Story
Weston is about 4 years old. My wife found him at a rescue in Tennessee, where he was scheduled to be put down the next day. The day we got him you could see every bone in his body, his spine, his ribs, he was pitiful, but as you can see he is very healthy now. We have a 4 year old son that Weston has always got along with just fine. We also have an old beagle, and Weston have has had a couple fights with, we are unsure what started them. Besides those 3 fights they have gotten along fine to the point that we would let them sleep in the same kennel. No we do not crate them together anymore, but ive been through a hard couple years, losing my 3 1/2 month old daughter a couple years ago broke me but Weston was always there for me to lay me head into to cry or hold. This dog has got so much love in him. We dont know what the poor guy went through before we rescued him, but whatever it was had to be hard. He listens so well. He’s a big lap dog. He does like to eat, we love him

Story
This animal is NOT available through Brother Wolf Animal Rescue. This is a courtesy listing only, so you will need to contact the current owner for more information or to adopt. PLEASE CONTACT THE OWNER: text: (512) 785-0144 email: jordan.t.janes@gmail.com Meet Alfalfa, a well-behaved mellow guy who loves to hike! Alfalfa is a 7-year-old lab chow mix around 80lbs, who is fully house trained, neutered, and has perfect indoor manners. He is super sweet - he loves to cuddle on the couch and adores being brushed. Alfalfa checks all the boxes for a carefree buddy - he is quiet in the home, isn't destructive, doesn't jump on people or counters, doesn't beg for food, and doesn't have separation anxiety. Alfalfa knows basic commands like sit, wait, and come. He spends most of his day lounging around the house, but is also a great adventure buddy. Alfalfa's favorite activity is hiking and exploring outside on all the great trails in and around the Asheville area. And he's very social! He does great with all other dogs - he loves to play at the dog park and doesn't have leash reactivity. He's friendly to all people and pups. Alfalfa is in excellent health with no medical issues and is up to date on all vaccinations. In the 2.5 years that we've had him, he has not had a single accident inside. He's also got a super sturdy stomach (not sensitive to new foods or treats). He would do well in a range of homes though he would probably prefer older respectful children and an active household. We think he would love other dog siblings. He is quite reactive to cats, and wouldn't do well in a house with them. Our work travel schedule has made it difficult to ensure Alfalfa gets all the care and love he deserves, and we want to find a new home for Alfalfa where he'll be comfortable and well taken care of. Please contact Jordan via email at jordan.t.janes@gmail.com or by phone at 512-785-0144 to learn more or set up a meet and greet with Alfalfa.
