Story
Polar | Female | 4.5 Months | Northern Mix Breed | Dogs: Yes | Cats: Yes | Kids: Yes Meet Polar! Polar, a lovable and playful pup from a remote Northern Ontario community, is ready to join your family! She has overcome a broken femoral head, and with veterinary monitoring, no surgery is currently needed. The rescue will cover future surgery costs if necessary down the road. Polar is a true love bug - an affectionate, friendly, gentle, and sweet companion who loves people and social interaction. She's highly food motivated, making training a breeze! This playful pup enjoys running around the house and yard, catching and throwing toys, and rolling and chasing balls. Ideally, Polar's family will be active, with time for play and exercise. She'll do well with families with children, provided they're gentle and patient. While not necessary, having a pet sibling for playtime would be beneficial, as Polar loves to play and stay engaged. In terms of training, Polar is crate trained, responding to the command "bed." She's mostly housebroken, with occasional accidents when we can’t get out out to potty fast enough when she wakes up in the morning. Consistency and patience will help her overcome this. At night, Polar sleeps comfortably in her crate, occasionally whining before settling. Polar is microchipped and current on age appropriate vaccinations. She is located in Oshawa, ON. Story
Tilly / Female / 10 weeks / Northern Mix Breed / Dogs: Yes / Cats: Yes / Kids: Yes Meet Tilly, Cali and Freya’s sister. Tilly is a playful and lovable 10 week old Northern mix breed puppy from our rescue partners at Northern Reach Network. Tilly loves everything in life, especially her toys, food, and people. Her favorite toys include her teddy bear and balls, and she enjoys eating from interactive puzzle toys like Snuffle Mats, towels, and Kongs. Tilly adores her doggy foster brother and tries to initiate play constantly, and she's just as affectionate with humans, quickly winning hearts with her friendly and sweet nature! Tilly is a curious and rambunctious puppy who is highly food motivated, making training easy peasy. She's working hard on her crate and house training, doing well in her crate when left alone, and sleeping soundly after a short period of “awoos”. Tilly’s foster family says she has been a joy to foster, and we've loved watching her grow, explore, and gain confidence in herself. Tilly is up to date on age appropriate vaccines. She is currently being fostered in Bowmanville. Apply to Adopt! https://forms.gle/yymbcMtXHvyEvUF76

Story
Whiskey / Male / 8 Weeks / Northern Mix / Dogs: Yes / Cats: Yes / Kids: Yes This is Whiskey, an adorable 8 week old puppy who is the epitome of sweetness and affection. He is one of Rory's 10 puppies from Manitoba. Whiskey loves attention and enjoys playing with toys, often zooming around the yard with leaves in his mouth. Food is his favorite, especially liver treats! Whiskey is playful, curious, and a genuine love bug who is also calm and independent. He uses a pee pad when needed but prefers to do his business outside, and he’s 90% quiet in the home. Whiskey has a large, puppy-proof area where he sleeps in his crate with the door open and knows to seek out the pee pad if he needs to go. His crate is located in the dining kitchen area, and you might find him playing with his toys inside, often lying belly-up as he entertains himself. He has a funny "mean stare" that quickly transforms into a playful hop for affection. Whiskey respects other dogs and enjoys playing, especially outdoors where he loves exploring leaves, grass, and dirt. He would do best with older children as high energy children worry him a little bit! He’s learned commands like "sit" and can navigate up the stairs, managing four steps on his own. He’s getting better with car rides and is learning to settle down quickly. Whiskey has a charming personality, often communicating with his adorable "talking back" when you try to pick him up. He can be a little dramatic if food is slow in arriving, but all these quirks make him incredibly cute! Weighing in at 15 pounds, he was the biggest of his siblings! Whiskey is current on age appropriate vaccines and is microchipped. He is currently fostered in Hamilton. Apply to Adopt! https://forms.gle/BTWMP7DA98Rmkn4B9
