Story
We acquired Duke during the begining of COVID from a breeder in Sandy Oregon. He was 8 months old at the time. This was my first experience with a dog and I had no idea how active a jack Russell can be.He is very loving and devoted to family almost to a fault. He follows me around and makes it very difficult for me to leave the house As much as he loves us he will take any opportunity to run out the front door or find an escape route in the back yard.Zhe dislikes other dogs or any animal. He was attacked by dogs at the breeders when he wandered into the breeding area.He is very loveable but quite a handful for my husband and I who are in our late 70s.Istill work full time and my husband is bedridden. He needs a home preferably without children and pets and someone who can keep up with his energy and is willing to walk him and train him.

Story
Introducing Aspen, a brave little husky puppy with a heart full of potential and a past that makes his future even brighter. Abandoned in the woods and left to fend for himself, Aspen has a remarkable story of survival. Now, he’s ready to embark on a new journey - with you! This resilient husky puppy is learning that life can be more than just surviving; he's on his way to thriving and is looking for a special family to join him on this journey. Aspen may be a little wary of humans right now, but don’t let that deter you. With a lot of love and patience, we know he will show his true colors and become a loyal, loving, and endlessly curious pup who's ready to embrace all the joys of puppyhood. What Aspen Needs: - Attention and Training: Aspen is smart as a whip and needs a family dedicated to helping him learn and grow. Positive reinforcement training and plenty of patience will help him blossom into the best dog he can be. - Time and Commitment: He will thrive in a home where he gets plenty of interaction and stimulation, especially with other dogs. Aspen is not a couch potato - he needs activities, challenges, and lots of playtime. - Love and Understanding: Aspen has been through a lot and needs a family that understands his past and is excited about his future. He'll repay your love with loyalty and a lifetime of husky hilarity. Typical Husky Behavior: - Energetic and Playful: Get ready for adventures! Aspen loves to run, play, and explore. He adores his foster brothers and sisters and loves to roughhouse and run with the pack. - Smart and Observant: He watches everything around him and learns quickly. He'll do best in a husky-savvy home. - Mischievous: While Aspen is a good listener, he is also independent and loves exploring. He will need an environment that ensures he doesn't paint the town red! Aspen is looking for a forever home where he can finally feel safe and loved. If you're ready for a lifetime of adventure, laughter, and unconditional love, Aspen might just be the perfect match for you. Together, you can show him that being a puppy is about more than just surviving - it's about living life to the fullest. The Fine Print: - If you're interested in adopting Aspen, please complete an adoption application on our website: https://www.wahkiakumanimals.org/adopt-a-pet - We believe Aspen is a full-bred Siberian Husky (DNA test pending). He has been vaccinated and has an appointment to be neutered in August, which is included in his adoption fee and which will be required as part of his adoption. - We will be conducting meet & greets, interviews, reference checks and home visits before placing Aspen for adoption. Please note this takes time, and we are all volunteers at this organization, so we appreciate your patience!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Check Me out !Introducing Carmello, a 2-year-old male Doxy mix with a striking dark coat weighing 16 pounds.  Carmello is a cuddly little guy who loves to hang with his human on the couch, bed, chair, car, he will pretty much be your partner for any adventure (or nap) you want to take.  His coloring is a mysterious dark chocolate on top and a lighter brown underneath which causes a shadow effect.  He gets along well with other dogs with proper introduction, but he would be happy to be a solo pup.  It is unknown about cats, but due to his size it would probably just take a skippitypap or 2 for him to realize who is in charge!  But he is no pushover, Carmello believes he is a protector so strangers have to be fully sniffed before pets can commence.  He is a champ on a leash, fully house trained and currently resides in an apartment with no issues. His adoption fee is $450 and covers his vaccinations, microchip and neuter.   If you are interested in me you can fill out an adoption application  HERE  and we will reach out to you.  Welcome to ASR (rescuegroups.org)Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 14, 2024, 8:37 pm
