Story
Meet handsome Sparky! This sweet boy came to us since unfortunately his previous owner could not handle his energy and did not have the space for him. Sparky is a very active and high-energy boy who would love nothing more than to join you on walks and adventures! He is very smart and enjoys anything that stimulates his mind, like puzzle feeders and interactive toys. He is very food motivated and willing to learn, so he really enjoys his Positive Reinforcement based training!!Sparky can be quite exuberant with people and other dogs, and is learning not to jump up and be mouthy when excited! He hopes for owners who understand his breeds and his needs, and offer him a stable home with time to dedicate. He is a bit under exposed to other pups, so finds them very exciting and gets frustrated not being able to go say hello, especially on leash, and other dogs can find this a bit overwhelming. He tends to get vocal and upset, and will need assurance in these moments. He is very food motivated, so with lots of positive reinforcement he could learn and thrive! Sparky has separation anxiety and will need a home with a secure yard with taller fences, as he can amazingly climb and scale the fences and gates to try to find his people! He is a very sweet and goofy boy with so much potential, he just needs a home where he can be himself! If you are interested in adopting Sparky, please send in an application!https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/dog-pre-adoption-questionnaire/ Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 39.1 Age: 1yrs 11mths 4wks

Story
Peach, and her sister Rosie, are looking for a home together! These lovely ladies spend their time snuggled up together and often give each other kisses. The two of them are quite ridiculous when vying for attention; crawling over and stepping on each other, rolling over to show their bellies. We are still getting to know these house hippos! They had lived on the same property their whole lives, so much of what they are experiencing is new and can be scary. Rosie seems to be the leader, she is a little more outgoing than Peach and will put herself between Peach and scary things. These two are doing great meeting new people, they can easily be won over with some tasty treats and belly rubs! They are getting regular baths and don't mind being lifted in and out of the tub. The girls visted the vet and made sure everyone knew how goofy their personalities are! They require weekly baths while their dry skin improves and both are reccommended to lose 5-10kg but are otherwise healthy. If you require minimal personal space, please follow the steps below to apply for Peach and Rosie! Primary Color: Black Weight: 21.5 Age: 5yrs 0mths 1wks

Story
Meet Nala! This sweet girl is a little nervous and hoping for a gentle hand to guide her into a life of confidence and fun!! She is very motivated by snacks and gentle words, she is going to be such a fun dog for her new people! She just asks you for understanding and patience while she learns her new world! So far, Nala seems to really enjoy her yard time, and has been used to having a lot of outdoor access in the past! Toys are a bit new and weird, but she has been getting really excited to play with her human friends and can't wait to learn how fun playtime can be.She loves sniffing new spots and will enjoy adventures and fun with her people! Leaving home can be a bit scary still, so lots of Positive Reinforcement while she learns that its OKAY will be a must! Picking her up or excessive handling is a bit much for this girl, so she appreciates an approach on her terms and will need you to help her on her journey.Nala has previously lived with other canines and would be open to having more doggy siblings in her future, but likes her boundaries respected and would appreciate someone who understands she hasn't had the easiest go so far!If you'd like to learn more, apply below!! :) Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 24.3 Age: 6yrs 4mths 1wks

Story
This adorable young gent is Cash!! He is super respectful of people and has a good foundation on basic training. Cash is gentle with his human friends, very attentive to his commands as his focus is on you and willing to please. He is still in the goofy stage of growing up and sometimes has some silly antics. Even when Cash gets excited, he is quick to settle down once he has been asked. Cash has lived with another dog and they get along great. His previous owner was very good at getting him out in the public to meet people and other friends. For the most part, he is good with other dogs but there are some that he can be reactive to and some he can be wary of. We are confident that with proper introductions, some additional training under his chin, and consistent routines that he will be an amazing all-around dog. Cash is super gentle when it comes mealtimes, he will patiently wait until he his food has been set down for him. He is food motivated but also very gentle when taking treats from you. Cash is a big, strong boy and is learning to walk on leash without pulling. As we learn more about Cash, we will update is profile. In the meantime, we are happy to have a conversation with you and answer all the questions you may have. If you are interested in meeting Cash, please send in an application online or stop by our location during open hours Tuesday-Saturday 12-4 pm Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: White Weight: 32.9 Age: 0yrs 8mths 2wks

Story
Carlos is ready to find his new furever home. Carlos is a fun, loving, energetic guy for his age! He LOVES all toys, he enjoys playing tug, oh and he loves his puzzle toys, but of course he does because food is his number 1 favourite. Carlos does love squishy toys, but he will DESTROY them instantly, so if there are squishy toys, Carlos will need to be supervised. He also really enjoys going for walks with his people, he is usually on his best behaviour, but sometimes when he see's something, he feels he may need to chase it to investigate. This guy is on a strict hypo diet as he suffers from allergies, which causes him to lose some hair. Carlos is also on medication for his allergies, but we are hoping one day that we can get him to a very low dose or stop completely. He can be selective with his doggy friends, we recommend for him to be the only dog in his new home. Not suited for a home with cats.If you are interested in Carlos, the first step is the application, or call our branch for more details.
