Story
Ollie | Female | 12 Months | Setter Mix | Dogs: Yes | Cats: No| Kids: 14+ This is Ollie! Ollie is from Greece where she was found as a stray. She came to Canada to find a perfect home! Olive is a sweet, curious and affectionate girl. She loves her people and her companions, but requires patience with new people. Olive has a bite history - so she requires experienced large dog handlers. The gravity of this situation was precipitated by excitability and lack of training, as she was previously a street dog. She has since been at MNMK9 facility where she has been around other dogs and people with no concern for further bites. It is to be confirmed if this was a bite that broke skin or was more of a nip. Olive needs a home with lots of space to roam around, she will not thrive in an apartment/small space as she loves to snoop and wander. She needs enough space to roll around and be her silly self. Olive requires formal training on her leash skills as she is quite reactive and struggles not to pull. She is eager to approach other dogs and people. It’s not beneficial for Olive to meet other dogs on leash - rather in a fenced space unleashed. She lunges and this is a work in progress. Olive cannot live with cats, as she has a moderate prey drive. She is triggered by small animals and has a history of being too aggressive with the cats at her fosters home. It appears that she doesn’t understand her own size. Olive is a big girl, that is tall and strong. She needs lots of room to roam, which is why she requires a fenced in backyard. Until she has built her social skills around her reactivity, she needs to play in a large controlled environment. As for potty breaks, Olive is semi-house trained - as long as she has regular potty breaks (3-4 hours) there should be no concerns. She does require consistency, as she adjusts to a new space - as previously mentioned, she is coming from an outdoor boarding space, where she typically has free access to potty whenever she wants. Once she knows where to go, she should be perfect. She is very curious and hasn’t been in a formal home much. She has spent a majority of her training in a boarding/training space. Your home would require puppy-proofing, as she takes an interest in shoes/slippers and anything lingering on the floor. She loves a good stuffed Kong, lick-mats, brain-teaser games, snuffle mats or toys that she can chew on. She benefits from mental stimulation and enjoys keeping busy. Olive loves kisses and butt scratches. If she had it her way, she would be a couch dog. She loves to sit with her people and be pet. She is happy to lay with you when she is in sleepy mode, and is great in her crate overnight or when left alone. Ollie is looking for a family that will continue to invest in her training and socialization. Ollie is current on age appropriate vaccines, is spayed, and is microchipped. She is being fostered in Niagara Region, ON. ? Apply to Adopt! ?????? https://forms.gle/p3gqNi67HFEAhVpf9

Gunner | Male ♂️ | 9 Months Old | Collie Mix 🐑 | Dogs: Yes | Cats: No | Kids: Yes Dating Bio: Looking for someone who loves to have fun and enjoy the great outdoors! Adoption Bio: Gunner is a dog who loves the outdoors, especially snow! He is starting to like walks also, he needs some work, but does better when he's walking with another dog. He loves treats, sometimes his tartar Buster bones keep him busy for hours. Gunner likes attention, particularly a good belly scratch. He is a snuggle bug and enjoys sleeping in the bed at night, but when he's not sleeping, he likes to play with other dogs. Gunner will make a great member of the family and he loves to give kisses to his humans. He is very smart and eager to learn - a lot of stuff is new to him so he can be a little nervous at first but will come around as he gets used to it. He is current on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, neutered and is being fostered in Exeter, ON. 📌Apply to Adopt at the link in our bio.

Morty also likes a good canine snuggle (see photo two). He is housetrained, but needs work on recall and other commands. Is he the dog for you?! He'd love to find a forever home (without a cat 🐈). Leo | Male ♂️ | 6 Months Old | Collie Mix 🐑 | Dogs: Yes | Cats: Yes | Kids: Yes Dating Bio: I'm a bit of a ham, but you'll love me for it! Looking for that supporting character in my life to provide love and affection. Adoption Bio: Leo Loves attention! He enjoys playing with his toys, a game of the tug of war, playing fetch with balls and sticks, or just laying on his own and ripping a stuffy apart. He is Playful and very affectionate. Leo is so smart and treat motivated! He is incredibly loyal - he loves to cuddle and just be with his people, but he will also play a game of fetch or go on a long hike! Leo is still learning leash manners and how to act calm when coming up to people and other animals, he can be a little rambunctious and jumps up when he's excited. “Leo walks great though, when it is just us and our dog, but he is very vocal with excitement when coming up to other people and dogs,” Leo's foster parent. He is house and crate trained, he will whine a little in the crate, but settles down quickly. He is ready to learn more and more commands. Leo is so full of love, his want to be part of everything with his people shows how much he has to give and how excited he is to receive! He is current on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, neutered and is being fostered in Listowel, ON. 📌Apply to Adopt at the link in our bio.

Story
Kuma 🐻| Spayed Female ♀️ | 1.5 Years old | Northern Mix 🐺 | Dogs: Yes | Cats: No | Kids: Yes Dating Bio: Ready for a whirlwind romance full of bear hugs and kisses. Adoption Bio: Kuma is a very affection driven pup. She likes to get close and give you kisses to show she cares.  Kuma gave birth to a big litter of NINE Northern mix puppies who all looked like cubs and were given famous bear names: Baloo, Winnie, Kodiak, Koda, Kenai, Fozzi, Corduroy, Po, and Paddington. Most have since found homes ( Baloo, Koda, and Fozzi are all still available) and it's mama bear’s turn. She is happy just to lay around the house, cuddled up by the window or on one of the beds. She also loves to be outside. Anytime the door is opened, she is ready to go.  Kuma has also really started to enjoy walks and all the smells that come with it. She is still learning the ways of the leash, she does tend to pull, but knows when you stop she has to come back to position. She enjoys playing with toys in the backyard on her own, throwing a ball and then running after it. She also loves squirrels and seems to think at some point she will catch one! She is not a fan of being home alone and does get some separation anxiety. She is not 100% confident with strangers so she can be timid at times. She is starting to get used to traffic, but it's not one of her most favorite things in the world. She is crate and house trained, ready for a forever home. She is such a sweet girl, very loving and just wants her people to know she loves them. Kuma is spayed and current on vaccinations. She is located in Kitchener, ON. 📌Apply to Adopt at the link in our bio.

Story
Arctic | Male | 14 Weeks | Northern Mix | Dogs: Yes | Cats: Yes | Kids: Yes Here’s Arctic! Arctic is warm and snuggly, unlike his name sake! This sweet guy is a total and absolute love bug. He is always down to snuggle. He is a rowdy boy that loves to play with the other pups and chase around the yard. He would do anything for a wonderful belly rub after getting all his energy out! Arctic is a big people pleaser and wants to always be with you. He is very affectionate and playful! He’s a little smaller than his brother in size and floof but just as big in personality! Although they may be cute, puppies are a lot of work! Puppies need families that are home often to continue working on their house training and socialization. Their adoptive family must be committed to registering them for obedience classes. Arctic is current on age appropriate vaccines. He is being fostered in Markham, ON. 📌 Apply to Adopt! ⬇️ https://forms.gle/rJfNgo5PYSKgzn5p8
