Story
My mom and dad moved in with us at the about 18 months ago. My mom had end stage COPD and has since passed away. My dad has Alzheimer’s and is now in Hopsice care but is getting worse daily requiring more hands on care. We have two dogs and 3 cats and just cannot continue to take care of Harley. He is a very sweet dog, needs someone who can spend time with him and let him sit with him. We know he is at least 8 years old and we do not know when he was last vetted (we think right before he came to live with us - although we have continued his flea/tick and monthly heartworm medications).

Story
We are very sad to need to rehome Harley. He belongs to my parents. My parents moved in with us 18 months ago, both requiring Hospice care. My mother with end stage COPD and my father with Alzheimer’s. My mother had since passed and my father’s mental and physical health continues to deteriorate and he is now needing around the clock care and supervision. Harley is a very loving dog and has lived with dogs and cats. He does bark when people arrive but quiets quickly once acknowledged. He would do well in a home of a retired (or work from home person) who can spend time with him (and he loves to just sit with his person). He loves to ride in the car too! It has been more than a year since he had been to the vet but he has continued taking his monthly flea/tick and heart worm medications.

Remy

American Staffordshire Terrier

Bahama, NC
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Remy's personality is extremely loving and gentle with adults and children. He is a lazy lounger, loves to snuggle and he needs a loving home to share his abounding love. He is loyal and will follow commands. He needs to be an only dog since he prefers his humans to other canines and does not like cats. Remy belonged to my father who has passed away. Since he struggled with mobility issues and was not capable of walking Remy regularly, Remy gained some weight but is now on weight reducing food and has lost a few pounds. He is house trained and up to date on vaccinations. We would love to find someone in the area who can give Remy the home he deserves and we would be willing to help financially for his needs in the right home.

A friend gifted this dog to my daughter, she is 4 years old. In this new home we need her to have a lot of space to run around freely. Merida is very energetic, comforting, fast learner, she likes to be alone. She doesn't like to be around other dogs at all.
