Story
Hello! My name is George Costanza - but you can call me George! Or Georgie Porgie, as my friends do!I have been patiently waiting for my FUR-ever home since November 2023; I'm so excited for my new family to come along and take me home. I am a super fun boy who loves fetch, long walks and WATER! I would be the best cottage buddy, floating down the river buddy or hiking buddy. Imagine: me and you, in a floatie, lounging on the lake with a cold drink and a yummy snack! My new family should know that when I get excited, I can be jumpy. But I love training and am doing really well - I'm so smart that I know how to sit without even being asked! And I'm learning lots of other cool tricks too, just ask my friends. MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES...CHILDREN: Teenagers could be ok; no young childrenOTHER DOGS: Potentially, depending on the dog. It doesn't seem like I have had much experience socializing with dogs, so I can be nervous at first. Once I warm up, I can be playful although a bit awkward - silly me! I would be the best match with a very well-socialized and tolerant dog buddy.CATS: No, my energetic nature would likely be too much for a cat.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: No, I need an owner with previous dog experience.FENCED-IN YARD: Highly recommended, unless you live on a country property.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: No apartment buildings SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME...ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium-high.HOUSE-TRAINED: Almost! If you think I could be a good match for your home, click the "adopt me" button to apply!

Hello! My name is Beau!I'm an energetic fellow looking for an energetic family that will play and run with me! I am so smart, I love treats and will do almost anything for a good reward. I'm silly and fun, but I do seem to pull and bark on leash when I see people or dogs on walks. I'm excited to join a family that will enjoy doing training with me!MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES...CHILDREN: No young children. Teenagers should be ok.OTHER DOGS: No, I don't seem to have great manners when meeting other dogs.CATS: No, given my energy and exuberance, I would be too much for a cat.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: No, I would do best with someone who has previous dog experience.FENCED-IN YARD: Highly recommended given my energy level. HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: No apartment buildings due to my reactions on leash.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily, however in the beginning I would do best not left for a full work day.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME...ACTIVITY LEVEL: Medium-high.HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes.If you think I could be a good match for your home, click the "adopt me" button to apply!

Story
Hello! My name is Asher.I've been waiting patiently for a new home since March! I'm a friendly and easy-going guy. I enjoy lounging around the house or yard after a nice walk. I am very treat-motivated and love to learn. I'm smart and pick up on new tricks quickly. I may be prone to ear infections with my big floppy, furry ears and also prone to bladder infections. This just means I may require an extra vet trip here and there and some medications to make me feel better. I have also shown some resource guarding around my food - but nobody likes their things being taken, right? And I can be a bit sensitive around handling my ears when they are sore. I have been doing very well with training and am eager to join a home that will use positive training methods to help me improve in these areas. I've had a rough start to life and can't wait to join a kind family that will give me lots of love and good care.MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES...CHILDREN: No, I'm looking for an adult-only home. OTHER DOGS: No, I have guarded my resources from dogs in the past and would do best as the only pet in the home.CATS: No, I'm looking to be the only pet.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: No, I would do best with someone who has dog experience, ideally large or giant breed.FENCED-IN YARD: Highly recommended, unless it's a rural property.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: Any with yard.SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not necessarily.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME...ACTIVITY LEVEL: Low-Medium.HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes.If you think I could be a good match for your home, click the "adopt me" button to apply!

Story
Hello, my name is Aurora!I have been patiently waiting for my FUR-ever home since January - I can't wait to meet my family! The GHS family think I'm awesome because I am so very brave! I came to GHS with a broken leg in January, but my friends got me the surgery I needed and helped me recover. I'm so excited to be able to run again! I'm a friendly girl who loves everyone I meet. I am a favourite at Critter Camp and all the GHS birthday parties - I am respectful of and gentle with the kids, and am the best party guest. I enjoy cuddling up on the couch after a good walking adventure. I would love to join a home that has some experience with the husky breed and enjoys the fur that comes with that! MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES...CHILDREN: Yes, mature and respectful children.OTHER DOGS: No, I don't seem to enjoy the company of other dogs.CATS: No, I have a high prey drive and am not ideal for a home with small animals. FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: No, I'm looking for a home with previous dog experience.FENCED-IN YARD: Highly recommended.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: No apartment buildings as I don't enjoy dogs in my personal bubble.
