Story
Bavaria aka Ari is a small ball of energy with a big heart! She is smart, loyal, and loves everyone person she meets! Her favorite activities include cuddles, walks, and naps with her pup friends. Ari gets along with dogs her size and smaller. She is 42 pounds. It takes her some time to warm up to bigger dogs, but she does have a few large breed friends that she's made while with her foster family. Her foster family runs a doggie daycare and boarding service from their home and while Ari get along with most of the dogs, we think she'd be happiest in a home with only 1 or 2 other pups. Ari hasn't encountered any cats so we don’t know how she will do with feline company. She hasn’t been around kids but based on her temperament we think she would be fine around older respectful kids. Ari is fully crate trained and housebroken. She uses the doggie door and takes her meals in her crate. Ari is VERY food motivated. She'll run into her crate to let you know that she's ready to eat or if she thinks she's about to get a treat. She also LOVES the scent of her human and will bring a stray shoe or sock into her crate. Only one of each though because Ari knows sharing is caring. LOL! She won’t damage the item and will gladly relinquish it without a fight. We have noticed mild resource guarding during meal times around other dogs. Ari will growl if a dog comes close to her bowl but we think it is mostly posturing. She has been learning to relax with that now that she is fostering with several other dogs. She has never demonstrated any sort of resource guarding with people. Video of her manners. https://youtu.be/iMnENrFlSNM Ari has come a long way with leash training and with consistent walks she will continue to improve. She is manageable and does not pull as much. She does well on car rides too. What we love about her is that she will match your energy. If you are sitting around, she’ll sit with you. If you are outside on a stroll, she’ll love that too. Age: 2 years Weight: 42 lbs Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, spayed and heartworm positive but treatment is paid for and underway. Temperament: dog selective and needs slow intro, good with older respectful kids (no experience with small kids to know). Training, House trained, crate trained, knows commands Sit and Wait. https://youtube.com/shorts/1ovfrWfWztw?si=vxsM7wxgRfE6659j Email for questions: sonaligokhale@yahoo.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review.

Story
Rusty is so sweet. He is timid and shy. He is a gentle old soul that is good with other dogs and cats. He needs a calm, foster or adoptive home where he can feel safe and come out of his shell. He seems to be housebroken and he loves to go on walks. Rusty is very gentle. We are only listing him as needing a home with older children because he is timid and may be overwhelmed with young children screaming and running around. Age:4 years Weight: 65 lbs Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, neutered and heartworm negative. Temperament: good with older respectful kids, good with dogs. Training: House trained, crate trained, some basic training .

Story
Zimmer looks like a lanky British rock star in eye liner, with the prancing skills of a pony and the sparkle of unicorn! This charming prince is super dog-friendly, befriends cats and makes fur friends faster than a lightning bolt – especially if they like to play. He's kind of like a shy turtle when he first meets new people, especially guys, but give him a little bit of time to crack his shell and he's all warmed up and ready to chat! Otherwise, he's quiet in his crate, easy-to-groom, and follows commands like a pro. And leash walking? Pfft, easy peasy! He'll jump into a car and ride shotgun with you, as if he's been doing it all his life. So, it's official: Zimmer is kind of perfect. He's looking for fans, groupies, and most importantly, a forever family who will cherish him like the rock star he is! Age: 1 year Weight: 65 lbs Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, neutered and heartworm negative. Temperament: Good with people, dogs and dog-savvy cats; prefers older kids/teenagers as roommates. Training: House and crate-trained, good on leash, knows basics -- Sit, Touch, Down, Come, Off, Let it go, Go to Crate, and his Name :) For questions please email aimiablepetcare@aol.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Story
Are you ready for Ninja to stealthily steal your heart? This 7-year-old sweetheart will charm you with his curious gaze and athletic energy. Don’t let Ninja’s age fool you: his trainer would give Ninja a gold medal in the DoggOlympics since he’s so intelligent and agile. Ninja has also been training with other dogs—he gets along with other dogs (both male and female, young and old) that are around his size (he’s about 60 pounds) or bigger than him. He loves to play with toys and similar-sized dogs, and he responds well to them when they correct him. He’s neutered and up to date with doggy vaccines (rabies, etc.). His trainer recommends Ninja to a home with active lifestyles, since he enjoys walking and exploring. He may do great with a veteran. He’s also a senior (with some pep in his step), so he also appreciated a comfy couch snuggling with you while watching Netflix. Help reinforce Ninja’s amazing training & give this sweetheart a loving home in his senior years, especially this Holiday season. Please foster or adopt Ninja, chop-chop! Connect with us at: foxyNluna@gmail.com Age: 7 years Weight: 55 lbs Temperament: good with all adults, and enjoys other dogs his size or larger, not yet kid tested but should be fine with older respectful kids. Vetting: Neutered, up to date on vaccines, HW negative Training: House trained, crate trained, knows sit, down, stay/wait, his name, follow, come, look, and touch. Story
Kiya is a beautiful and affectionate Rottie mix girl. She is very cuddly and affectionate. She loves to curl up with you on the couch. For being young, she is very low energy. Her favorite thing is to lay around and just chew on one of her toys or bones. She gets along great with other dogs, but she doesn’t have much interest in playing with them, she would rather just hang out. She does like to play with her foster mom. She would be fine living with other dogs or as an only dog. She loves to chase squirrels and chipmunks and chasing tennis balls is her favorite thing to do. She also loves her squeaky toys. She’s easily entertained and very goofy. She is crate trained and house broken. She loves her crate. Her current foster crates her at night and also when she is not at home. She will bark at strangers that are outside the house, but she’s fine once they walk in the door. She loves men and women. She loves to go for walks and sniff everything. She walks well most of the time but pulls at times when she sees a squirrel or chipmunk. She does well with 2Hounds harness and would do even better with more training. She loves to sniff and finding all the new smells in the yard and in the neighborhood are one of her favorite things to do. She is obedient and listens most of the time but gets a little hard of hearing if you’re calling her and she’s sniffing out a chipmunk in the yard. She does well in a fenced yard, but if there are gaps, she will squeeze through one. She always comes back, but she needs a secure fence so that she doesn’t get out. She has shown resource guarding with her food and the other dogs in her foster home. She has growled and barked at them when they came near her food. For this reason, her foster feeds her in her kennel. Kiya is fine with this. We don’t know how she would be with resource guarding with humans, because her foster has never tried it. Her foster is able to put her food bowl in her crate and close the door with her in it at meal time. She is easily distracted when you has something she’s guarding. You can throw her tennis ball and she’ll chase it and leave what she is guarding. She takes treats gently. Because she resource guards, we are not going to place her in a home with small children. She would do wonderfully in a home with adults and teens. She loves people. She is the perfect low-key dog. Age: 1.5 years Weight: 55 lbs Vetting: Up-to-date on vaccines, spayed and heartworm negative and up to date on vaccines Temperament: good with bigger kids and other dogs but must feed separately. Training: House trained, crate trained.
