Story
What she needs: Her ideal home would be acreage for her to roam on, a home with no kids or older ones if you do have kids. She's okay with some dogs and doesn't care for others. Not sure how she determines who she likes and who she doesn't. She definitely doesn't like puppies. She loves to attach to her "person". She is a great companion. Has a cute, excitable personality when she's about to do something she loves. She stays right by me during walks or 4-wheeler rides. She smiles and smiles when you scratch her belly. She'll lay by my feet while I work all day. She loves snuggles and sleeps on my bed every night. She loves hiking, swimming, fetching a ball is a favorite, snuggling on the couch and going on adventures in the car. She's very calm in the house with your day to day activities. Her ideal home would be with someone that doesn't travel often as she does struggle with the separation anxiety. Let me know if you're interested

Story
Sweetness got her name because when she loves you she loves you with her whole heart. When I hold her she presses into me and looks up with so much love. She was rescued, along with two others, by SusieQ from a hoarding case. All three dogs from there are not dog friendly but love their people which makes me think she had to fight for everything she got. When Sweetness was rescued she was bone thin, missing most of her fur and had a damaged, infected eye. Since then she has been fully vetted, spayed and had her eye removed. I love this dog so much and only want the best for her. I would keep her for my own but with all the dogs coming and going she is getting more and more stressed. She is afraid of my husband so I think she would make a wonderful ladies companion. Sweetness uses puppy pads but will also go out with me in the fenced in yard to go potty. I have not tried leash walking her. She had a dental last week so her teeth are bright and shiny. She loves to sleep in bed with me and cuddle under the covers. With a little patience and love you will have a life long companion. Her adoption fee is $250. Please go to the website to fill out an application if you are interested in meeting her. www.susieqdogresq.com

Story
Buddy is the sweetest boy. He is an (estimated) 6 year old Lab mix. He is the happiest when he is with you and will follow you anywhere. He is hoping his new home will let him sleep with them and promises not to take up to much room!!! All he wants is love. He weighs 60 pounds even though he looks much bigger and one of his eyes is half brown and half blue. Buddy loves kids, is great with all the dogs here and is very interested in the cats, so probably a home with no feline friends. He does the cutest little tap dance while he is waiting for his food!! He will lay by your feet and be a loyal companion. His adoption fee is $250 and he has been neutered and fully vetted. Please go to the website and fill out an application if you are interested in meeting him. www.susieqdogresq.com

Story
I acquired Charlie & Bruce from a rescue place in Rochester, NY when they were 2 months old. They came to our house to bring happiness, love and companionship to my boys and my family. They are brothers and have never been separated from each other. They born on 05/18/2018 and they are very sweet, obedient, trained and loves people and other animals. I have a cat and I also had a bunny that grown up with them. Because of my husband work, we a out of the country We travel a lot, and I couldn't have time for them, and we cannot take them with us. We are heartbroken, but we expect to find a new family that can give them the love and care my family has being given to them until now. We would like to find a someone that accept both, because they are best friends and love to play together. We are willing to deliver them, and send any additional information needed.

Story
Lucy is the sweetest girl! She will snuggle you as long as you let her. She needs to run, and get her energy out. She is crate trained, and absolutely wonderful with children. Unfortunately our family dynamic has changed due to a divorce and being a single parent I cannot give this sweet dog the time and attention she needs. She will be due for a rabies shot. Her flea treatment is good until December. Please reach out with any questions.

Story
Meet Charlie! **ADOPTION FEE WAIVED** Intake date: 5/30/23 Intake type: Surrender DOB: 01/26/2021 Gender: Male Weight: 60 lbs Charlie is a sweet, wiggly, playful boy. He LOVES going for walks, but he’s also incredibly snuggly and affectionate. Charlie likes meeting new people and going on adventures where he can sniff around. Charlie would do best in a home without cats, dogs, or children due to some ongoing behavioral issues. We’re not sure what has happened in his past, as he first came to us as a stray, but Charlie has pretty bad separation anxiety. He does well at the shelter, but former adopters have had trouble with crate training and keeping him out of trouble. He is a strong dog who is very determined to be right at your side. Charlie has also developed issues with resource guarding as a result of his long stay here at the shelter. Any potential adopter would have to be committed to working with Charlie and invest their time into crate training and overcoming his anxiety. We have purchased a special crate for Charlie that will go with him upon adoption. We think the ideal home for Charlie would be one with a fenced-in yard and strong, active people who have time to help Charlie become the great dog he is inside. Charlie is up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. If you think you can give Charlie the best life possible, fill out an adoption application today!
