1.5 yr old male coonhound who loves the outdoors. House trained, crate trained, great dog who needs a house where he is the only dog or has lots of outdoor space to call his own. Energetic but a cuddler as well

I am delighted to introduce Caleb a 9 month old Lab/Hound mix. Caleb came to our rescue from a local pound with a leg injury that has since healed. Caleb is a very handsome pup with very soft beige markings that don’t show up in his photos. He is currently 24 kilograms or 53 pounds and about full grown. He is an energetic and playful boy who requires a lot of exercise and mental stimulation. We go on multiple walks each day with a total of at least 6 km daily. Several times a week we go to local conservation areas for a 5 km hike and on those days we may reach 9 or 10 km in total. I believe Caleb would be a good candidate for agility training in the future once his basic obedience classes are finished. Best advice I was given is that a well behaved puppy is a tired puppy. Caleb no longer follows me as my shadow and is happy to relax on his own in another room while I’m busy elsewhere. He spends much of his time in the living room where he has taken over the couch as his favourite go to place. Caleb quickly learned the sit command and automatically sits to have his lead put on for our walks and also when we return home. We have an after walk routine which he loves. Once his leash is off he goes to the couch and wiggles himself silly until I come to give him tummy rubs which he loves. He can get excited and try to mouth me so I always have a toy for him to chew on instead. The sit command calms him down. Caleb enjoys snuggling in beside me on the couch. He thrives on affection and praise. When I go on my yoga mat for my practice Caleb thinks I’m fair game for play and will snuggle into my butt while I do leg lifts or drive me crazy with his squeaky toy trying to distract me and play with him. I have had several different people over to visit. Once Caleb greets them gently he curls up on the nearby couch or will lie under the card table with his head on one person’s feet and his butt on someone else. Most people are amazed to learn he’s still a puppy because he is so calm and gentle. He loves people and welcomes visitors. In the house Caleb is pretty good on the recall command . I have taken him on a 50 foot long line to a green space nearby so he can get in some running. His recall can be comical as he comes running full speed and doesn’t always stop in time. I have to do a quick side step so he doesn’t run into me. It’s a work in progress. Caleb loves being outdoors and he spends time on a 30 foot long line in my backyard since I don’t have a fenced in yard. He is content to observe, chew his toys and explore while I work in the garden nearby. In the morning when I open his crate Caleb does a big stretch and then waits for an all over body rub before heading to the kitchen for a treat puzzle and waits for me to get my shoes on to go for our first walk of the day. He is very patient and once he sees I’m ready he comes over to get his lead put on. At the writing of this bio Caleb has been with me for a few months and has made amazing progress. He is a very intelligent puppy who is quick to learn. I have trained Caleb on the gentle leader because of his size and strength, but he rarely pulls when walking unless he catches a scent he really wants to follow . I was expecting him to pull when he encountered bunnies, squirrels and chipmunks but he just stops and watches them until they disappear and then he continues on his walk. Caleb spotted a baby toad on the road one night and was fascinated. He gently nudged it with his nose and it did a little hop forward. Caleb continued this gentle play for several minutes before we resumed our walk. Caleb is a very social puppy who loves to meet both people and other dogs.. He is very gentle with these encounters and is a bit sad when I won’t let him meet everyone on our walks. He automatically sits patiently when others approach hoping I’ll let him meet. This is something he learned to do all by himself. Because he’s a big puppy he can seem a bit intimidating to little dogs so we usually meet at a 3 foot distance. Caleb recently met my neighbours 2 cats in a friendly manner. He has no problem with cars passing by but large trucks and the back up noise made by the garbage truck startled him. Caleb is being fostered in a small rural community with nearby green spaces for his walks. Caleb settles well in my suv on a tether. If there’s a passenger in the back seat he’ll snuggle into them looking for a treat. When I put the rear window wiper on it startled him and he barked at it. Caleb is highly food motivated. Unless he’s being rewarded for obedience training sessions he has to work for his treats. He was quick to solve a level 1 and 2 treat puzzle and I have had to go to a higher level to stimulate his brain. Caleb can be a counter surfer so all food needs to be kept out of his reach. He is a bottomless pit with a healthy appetite just like any growing puppy. During the day when it’s getting near meal time Caleb will sometimes sit and look longingly at the kitchen counter where his treat and kibble containers are kept hoping I’ll give in. Caleb drinks a lot and should have access to the outdoors for a bathroom break every 4 hours or so. He does hold for 8 hours overnight. Caleb likes his human to be home more than away. He rarely barks or whines unless I leave the house. He is crated when I leave the house and he will whine for a few minutes when I first leave and then remains quiet until my return. I have checked with my neighbours to verify this. Caleb may regress when he moves to his forever