At least, that's what everyone says. Oh, and I love working out with my trainer. I'm a basic obedience MASTER. I'm kind of a big deal around here, if you can't tell. Darrell may not be the most handsome dog around, but what he lacks in appearances, he more than makes up for with emotional intelligence. Darrell is one of the best cuddle buddies you could ever ask for, and is very in-sync with "his people". Because of his eagerness to please, he's easy to train and LOVES learning new tricks. Darrell has been working extra hard with our behavior team lately, and especially enjoys his fieldtrips to nearby parks where he can practice his basic obedience skills in public. Darrell has been with SICSA for over a year and has won the hearts of staff and volunteers, but we know it's about time for this boy to find a home of his own! SICSA will be with you every step of the way to support our goldfish-faced goober's adjustment to a new home -- all you have to do is reach out to learn more! "If I lived with Ken, I would have a 6 pack just from busting a gut every time I looked at his face." "Oh, Ken...he is very cute, but in terms of brains.........well, he is VERY cute..." "Ken is literally just a cartoon character..." These are all actual quotes from staff about the one and only goofius maximus, Ken. To know Ken is to know true joy. Ken has ZERO clue what "be less" means. (To be fair, he doesn't have a clue about a lot of things, including his own size -- he's just a baby lap dog, if you ask him.) He believes everything should be done with no less than 200% effort, no exceptions. He loves making friends in playgroups with other dogs, and we think he'd do great in a home with another dog who also loves to party. Ken also likes going for walks in the park and laying like a frog on the cool concrete floor afterwords. He's a people pleaser who likes showing off all the commands he's learned in exchange for tasty treats. There isn't much Ken DOESN'T like, now that we think about it. Ken is serotonin, dopamine, enthusiasm, and PARTY TIME ALL THE TIME balled up into one dog. So, whether you're looking for a friend for your dog at home, or you're just looking for a dog to bring some infectious laughter into your life, Ken may be your perfect match.
