Story
This is Chester, 3-year old purebred German Shepherd male. He is neutered and up to date with all shots. Highly trainable with zero health related issues; his hips were x-rayed at a very young age and showed no sign of dysplasia. Chester is quirky and weird. He is often sensitive and shy but has no problems being out in public/social settings with a handler that he trusts and respects. He does not like everyone and he often feels triggered around new people and new settings. On the other side of his introvert character is an intelligent, athletic, and resolutely persistent dog. He enjoys just about everything from playing fetch to exploring hiking trails with the people he loves. Chester needs an experienced handler and/or handlers who can provide upward of 3 hours everyday to care for him and stimulate him mentally/physically. This is a dog for someone who is capable of providing and enforcing rules, routines, and structure consistently on a daily basis.

Story
My names Angela. I came in as a stray. I’m 3 years old and 42 pounds. I was emaciated and had some weight to gain before I became available for adoption. Someone found me and held me for three days and then called the shelter to pick me up. When I was first picked up by the officer, I was so thirsty and dehydrated that I was dragging him to water puddles outside to get a drink. The shelter staff has not witnessed any resource guarding of food and water around people or other animals, but wants to bring awareness to my condition when I entered the shelter. I am still learning that food and water is an available resource. I would benefit from my adopter using a slow feeder bowl. I love cuddles. I lay on the floor and love to just chew on bones, tennis balls and bark box toys. I know how to keep myself busy, but I do enjoy your company. I’m doing good with potty training. I have been in a few play groups at the shelter and have done well with other dogs. I walk well on a leash, and I know how to sit. I am working on other basic commands. I have been around dogs as small as 10 pounds. I will absolutely curl up in a ball in your lap and love every second of it. I am the happiest girl now and want nothing more than to be loved and by your side. I’m just a little house hippo searching for my forever home.

I need to get out and find a family of my own so another dog can have my kennel. You won’t be just helping me, you’ll be helping the next dog. I know sit, and lay down. I love treats. I enjoy going for walks in the park. I’m doing well with potty training.

Story
What a better way to start a post, with a dog named Snow for the first snowfall. I came in to the shelter running loose. My owner stated he could not reclaim me. I was found running in the park, with another dog. My real name is Snow and I do know it very well. I get along with dogs, but I do not like to share my space with cats. I love to roll on my back for belly rubs. I would do best with older children. I do like to jump up and give hugs. I like to lay and play in the mud (hence my face). I am a big fan of dog treats. I am crate trained, and I am doing well with potty training.

Story
Hi, I was a little stray guy that came in to the shelter. Every one here loves me. I’m a sweet little fella. No one ever came in to reclaim me. I know how to sit. I am pretty good on a leash. I keep my kennel clean if let out regularly. I love to play with toys. I like to cuddle with my human and get back rubs. I am friendly with new people and I have a moderate energy level.