home but with patience and time it can be overcome. Because of this Caleb would not be suitable for an apartment or condo where he would disturb neighbours. Caleb goes into his crate willingly with a treat and sleeps quietly through the night. He will sometimes wander into his crate during the day to see if he’s left a treat behind. Caleb is a wonderful pup full of love, energy and a sweet gentle nature. He is looking for a home preferably with a fenced in yard where he can free play and run to work off his high energy. His family needs to be outdoor oriented and willing to spend the time walking and hiking that this puppy needs. He would be fine with older children, over 6yrs of age, who would enjoy teaching Caleb how to play fetch. Caleb shouldn’t be left on his own for a full workday and would benefit from someone who worked from home or a family with alternate schedules so someone is home more often. Dwight is an approximately 8 month old Blue Tick Coonhound and he has some of the most beautiful markings that I have ever seen on this breed. He has a very smooth and short coat and his body is mostly black with some blue tick markings. The tops of his arms and legs are blue tick and blends beautifully into red tick on the lower portion of all of his arms and legs. His face has the beautiful black and tan colourings, and his eyes are a soft brown and forever energetic. Dwight currently weighs about 57 lbs and we expect that he will be closer to 65lbs once he is fully grown and filled out. Dwight has the longest and silkiest soft ears that you could just sit and rub for hours, and he will let you, he loves his human affection, especially when you are petting his head and ears. Dwight is definitely a dog that lives to please his humans! Dwight was originally found roaming around with his sister and were picked up by the local pound, from there they were both lucky enough to land a foster spot with Pound Dog Rescue! From the moment we brought Dwight into our home he has been a very happy go lucky puppy with a major zest for life. You would never know that he was abandoned and spent time in a pound, because this guy is just so happy all the time. Dwight is always looking for an adventure and going out for walks is his favourite time of the day! Dwight loves to be out on the town to see all the sights and sniff all the smells, Dwight also thinks that everybody should be his friend! Dwight is such a handsome boy and his intelligence is starting to catch up with him to match! Dwight is living in a home with adults and teens, big dogs and little dogs, old dogs and young dogs, and a cat. Dwight loved all the humans in the household immediately, he is very much a people pleaser and loves the attention and affection that he receives from his humans. That being said, Dwight is large and still a puppy and will be in his puppy stage for at least another 18 months, given his size and excitability I’m recommending a home where kids are aged 10+ up and who understand proper play and boundaries with dogs. When it comes to the dogs Dwight will try to get anyone to play with him, he loves a good game of tug of war, keep away and chase, and don’t forget the wrestling! Dwight has been very patient when playing with the smaller dogs in the home and is fairly respectable of his size in comparison to them. When it comes to the older dogs, Dwight will still try to initiate play even if they have expressed that they are not interested. We do sometimes need to step in to remind him that he’s not welcome to do as he pleases. We would recommend a home with another younger playful dog for him to spend time with, or he would also be more than happy to be an only dog! Dwight would absolutely love to be the only dog in the home getting all the love and affection from his people. Dwight does have a dog savvy cat in his foster home, and I would suggest that if he goes to a home with cats that they be dog savvy and that his new family understands that there will need to be slow introductions that are properly supervised for the first few months. Dwight has shown some prey drive in the house with the cat, so if she tries to run away it will trigger him to give chase, however when the cat is stationary he doesn’t show as much interest and can be distracted away from her. As mentioned, Dwight loves to go on his daily walks. He is currently being walked using a gentle leader head halter while we help him to understand leash respect. He is doing very well using this tool and his walks are very enjoyable. Dwight has the most precious prance when he walks, it’s mesmerizing to watch him! Dwight loves to see other dogs and people while we are out on our walks, as I said before, he thinks everyone should be his friend. When it comes to seeing wildlife on our walks Dwight gets very excited. We have been working on him maintaining leash respect when he sees wildlife and he has been improving each day. Continued walks in his forever home will ensure that he continues to develop good walking habits and leads his best life. When it comes to training, we are looking for a family who is absolutely committed to advanced levels of obedience and not just doing the required basic obedience and leaving it at that. Training is a lifelong commitment and while training hounds can be very rewarding, you must understand that hounds are a stubborn breed to train. We are hoping to find someone with hound experience for Dwights forever home. He is picking up on house manners beautifully and is really starting to understand what is expected of him in the home, he is learning that he must sit in order to get pets and affection. Dwight has been going to dog training while with us and he is doing very