Story
Petey was adopted at 6 months from a prior owner. He is now 9 years old. He currently resides with a golden retriever and does great with her. His attitude towards other dogs varies depending on the dog. He has food and toy preferences but has done well with our dog and other family members dogs. He would do best in a home without kids. He has not physically bitten or drawn blood on anyone before but he has growled when bothered. He is territorial to the couch and shows slight aggression with food and toys and being put in the kennel. We also have a cat in the house. Because of his breed (terrior) he is prone to chase her and not let her roam but has never been aggressive. He is extremely sweet and well trained dog. Fully potty trained and goes where asked. He's loving but he's getting older and has shorter tolerance to our home with young kids. We would love to see him find a home with someone who doesn't have kids and can give him patience and love!

Story
Neba is 3 years old. She loves cuddles. All she actually want to do is get attention and cuddled. She love to beg for your food but be careful because she has a very sensitive stomach. She loves being outside but only if youre outside with her. She enjoys company the most!! She loves fuzzy things. I always try to get her a bed thats Sherpa or fuzzy and she guards it with her life and loves it. She has a lot of energy so she really enjoys her walks. She pees a lot so beware of that. She atleast needs to visit outside in the morning, evening and night and extra potty time is great for her too to avoid any mistakes. Shes a good girl but leaving her out uncrated while youre gone maybe a mistake. She has anxious attachment issues and will potty in the house. She had one owner before me who bred her and I took her in and Ive been with her everyday because I work from home so that maybe the cause of anxious attachment style. But you will absolutely love her. Shes full of excitement and love.

Story
Meet Marley, a resilient and loving boy who embodies the spirit of survival! His story speaks to his strength; he was found in the rural areas of Arkansas, having endured a traumatic incident where he was shot in neck with the bullet existing his muzzle. Injured and in pain, Marley found the courage to approach people for help. After having surgery, he shows no lasting problems besides a cute snore when he sleeps. Sadly, he also has scars from being hit with shotgun pellets, so it’s understandable he’s terrified by gunshots. Marley is around two years old, weighs 50lb and probably is a lab and hound mix. He’s an extremely smart, happy boy with lots of character. He does the cutest head tilt and wrinkles his brow when figuring something out. Once you gain his trust, he becomes your best friend and the perfect snuggle buddy. He can be a sensitive soul who would do best in a quieter home with someone who works from home or home more than gone. He does require a house with a fenced-in yard and ideally another playful dog, his size or larger since he loves nothing more than a good game of chase and wrestling. Marley is very food motivated, highly intelligent, and a quick learner. As this bio is being written he know sit, lay, stay, shake, wave, spin, touch, target, go around, and bow. By the time you meet him he will have learned many more. He loves to pounce after a tennis balls and a good game of tug of war. He would be fine in a home with older, calm children with dog experienced. He does need a home with no cats or small dogs because he is so playful. If you are looking for a loyal snuggle buddy, who will brighten your life, Marley might be the perfect match. Adoption donation required. This covers altering, DAP series vaccinations to date of adoption, Bordetella Vaccination, Rabies vaccination if over four months, Microchip, Deworming, heartworm test (if over 8 months), monthly flea/heartworm prevention to date, grooming, full veterinary examination, and temperament evaluation. All SOAR dogs go through a ten-day quarantine period to ensure they are healthy, before being adopted. We do not operate on a first come first serve basis, but screen applicants in order to find the best fit for our adoptable dogs.

Story
Here is proof that good things do come in small packages! Meet Darla, a petite, 11-month-old girl with big ears and an even bigger heart. Darla’s favorite things are her people, comfy beds, and food! She would enjoy a canine brother or sister to play with and learn from. She would do best in a home without cats or small animals as she has a high prey drive. Darla is very smart and easily motivated by treats. She is quickly perfecting walking on a leash, basic commands and house training. Darla sleeps in her crate through the night, alerting her foster family when morning comes. She has been a perfect office assistant, resting or playing quietly when her foster mother works from home. Darla is a bit shy, her new family should help socialize her by taking her on walks and to new places. You will definitely want to show off this cutie off.
