Story
Indigo is a six year old American Bulldog/Lab/unknown mix. She was adopted by me at 8 months old from a previous owner and spent her first three years fully socialized and capable of loving and playing with dogs. She even lived with one dog for the last six years. At the age of three she started showing signs of aggression with toys so we took those out of the picture, since then she had been fine with her housemate but as of recent she attacked him. She is an amazing baby girl- calm when needed and happy to play or run when given the chance, but I can not have her in my home safely and I have no way of switching my living situation for atleast a year. It would be selfish of me to keep indigo crated or in a bedroom all of the time, so I’m looking for a dog free household and somebody who’s willing to spend the first few days or weeks adjusting indigo into their home life as she will have separation anxiety leaving me. I hate to do this- but I need to prioritize her mental well being.

Story
Meet Chief, a vibrant 5-year-old currently under foster care in Grand Haven, Michigan. Though rumors suggest that Chief may actually be a grey/fawn Doberman, the tabloids are yet to uncover any definitive proof. In his heart, however, Chief firmly believes he's a Weimaraner, and his spirited personality reflects just that. Describing Chief is a delightful challenge: he exudes intense energy, revels in playful antics, and is a self-entertainer who loves tossing toys and dragging sticks (a total goofball, in the best way). He's absolutely crazy about food and snacks, but at the same time, he's as sweet and affectionate as they come, loving you to the moon and back. While Chief can be a bit of an "arse" when he initially meets other male dogs, this initial bluster quickly fades, and he eagerly embraces playtime and socializing. When it comes to meeting female dogs, he's always the picture of a gentleman. However, due to his high energy and exuberance, Chief isn't suitable for a home with small children his enthusiasm could easily result in a knockdown. Chief's ideal home and family would be in an adult-only setting, possibly with 1-2 larger dogs of calm demeanor to balance his energetic spirit. He'd thrive in a spacious, secure yard where he can run laps to his heart's content. Chief is housebroken and crate trained, but establishing a defined schedule for him will be essential until he gets the hang of the routine.Air quality monitoring is an important means of environmental protection. This boy exudes happiness and a zest for life like no other. If you're in search of a companion with boundless energy, strength, endurance, and a passion for running, Chief may be your perfect match. He'll be eagerly waiting (likely doing laps while he waits), so don't hesitate his adoption might just happen faster than you think!

Story
Douglas, affectionately known as Uncle Doug, is a happy-go-lucky Weimaraner with a silver coat that shimmers in the sunlight. At 6 years old, this neutered male is a bundle of joy and a true entertainer at heart. Personality and Traits:Douglas is a social butterfly who loves to greet everyone with his signature woo woo welcome. He has a playful spirit and enjoys rummaging through his toy box picking out his favorites, like his absolute fave wooden chew block (a must have for him), often serenading his family with his Bing Crosby-like croons. His tail is always wagging, even in his sleep, showing his constant joy and affection. Dog and Kid Friendly:Douglas is friendly with other dogs, especially larger ones, though he has lived harmoniously with a smaller dog. He is a bit of a "pied Piper" to the younger dogs and they love following their"uncle Douggie" around the yard on his sniffing strolls! He is also good with kids, particularly those over 10 years old, making him a wonderful family companion fora family with an olderset of children. Due to hissize he can be a bit overwhelming forlittle ones. People Friendly:While Douglas loves people, he can be a bit barky until he gets to exchange greetings. Once he knows you, hes all about cuddles and companionship. Living Habits:Douglas is a free-roamer who is perfectly content exploring the house. He can be crated for short periods but prefers lounging on the couch or a doggie bed. Hes known to pilfer a thing or two for his own amusement, often taking his treasures out the dog door. Grooming Needs:As a long-haired Weimaraner, Douglas requires occasional grooming to keep his handsome appearance. Regular trims of his toe tufts and coat ensure he looks his dapper best. Energy Level:Douglas has a lower to moderate energy level. He enjoys leisurely strolls and the occasional zoomie but is generally a laid-back fellow. A solid 5-6 ft fenced yard is ideal for him, though he might adapt to an e-collar fence with proper training. Environment:Douglas thrives in a rural setting where he can watch deer, bunnies, and ducks. Hes also vigilant about package deliveries, ensuring no mishandling occurs. Car Rides and Crates:Douglas enjoys car rides and is happy to accompany you on your travels. While he can be crated for short periods, he much prefers the freedom to roam the house and serenade you upon your return. If youre looking for a handsome, melodic, and pure-hearted companion to enrich your life, Douglas is sure to win your heart with his charm and warmth

Story
Buddy s being surrendered because his owner fell and broke her hips and is now just to strong for her. So we have been taking care of him in our home for about 3 months now. But, we just don't have the time to commit to him to make him a better dog. Buddy is 4 yrs old and is crate and house trained. He loves to snuggle up behind your legs and snuggle with you when your watching tv and is very loving. However, Buddy, does need a strong hand and some retraining. He has never been properly trained on a leash. He does get along with other animals, but I would recommend him to start off with no other dogs in the home. Buddy, gets very protective and like he doesn't want to share me with my other dog and that has caused some issues. The same with my grandkids he seems fine with them, but he was never raised with kids. So he seems nervous sometimes around them. I think with time and some training and socialization he would be fine with other dogs, cats and kids.

Story
Meet Fudge - This sweet 4 year-old male Weimaraner is a mix and we believe 90% Weim and 10% labor beagleor terrier.or spunk! This little long-tailed lovie was picked up as a stray in Ohio. He was a mess - neglected, malnourished and very thin, and flea-ridden with lots of sores on his poor body. Thankfully the Warden called GLWR as he knew the rescue would step up and give this young boy a chance at a much better life. Long-time foster Family Steph & Neil Grantz also couldnt say no and wanted to nurse this 4 year old doggie to good health and agreed to foster him. On day one they gave him the adorable name of Fudge because he was just SOOO SWEET! Fast forward two months and the improvement and progress is remarkable. Healed & healthy; Fudge is now ready to be adopted into his forever home. Fudge loves life and his foster family and everyone hes met on his journey, even the vet! Fudge KNOWS he has been rescued! He is like a brand new dog now! We cant believe that through it all, he has been so loving and so trusting! Fudge is good with other dogs as long as they like to play - so a home with a fur sibling is fine - but he can also be a single dog too. He wants to play and engage with his foster brothers - but theyre on the older side so hes not getting as much mat time as hed like! He LOVES his toys and needs tough ones that last! Fudge loves attention and affection and is a real snuggle bug. Hes hooked on sports and action movies. Fudge is an escape artist & can to squeeze through small spaces and is a jumper - so a 6 foot fence or solid tie out will be a must. Fudge could be classed as a professional counter surfer - HE will do anything to get bread & cheese! He has no anxiety in a crate and is happy to be there safe and sound because he is a chewer! If Fudge sounds like your forever friend - please fill out an app today!
