💗🐾Meet Magnus: The Heartfelt Hound in Search of HomeHey there, I'm Magnus, and I've got a tale to tell. I may be a senior pup, but don't let that fool you - I've got a twinkle in my eye and a bounce in my step, especially when there's a scent to follow or a cozy spot to curl up in. So, if you're in the market for a furry friend who's equal parts cute and spunk, and a whole lot of love to give, then look no further. I'm ready to snuggle my way into your heart. Will you be the one to give me the happily ever after I've been dreaming of? **Personality Traits:**- Magnus is an energetic Coonhound who loves nothing more than a good romp in the yard or a gofer to chase.- Magnus is picky with other dogs, and prefers two legged company. - Magnus is a smart-cookie - give him the hardest puzzles and you'll be amazed at how quickly he will solve them.**Ideal Home:**- Magnus is seeking a home where his bark & exuberance will be appreciated and celebrated.- He will shine with his very own fenced yard or acreage. - He thrives on mental and physical stimulation, so puzzle toys, interactive games, and plenty of playtime will keep him happy and engaged.https://spca.bc.ca/survey/dog-adoption-application-west-kootenay/ Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: Rust Weight: 42.6 Age: 9yrs 7mths 0wks

Story
Genie is a special needs black and tan medium Shepherd X. This pretty girl didn't grow up around people, so she's never quite gotten over her fear of them. She needs a very structured environment, as she doesn't handle a change in her routine very well. She's also an escape artist, so she’ll need a secure fenced yard. Best case scenario would be a dog door leading out to fenced area, as she will not tolerate a leash of any kind. We’re looking for someone who has had experience with rescue dogs. When she trusts you, she’ll be happy to hang with you and even likes to be petted. She’s comfortable with dogs. If you think you’re the one that can help Genie become the dog that we all know she can be, please give us a call. We’ll also consider a long term foster with someone who is willing to work with her. The PAWS dog volunteers have done an amazing job helping her see that people aren’t as scary as her life experience has taught her. However, this quiet girl deserves to know what it’s like to know that someone is there for her. She’s worth your effort!! Give PAWS a call to meet her.

Story
Hi, I’m Billy. I’ve been at the shelter since January. I was starting to feel a little down after 4 months, so PAWS found me a foster home. It’s been so much better being back in a home environment, but I know it’s not my forever home. This is what my foster mom wants you to know about me. As I’m a Border Collie X, as expected I’m very smart, I listen well, and I’m eager to please. I’m also a real people person. While I live with cats, I’d prefer to be the only pet. I love car rides and the a/c, but not windows (I know, a bit of a challenge in a car!). I love, love, love to play, especially fetch! I get lonely when I’m home alone, so I’m happy for the comfort of my crate during my alone times. What am I working on? Well, I’m fine-tuning my leash training and working on not jumping on humans of any size when I get excited. I can be protective but am easily redirected if you call my name. Because I have a high prey drive at times, I MUST always wear a muzzle in public. I’m okay with that – it makes me feel safe and secure. I’d love a home with a family that can keep me active and mentally stimulated. I know that home is out there. My foster mom tells me all the time that I’m an amazing dog and deserve a forever home!
