Story
Frankie just turned two on July 4th, 2024, he is very goofy and still needs training. I’m not 100% sure if he’s purebred. It is with heavy heart that I have to rehome him. I refuse to put him in a shelter so i’m trying out my options first. He is an amazing dog, he is very energetic as german shepherds are, but he can also be loving. He has a barking issue that needs work on (in his mind he’s just being a good guard dog.) walking him is a slight struggle, still needs a lot of work. He gets along with his brother (a small shiba) just fine but when my father moved in and brought our family dog of probably 10 years or so he wouldn’t get along with her. We’ve been having to keep her downstairs with my father whilst Frankie is upstairs. No clue why they won’t get along, it’s been about 3 weeks of slowly introducing them and nothings worked. He’s great with his brother AND at dog parks though.

Story
Max is a 6 year old we rescued from the Humane Society 7 months ago. He's very affectionate and very active. His favorite activity is running. We have an underground e-fence that keeps him in the yard and off the road. However, he doesn't travel in our camper well because he doesn't get to run enough. While he walks on a leash well at home, as soon as we go to a campground, he wants to inspect every smell forgetting that he was ever trained on a leash. He pulls and zigzags constantly and because we are older, he's difficult for us to control. He gets defensive against other dogs walking and will sometimes growl at people till he gets to know them. He's never snarled or snapped. He needs a home where he can run within a perimeter, or somewhere he can run free; he has always come back when he has gotten away from us, but usually won't respond to being called back - he thinks it's fun to show off his freedom. He's a sweetheart and except for the traveling, is a great dog.