well! He is currently learning a controlled sit, down, come, stay, heel, and to pay attention to his name. Dwight is a working breed dog, and with that comes great responsibility to ensure that he is getting enough physical and mental exercise. Dwight is not suited for a home where someone will just take him for one or two walks a day, he requires much more engagement than that to ensure that he can be his best self and not become destructive in the home. Dwight would likely thrive with a family member who wants to participate in cani-cross or are runners, or regular hikers. He is a very outdoorsy dog and his people will need to be active, outdoorsy people too. That being said, Dwight is always down for a good cuddle session! Dwight really thinks he is a lapdog and loves to snuggle up on the couch with his humans, the closer the better! At the end of the day Dwight will happily curl up with us to watch a show, and during the day when his human works from home, he is always calm and quiet. On bad weather days if we are unable to get out for a walk, Dwight is happy to take part in some fun enrichment in the home to help to tire him out physically and mentally! Dwight has been working very hard on his housetraining and is doing exceptionally well. It’s important that his humans work with him to make sure that he is doing his business outside and are praising him for this when he does. Dwight only had a few accidents in the first few weeks with us, but since then there have been zero issues. Dwight does take a while to find the perfect spot to go, so it’s just a matter of making sure you’re watching him to ensure he has finished doing his business. Dwight has been on many car rides with us and it’s safe to say that he loves going in the car!! Anytime you leave the house is an adventure and he’s always excited to see where he gets to go! Dwight will happily curl up in the backseat of the car after spending some time watching out the window, he will always be quiet and he loves to tag along to keep you company. Dwight has been on a few car rides while his human does a salt run and he absolutely loved it. Dwight is crate trained and goes into his crate for all of his meals, when we go to bed, and when the humans leave for the day. Dwight does not love his crate yet, but we are working on making the crate a safe place for him where he can feel safe and enjoy. Dwight is vocal in his crate initially and it will take him a bit of time to settle down and become quiet. When we go to bed it’s only about 5 minutes before he calms and quiets down. When we leave for work, it is also about 5 minutes and as long as there are no disturbances in the home, he will soundly sleep otherwise. Given that Dwight can be vocal in his crate, we are looking for a detached home for him where there are no concerns that he will bug any neighbours. Dwight would definitely love his forever home to have a fully fenced, large secure yard that he could play in, he loves to run around the yard and pick up fallen branches to chew on and he also thinks that the river rocks are toys to be played with and has collected a pile of them in his dog house! Dwight has been to the vet and he has been heartworm and lyme tested, dewormed, neutered, microchipped, and has received all of his vaccinations, though he will likely need a booster in the near future. Dwight is looking for his forever person/home where someone has time to dedicate to him becoming the best dog he can be through lots of exercise and training. He’s looking for a home where he is the only dog, or where he has another young playful dog to keep him company. He requires a detached home with a secure fenced yard. Carter is a 4 mth old Goldendoodle (Golden Retriever/ Poodle mix) puppy and is growing quickly, will be a medium to large boy once full grown. He has the softest dark apricot colour coat. The great thing about the doodle breeds is you can have two totally different looking dogs, short poodle like, like he is now just being groomed or a shaggy cutie. Carter and some of his siblings came into our care, discarded from a puppy mill. Due to terrible mill breeding Carter has a defective left eye, which only gives him sight in the right eye. Its been checked by the vet and doesn’t require any extra care, its just cosmetic. This doesn’t hold him back from anything, he may bounce off a piece of furniture but still continues as any other pup would. Carter is a playful and loveable pup, which bring much love into any household. Carter’s absolute favourite things in life is loving humans, being loved, and food and not necessarily in that order. Carter is exactly what you would expect from a Goldendoodle puppy, he is adorably goofy, friendly, super playful, and so sweet. He loves to be involved and often if I’m in the middle of something a little head will poke in just to check to see if I need any help and if your busy he also will just relax on his own. Doodles are mixed breed dogs and therefore exhibit a spectrum of behaviours that are present in the breeds of their parents, however there are some behavioural characteristics that are very common that people should make note of. First, Doodles have a tendency to be very social dogs that do much better with their people around and engaged with them more than not. A Doodle that is left alone for long periods of time regularly can develop depression, anxiety, become obsessive about certain activities and these can result in other destructive behaviours. Doodles also have a tendency to be high energy dogs that need an abundance of mental and physical exercise, especially as they are growing into adulthood. These are not couch potato dogs that are content with a few short