Story
Coming soon in Salt Point! Meet Baby Blue a diamond in the ruff. He is a blue healer mix who is around 2 years old. He came into the shelter as a stray so nothing is known about his earlier life but since coming to my house he has been working on manners and basic obedience. This will need to continue in his new home. He is a big dog at 65 pounds and can be pushy, rude, and sometimes pulls hard while on leash. He loves to cuddle and will force himself onto your lap and flip your hand to make you pet him. He is very active and needs a home who will exercise his body and mind. No cats or small children, he will knock them down, but older dog savy kids are ok. He loves to chew bones, is good loose in the house, and sometimes sleeps upside down in the cutest way. Baby Blue gets along with all the dogs in the house and needs a fenced in yard to run and sunbathe. He is currently in foster in Salt Point, NY. If this cute boy sounds perfect for you , please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- New York, NY Meet Bohdi Bear! He is an 4 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 140 lbs. He is microchipped, but isn’t neutered, up to date on shots or on heartworm prevention. Bodhi Bear is good with kids and cats! He will need a home with calm dogs only! He can be reactive when dogs get excited, because he gets excited. He also has leash reactivity because of this excitement. Bodhi Bear will need training because he counter surfs and steals food from the table. He also begs and will attempt to eat food from your hand. The owner is surrendering him because they are allergic and unable to care for him financially. He needs to go ASAP! If you think you can provide a great home for Bodhi Bear, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Bodhi Bear. Owner’s Contact Information: Ashlee at ashlee.que@gmail.com.

Story
In Oswego-Odie is a 9 month old handsome boy rescued from an Oklahoma kill shelter. He is neutered, UTD on all shots and is the sweetest goof you will ever have sharing your life with. Odie has a soft mouth, meaning he nibbles your hand and toes with a gentle touch. He has proven to be a good watch dog barking when someone comes to the door and protects me all day by sleeping on my feet! He is crate trained during the night, for now and shows some promise of asking to go outside to potty during the day. Odie loves hugs, brushing, and a full body massage. He is great with other dogs and is being trained by my cat to allow for personal space. He's doing well with that (so is the cat). Face it, Odie is just a puppy and is curious about EVERYTHING. He is learning to leave it, drop it, back up, sit, NO, outside, come, and go to bed. Oh, the best word he's learned is the word COOKIE! Odie would be great w kids, and a large family. If no large family? He would be a great companion work dog, riding shotgun in the truck going to work with his human (he rides well in the car). Odie does not have a mean bone in his body, loving EVERYONE he meets. Please someone open your heart and Furever home to this beautiful loving big goofball. He will bring years of enjoyment and companionship to your life. Here is the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family and a $100 transport fee which is 1/2 of what we paid to transport him from Oklahoma to NY
