Desperate to find a good home for this sweet dog. Gracie is a 7 year old BordercollieLab. She walks on a leash best with a harness and knows basic commands. She is crate trained and used to being indoors most of the time. She does not interact safely with other dogs. She loves to run and play and will need ample outdoor time for exercise. She eats a non grain diet (salmon and potatoe). Gracie would love to be with a person who has time to spend with her.

Story
Gracie Lou is need of a forever home, Gracie’s rambunctious spirit and large size means she needs lots of space. She is great with older kids and adults. She does get super excited about new people and does jump sometimes but loves to play keep away and fetch, loves snacks and chews. She hasn’t been around a lot of other dogs but the ones she’s been around, she was fine, she likes cats but is very enthusiastic and tends to invade their space. She is a large breed dog (Akbash and Pyrenees) She is still growing, she’s currently 80-90lbs. She needs loving patient owners with a fenced yard. Shes 18 months old and will be 2 years this May. We want to find her a good loving home as we all love her very much, please research the breeds if you’re not familiar. She isn’t spayed but up to date on shots. She doesn’t have the best recall which is why a fenced yard is a must.

Story
Meet Monty! Monty is a resilient pup with a heart full of love, despite a tough start to life. At just 12 weeks old, he was found abandoned and pepper-sprayed, leaving him with some vision issues. Monty loves to play with other dogs but can be a bit much for older, senior dogs. He’s not suited for homes with cats but thrives in a home with a securely fenced yard. Monty needs an owner with the time and patience to give him extra training. He communicates using his mouth, which can improve with guidance. Currently in a foster home with five other dogs, Monty isn’t getting the individual attention he deserves. He’s house-trained, kennel-trained, and will let you know when he needs to go out by barking or whining. Monty is ready to blossom in a home where he can be the center of attention. If you’re looking for a loyal and energetic companion, Monty is your guy!

Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Ms Lulu is quite the character! She is happy and funny and Loves to run and run. When she stops, she stops! She took over the house and yard the first day protecting and keeping all threats away from the fence. She is a snuggler and will sit on the couch and sleep in the big person bed or an open crate. She does prowl and protect through the night. She is house trained and uses a doggy door. Lulu is okay with small dogs but maybe no dog under 20lbs until proper intros are made - otherwise male or female dogs are fine. No idea about cats. She is a cattle dog and seems as if she may have been trained to herd beyond what comes natural? She got out of the gate once and was fine with the goat and chickens. Cattle and horses would be safe. She is an active working dog who would love an active lifestyle if you can provide it. She loves the water too. She will herd children by nipping on their heels so maybe a bit older children who understand that's just what her breed does and won't cry. She does pretty well on a leash, rides in the car like a pro, loves puppies because she was a mom a time or two. Her tongue hangs out and her jaw is a bit off (maybe birth defect or an injury) but it does not affect her appetite! She is spayed, HW negative and up to date on shots. Lulu is a really sweet dog and wants a home of her own. please apply at www.krrtx.org/forms Please note Lulu is located in San Antonio, TX and is available for transport to your location through Your Tx Rescue Connection transport service. The fee includes adoption fee and transportation fee.

Story
Meet Mr Bruce. This young man didn't have a home so he went into Lowes to buy some lumber to build a house. Once inside he realized he didn't have truck to haul his lumber, or money to buy it for that matter, so he found a dog loving rescuer to follow around and convinced her to help him with his home situation. At 10 months old this young man knows the way to a woman's heart! He is kind of leash trained and prefers to hold it himself or play tug with you while walking. He uses the doggy door and sits for his meals and treats. He is neutered, up to date on shots and is looking for a warm house and loving family. He has gotten along with the rescue dogs he has met but is a bit too rambunctious for the senior pack so probably no small children either. He absolutely loves to play in the water. He will play invisible too and wait for you so he can pounce! He is mouthy and playful and needs someone with experience to train him. He would be fantastic at agility. He is very eager to learn and please. Please share to get this love a home or apply to adopt him at www.krrtx.org/forms Please note Bruce is in Texas. KRR uses Your Texas Rescue Connection Transport services to get him to you. Adoption fee is $180 and transport is $200 Thank you

(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details

Story
Schooner wandered onto the rescue property early this year. He got along fine with the ranch dogs and made himself at home. He was shy at first until he knew he was safe. Schooner is a lover. Just sweet as he can be. And he loves to run! And run! And run! He is absolutely gorgeous all stretched out in a full run around the property. Unfortunately he lost that privilege when he started killing the resident chickens! So no chickens or small to medium farm animals. It is simply husky nature to hunt so he's just doing what is natural. He does so so on a leash. Rides great in a car. Gives hugs. He is eager to please and would love a home and family of his own who will teach him all the good stuff about being a family. Apply at www.krrtx.org/forms Please note all dogs are located in San Antonio, TX. We advertise out of state due to the critical pet overpopulation problem here in the south. We use Your Texas Rescue Connection to transport the dogs to your area. They are all up to date and come with a health certificate. The fee is $180 adoption and $200 transportation = $380. Thank you for considering adopting a southern dog.
