Story
We rescued Sadie as a puppy. We were told she was a basset hound mix. She is some sort of terrier/hound dog mix. She has the terrier beard and grinchy paws, but long hound dog ears. She is 4 years old. Sadie is friendly once she gets to know you, but definitely shy with new people. She is more timid with men vs women. She enjoys lounging on the dog bed, bed and couch. She is very laid back, but does enjoy walks and would love land to run around on or someone with a large backyard. She does not enjoy the company of cats, but does well with other non dominant dogs. Sadie is very food dominant and will resource guard. She is crate trained due to our current situation, but does well out of a crate when alone.

Story
Sundae is a loveable 14 year old dog. She loves to play with her toys, go on walks, and sleep. She is pretty mellow in her old age. Because of her age, she does have urinary incontinence that will need to be managed. She currently wears a diaper. It is potentially an issue with her kidneys causing the urinary incontinence where further testing would be needed.

Meet Boss! Boss is a bundle of energy and joy who is ready to bring excitement and love to your life! This playful little guy loves to run, chase toys, and show off his big personality. He’s the perfect size for adventure and would make a fantastic addition to an active family. Here’s what we know about Boss:- During a Dog Day Out, he hiked at Shallow Ford, played at the park, and charmed everyone he met.- He’s happy, affectionate, and loves staying engaged with his humans.- Boss enjoys tug-of-war, knows commands like `sit` and `stay` (especially when treats are involved!), and rides well in the car.- He’s good with other dogs and loves meeting new people. While Boss hasn’t been tested with cats or children, his playful and social nature makes him an exciting companion for anyone who can match his energy! Are you ready to bring this adventure-loving pup home? Come meet Boss today—he’s ready to be your new best friend!**My adoption fee has been sponsored**

Story
Volunteer notes on Nona:Do you need a daily dose of sunshine to warm your heart? Beat the heat and adopt Nona instead! This 2-year-old ebony princess is sweet, trusting and loving to her very core. When we are together her main goal is to get as close as possible and solicit my affection. Her positive energy is contagious, like a rush of endorphins that rejuvenate and revitalize my spirit. All is ok in my world once Nona offers her kisses. I have no doubt this mama gave her multiple litters of pups her absolute best. I could sit and revel in Nona’s company forever, but it wouldn’t be fair of me not to share her with the world.

Story
This sweet face with the big brown eyes belongs to Waffles, a roughly 6 year old boy who somehow found himself lost. He showed up at a nice person`s house who told us he was very friendly, so she tried to keep him. Waffles did fine with her dog, the cows, and the horses, but her dog decided he didn`t want Waffles to move in. Waffles clearly had an owner as he also seems to know the `sit` and `stay` commands. Wouldn`t you like to have this sweet boy`s handsome face to look at every day?A volunteer told us, `Waffles is ready to enjoy his golden years in a loving home. He is friendly, outgoing, and easy to interact with. He is treat motivated and will sit for treats. He is also good on leash, making him an ideal companion for walks.`Foster notes:Waffles is very independent and sweet. He prefers to be outside. He likes to go on hikes with me and my 2 dogs. He gets along with my dogs and cats, but prefers to be alone I think. He has gotten along with all the people he has met. All adults, both male and female. He has gotten along with the 3 other dogs he’s met, all male, small and large. He is housetrained and has had no accidents in the house. He was in crate for first night and did well. We let him stay out after that. He’s not at all destructive, not a chewer. I don’t leave him out alone with my 2 dogs and 3 cats just to be safe. He resource guards, but only with the other animals. He has nipped at my cat, but was corrected right away and hasn’t done it since. He’s a very fast learner and takes correction well. He really is a nice dog! So smart and so trainable.
