when we're out in the yard at night. He's been pretty good with our three cats (he does try to play with them but they aren't quite fans of that) and is overall a great guy who just needs a family.

Story
**Think this dog might be for you? The first step is to complete an application: http://www.mominpinrescue.org/p/adoption-application_30.html We do not arrange transport for our dogs. If your application is approved, you will be required to come to us to pick up your dog.** Coco is 11 years old and she's diabetic, but not on a special diet, as per our vet's recommendation. Her insulin dosage is 5 units of 40u insulin once a day with breakfast. She absolutely loves all food and treats, but with diabetes, the amount she eats each day would need to be carefully controlled! She has diminished eyesight in one eye, but so far, her other eye is clear. She will follow her person around the house and is almost always in the same room. After a while, she will really warm up and is quite affectionate. However, because of this, she would probably do best in a home where she is the only dog because she gets territorial of her space with her person. Not physically aggressive, but a lot of barking. She will also bark at your face when she wants your attention and to be petted. Because of her diabetes, she is mostly pad trained, but she will not hold it, so she needs someone with patience and preferably very free access to a fenced-in yard. Someone who is home with her most of the time would be ideal. Located in St. Louis, her adoption fee is $65..
