Story
Meet JadeJade came to the BC SPCA Kelowna with an extreme tail injury. In her previous home, Jade would suck and chew on her tail due to anxiety - leading to the hair and skin to come off from half of her tail. She was taken to the Vet where it was decided that it would be best to remove her tail because of the the long and painful healing process that would be needed for her to keep it. Jade was never exposed to other animals and was kept on a long leash in her backyard for most of her two years of life. With this, she is looking for an experienced owner with no other animals who will help her with her high energy and anxiety.Jade is a loving sweet girl that deserves a happy ending with a family who will love her and take her on all of life's adventures. If you love the German Shepherd breed and Jade sounds like she could be a match for your family, please apply through the link below! She just loves people and would make a loyal companion.https://spca.bc.ca/survey/dog-adoption-application-kelowna/The Centre is open Tuesday - Saturday Noon to 4 pm (except for Stat Holidays) Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 33.2 Age: 2yrs 0mths 1wks

Story
Meet Cricket:First off, Cricket is quite a bit smaller then her photo indicates. Cricket was transferred from a BC SPCA Shelter up north due to their overcrowding situation. She has not been here long, but we've quickly discovered she is a very loving and playful girl who loves to snuggle and follow you around. Cricket would likely make a great family company who shines with her people. Cricket will need a secure yard because, be aware, she can climb a 6 foot fence. She does walk well on a leash and would make a wonderful walking/adventure buddy. This is one cricket you'll want in your yard. She loves playing in our backyard with other canine friends, but she wants her own backyard and her own family with perhaps another canine. What a great combination that would be.If you think this energetic and loving canine would fit into your home, please complete an online application on our website at:https://spca.bc.ca/survey/dog-adoption-application-kelowna/The Centre is open Tuesday - Saturday Noon to 4 pm (except for Stat Holidays)Because Cricket still needs to be spayed, she will be a "foster-to-adopt" until her surgery and subsequent recovery.