walks a day. If you have a more laid back lifestyle and are a homebody, a Doodle will NOT likely be a great match for you. They are very intelligent dogs who like to work, so taking them beyond basic training is highly recommended to help them live their best life. Regular trips to the groomer to keep him nicely trimmed will also be required. There is quite a bit of upkeep with this coat type and it can become a huge mess quickly so the time and energy to keep up this type of coat will have to be taken into consideration as well. This is quite the undertaking and not something everyone wants to take on or has the time or desire to do. If you have the time and will to take on a big commitment, then Carter just might be the right boy for you. Carter is a smart pup and a quick learner, he is doing a fantastic job with house training, sleeping in his crate at night and has the basic commands under him. Though he is very young he has caught on to going to the door when he needs to go potty. He loves knowing he will get a treat after, so much that he will go fake pee a few times right after. His new humans will need to stay on top of his housetraining so he can continue with his progress. Carter is learning to be confident alone in his crate. To help him with this we have him taking a few small naps in his crate during the day while we are home, he does whine for about 5-10 minutes but you need to be prepared to continue with this routine. It is very important for a puppy to learn to self soothe and be ok alone for a bit. He can sleep 7 hours through the night, as long as he does his duty before bed. Carters perfect home will be one with humans who are not away for long periods of the day, so if you work 8 hours out of the house he will not be a good fit. He can be left alone but for short periods. His ideal situation would be on where he is not home alone for more than 4 hours during the day. He just wants to be with his people so much and with his energy level for him to have to hold that in for long is just not fair to him. Carter would love a home that has a fenced yard, so he can run around and play fetch in, an apartment or condo would not be the best for this guy. If he does not get his energy out by outside play and walks you will notice his toy collection getting larger with added human shoes, socks etc… The more toys the better for him. Carter has been with younger kids but with his excitement he has knocked them over. If their are children in the household, we will require them to be 8yrs and older to be a great companion for Carter. Carter is in a foster home with his brother plus two other older foster siblings. He will do well with a home that has another dog, one that can put up with puppy spunkiness. He could also be an only dog if he has many people in the home and would get a lot of attention. It’s hard to say how he would behave around a cat but likely he would be his playful self and not know how to read the cats signals. He would need to be taught appropriate behaviour around a cat Carter is doing great with his training so far. However, he is just a puppy and will give your patience a workout when he gets into a lovable goofy mood and inevitably breaks rules that he knows he’s not supposed to break. Carters future family/people must be calm and diligent with correcting his behaviour and giving him lots of praise when he does the right thing. Carter LOVES making his humans happy and loves being praised. He has conquered the sit and we are working on the come, down commands. Even though he may learn fast we want to remind potential adopters that he is very new to the world and so he needs guidance and support. He is a good puppy, but a puppy none the less and puppies are tiring and need constant support while they grow and navigate the world. Having previous puppy experience, or experience with a high energy dog would be a great asset for a potential adopter. Carter likes just running around fast in the yard, zooms we will call them. He has not been out on a short leash very often. We have had him on a long 10ft/25ft leash for walks on trails and training sessions. Carter loves it outside and is good with staying close unless he is running with the older dogs, but he is very good with coming back and checking in. Walks will have to be short but frequent for the first while, as he gets use to a short leash. He has not been exposed to super busy areas, so the traffic noises etc… will startle or stress him. Once he is older he will need a few long walks a day. One of these walks could be substituted with a jog/bike/or hiking or a big play in the backyard with his humans interacting. If he gets the proper amount of physical and/or mental exercise he will be an outstanding boy. It will also help with his crate since he is not a lover of crate time. If he plays hard he will crash hard. Overall Carter is the epitome of what you would expect of a “Goldendoodle” puppy. He is loving, goofy, and super sweet. He is clingy and curious and a companion animal through and through. Carter is going to make a family/people VERY happy and will be a great addition to anyone with an active lifestyle who has a lot of time and love to give. Lenny’s perfect home will be one with humans who are not away for long periods of the day, so if you work 8 hours out of the house, he will not be a good fit. Lenny is doing great with his training so far. However, he is just a puppy and will give your patience a workout when he gets into a lovable goofy mood and inevitably breaks rules that he knows he’s not supposed to break. Lenny’s future family/people must be calm and diligent with correcting his behaviour and giving him lots of praise when he does the