This sweet boy Arlo was brought in with a very bad tail injury and was rushed to the vet for immediate emergency care. Upon arrival at the emergency vet, it was clear to the medical team that his tail required amputation. Arlo had surgery that day to remove the extremely damaged tail so he could live pain-free. With routine pain medication, Arlo is now focused on healing. Despite his discomfort, Arlo enjoys resting in the shelter office with staff nearby. He can be a little shy at first but quickly warms up to you and loves gentle ear scratches and tasty treats. He is great with other dogs and walks fairly well on leash. He is not scared of bicycles or people while on walks and has met dogs big and small without issue.
