Story
Meet Hazel, a soulful sweetheart whose eyes tell a story of longing for love. This gentle Pitbull mix, around 3 years old and 45 lbs, has faced disappointment after being returned from what seemed like a promising home. She connected well with the family and enjoyed exploring the yard, but sadly, the introduction with the resident female dog didn't go smoothly, as there was tension between the two canine ladies. Hazel's heart is pure and gentle. She's never shown aggression towards humans, cherishing every moment of affection on the couch and being remarkably patient with a toddler. Her playful spirit and ability to leap a 4ft fence highlight her agility, though her excitement sometimes results in a clumsy bump or two around the house. Despite her setbacks, Hazel's love for life shines through during playtime. Whether chasing balls or engaging in tug-of-war, she exudes enthusiasm and a longing for companionship. Yet, deep down, she yearns for a home where she can be the sole focus or where introductions to other pets are taken slowly and with care. Hazel waits patiently for the perfect match, someone who will see beyond her brief history and offer the stable, loving environment she truly deserves. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this resilient companion, please apply for adoption at [Peace4Paws Adoption Application](https://peace4paws.org/adoption-application). Together, let's rewrite Hazel's story with the warmth and security she craves. If you have specific adoption or foster questions, please email: judy.atchison@yahoo.com THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN RESCUING A DOG! Story
Meet Kris, a beautiful 3-year-old 45 pound husky mix with a heart as vast as the Kentucky skies he once roamed under. Kris is a puppy at heart - full of life, pure joy and loyalty, with one mesmerizing blue eye that reflects the depths of his longing for a loving home. Despite his undeniable charm and sweet nature, Kris finds himself questioning why he remains overlooked and unchosen by his forever family. Abandoned by his previous owners when they relocated, Kris sought solace in the confines of an outdoor Kentucky shelter. But amidst the bleakness, a glimmer of hope emerged as fate led Kris into the care of Peace4Paws, who recognized his worth and welcomed him with open arms. Now, Kris eagerly seeks the feeling of home, yearning for the joy of belonging to someone who loves him the way he craves to be loved. Kris is the definition of the perfect companion, as his past hasn't hardened his sweet soul — he's man's truest best friend, and adores the company of children, dogs, and cats too. Housebroken, neutered, and up to date on all vaccinations, Kris is ready to embark on a new chapter of his life, filled with adventures and sweet moments to share. And we know he will spend his life showing you he was the right choice. With a playful spirit that revels in the great outdoors yet knows the comfort of a quiet evening by your side, Kris longs for someone to spoil with his unwavering love and affection, while hoping to receive the same in return. Will you be the one to give Kris the home he dreams of, where he can finally lay his head down knowing he is cherished beyond measure? Story
Meet Beauty, the delightful approximately 5-year-old Hound mix who's 54 pounds of pure joy! Beauty was one of the lucky dogs that Peace4Paws was able to jump in and save from an overcrowded shelter in Kentucky just before being euthanized. Now, Beauty is poised to embark on a new chapter of her life, filled with love, safety, and endless tail wags. Already spayed and up to date on all her vaccines, Beauty arrived in NJ on May 19th eager to start her new life. She settled in immediately at her foster home sleeping cozy through the night with her foster mom and Jean another Peace4Paws foster. She is ready to melt the hearts of her future forever family. Beauty promises to be the perfect companion for anyone lucky enough to welcome her into their family and home.