right thing. Lenny LOVES making his humans happy and loves being praised. He has conquered the sit and we are working on the come, down commands. With having another puppy and our own two dogs the training of commands has come a little slow, however I have no doubt that he will learn fast once he is at his forever home. Even though he may learn fast we want to remind potential adopters that he is very new to the world and so he needs guidance and support. He is a good puppy, but a puppy none the less and puppies are tiring and need constant support while they grow and navigate the world. Having previous puppy experience, or experience with a high energy dog would be a great asset for a potential adopter. Lenny LOVES just running around fast in the yard. He adores being outside and is good with staying close unless he is running with the older dogs, but he is very good with coming back and checking in. If it was a bit warmer, he would stay playing in the yard all day. He loves bounding and playing in the snow and throwing toys in the yard. Chase and tug of war are also his favorites. He literally runs the yard with a happy and goofy puppy smile. Walks will have to be short but frequent for the first while, as he gets used to a short leash. He has not been exposed to super busy areas, so the traffic and other noises may startle him. This will become less and less with exposure during walks. Once he is older, he will require longer walks daily. One of these walks could be substituted with a jog/bike/or hiking or a big play in the backyard with his humans interacting. If he gets the proper amount of physical and/or mental exercise he will be an outstanding boy. Overall, Lenny is the epitome of what you would expect of a “Goldendoodle” puppy. He is loving, goofy, and super sweet. He loves his people and will always stop in for a quick kiss and snuggle. Lenny will be a great addition to any family with an active lifestyle who have a lot of time and love to give. Kova is a mix of Beagle and Pomsky (pomeranian and husky cross. Although sometimes in the puppy mill world this could mean eskimo spitz, based on her size we suspect the latter). Kova currently weighs about 14 pounds and is going to be a smaller sized dog likely no more than 20 to 25 or so pounds. Kova is still a sweet little puppy with thick soft puppy fur that is a gorgeous tri-colour with her body being mostly tan, a long stretch of black down her back fading into grey down her sides and with some cute white on her head, chest and legs. Her paws are so white that it looks like she is wearing white socks! Kova is such a sweet natured dog and you can see it when you look into her beautiful dark brown eyes that show such curiosity and wonder for her surroundings. Kova and her siblings were unfortunately puppy mill discards that didn’t find a home, so Pound Dog Rescue took them in to give them the best chance at finding their forever homes. Kova was full of joy and excitement when we brought her into our home and it didn’t take long for her to warm up to her surroundings! She loves to check everything out and has such confidence to explore and do whatever she wants to do. This girl is certainly a leader and is always initiating play time, or initiating a good sniffing hunt in the backyard. Kova would do well in pretty much any home situation as she is a pretty easy going gal. She absolutely loves all of her other foster dog siblings and wants to run around and play with them all the time. When they are outside it is constant playing and sniffing out those real good scents, getting zoomies to run from one end of the yard to the next, she also loves searching for sticks to chew on. Once she comes in there is always more play time, then some independent play with a toy or chew bone, and then she will find a nice quiet and comfy place to take a nap. Kova certainly doesn’t let her size get in the way of playing, she has no problem initiating wrestling matches and tug of war with the big dogs, she certainly thinks that she is one of them! Kova’s ideal home would have a playful male dog for her to expel some energy, but we also think Kova would do well as an only dog. She would like to be the only female dog in the home so she can be the princess off the house! Kova can at times be a stubborn little girl and she wants to do things on her own time and thinks she can do whatever she wants, when she wants to do it. She will need experienced dog owners who can train her well and not let her get away with things. Kova is also currently living with a cat, she has not had much exposure to the cat other than to see her on her perch, but she has not shown much interest in her. Kova also lives with two teens in the house, considering she is still a puppy we have not noticed too much mouthing except for when she is really excited and they are down playing on the floor with her, but when it does happen we are quick to correct and she is very responsive to correction. She loves when the kids get down on the floor and play with her! When she gets excited her little tail will wag a mile a minute, and you can feel her heart beat racing! If there are kids in Kova’s forever home they should be ages 8+ and well versed with understanding proper dog play and interactions and be willing to work on training with her. Kova would love a big fenced in backyard to be able to run around and play in, she loves playing outside so much and it is probably her favourite thing to do. Kova should have a fully fenced, escape proof and dig proof backyard to ensure her safety when she is in the backyard. Being that she is mixed with both a Beagle and a Husky/Spitz type mix, both those dogs love to either follow their noses or try to escape! Kova is crate trained, so when it is bedtime or time for the humans to leave the house she happily walks into her crate and waits for a couple of treats, though sometimes you need to lead her in with the treats. Kova does initially make some noise when she is put in her crate during the day, and will yowl for a few minutes, but she does calm down and will stay quiet until you come back to let her out. When she goes in her crate at night she does occasionally let out a few yowls during the night, but it only lasts a minute or so and then she stops. Sometimes in the morning if we are taking a while to wake up she will let out a few low howls to remind us that she is in her bed. Because Kova does occasionally bark/whine in her crate, it is recommended that she go to a detached home so as to avoid disrupting neighbours. That being said, she will likely grow out of her yowling in the crate and it likely won’t persist for too long. Kova has been doing fairly well with her house training, but she does still have quite a ways to go to becoming fully housetrained, which will also come with time. When given the opportunity, she will pee outside whenever she has the chance, however she is still very young and still likes to pee whenever is convenient for her. She will need to be let out to pee about every 15-20 minutes during her “awake” time, to help with facilitating no accidents in the house. She is still pretty young and we are having less and less accidents each day, and this will continue to improve with her age and consistency. Overall, Kova is such a well-mannered little girl and has been an absolute dream to have. Once she gets some playtime outside she gets pretty tuckered out and is very well behaved inside. Kova will on occasion find an empty toilet paper roll to chew, but she is generally pretty good to only chew on her toys. Kova is a pretty chill and relaxed pup, she doesn’t mind hanging out in a different room then you and doesn’t feel the need to follow you everywhere you go. Kova loves attention and if you are petting another dog, you can bet that she’s going to push her way through to make sure that she can get in on some of the pet action too. When it comes to downtime in front of the TV, Kova thinks that the only place for her is in your place or sharing the seat with you. Whether your settling in for your favourite show, a good movie, or to play some video games, Kova will get herself comfortable on your lap and then sleep the entire way through until you’re ready to get up. Kova is a really good eater and her favourite time of the day is meal time! She is extremely food motivated which will make training a bit easier of an experience. When her food bowl is ready to go she will go and wait outside of her crate with so much excitement and energy and wait for you to put her bowl in and then she will eat it right up. Kova has been a good passenger in the car when we have gone out, she has been crated during all of her drives. She has been on just a few car rides but for all of them she was just a little vocal for the first few minutes then settles in to sleep for the remainder of the drive. Kova has only been on some short quick walks as we have been working on getting her comfortable with the leash and going out in public areas. Kova is still pretty young so she is still learning and understanding about walks, as she gets older she will require longer walks, but so far she has a great relationship with the leash and enjoys being out and about. Obedience training will be a must with Kova as it will help her develop a wonderful relationship with her new family, but also it will help her to understand what is expected of her and help set out rules in her new home. This should be followed by an advanced obedience class to get her to be the best girl she can be. I can’t stress enough how important advanced levels of training can be for your and your dog to help keep engaged and working and building on those base foundations! Being Kova is still such a young puppy, we will only consider a home for her where someone is home or has the capability to come home throughout the day. Puppies need to be taken outside for bathroom breaks very regularly when they are small and will not be able to hold it for an 8 hour work day. We are also looking for a family or person that is fully aware of the time commitment of a puppy and the work involved. Puppies are a total joy and bring so much love and happiness into a home, but you cannot underestimate the work and time involved in raising a puppy properly. They need constant supervision while young to expedite the house training stage and to ensure they aren’t chewing on anything inappropriate. As Kova is too little to be spayed at this time, she will need to come back to our vet in Cambridge to have this done at a later date (around 6 months of age). Therefore we need a commitment from her forever family to take her to our specific vet to have her fixed when the time comes. Kova’s adoption will be conditional on this commitment. Our vet is in Cambridge and therefore we will only consider a home for her that is a reasonable distance (within an hour) from Cambridge that can accommodate a drop off and pickup there to have her surgery done. Kova is looking for her forever family with someone who will spend their time walking and playing with her, going to training class, and someone who will relax with her at the end of the day. Ideally she would like to have a large fenced yard with another young playful dog to keep her company and run around with. Kova is such a beautiful, energetic and sweet natured dog and she is looking for someone who will love her forever and be active with her.
