Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello! I'm Boerne (Bernie), I'm a nice, handsome fella looking for my furever people! I love my stuffies, but I'd rather not share them, unless I'm playing tug with my people!  I am learning to "leave it" so you can throw it for me too! I enjoy carrying them around with me wherever I go, but will drop them for a back scratchin', hugs, or to chase my bubbles! I LOVE bubbles!! I can get a lot of exercise just chasing them!  I also love care rides and pup cups.  I don't even mind a bath.  I'm pretty easy to please, honestly.  I'm a handsome distinguished gentlemen at around 6 to 7 years old (that's what the vet thinks but I have the energy of a younger man) My foster mama always brags about my excellent listening skills.  I'm great off leash at my country foster home, but will also do well on a walk with a leash.  I know many commands and will even politely shake your hand. I was in a foster home with other dogs, but I wanted to be the KING of the house.  Therefore, I will do best with a home where I am the MAN....like, the only man, dog, critter.  I will reward you with all of my love and affection for the rest of my life! So, if you are looking someone to be your best buddy....I'm your guy.  Apply for Boerne today...you will not be disappointed! He is truly a great pup!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 30, 2024, 7:57 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Punky has settled in with her foster family and enjoys the other dogs snd the cat. She has been great with her foster mom but prefers the human child and lights up with Boxer wiggles whenever he walks into the room. She also seems to favor men. This sweet girl ended up in a good samaritan's backyard while their fence was being repaired. She disappeared after they fed her and then somehow showed up again after the fence had been repaired. May have been fate, or just an open gate, but the husband reported having seen her roaming the neighborhood a couple months prior to her finding her way into their yard.  They reached out to HBR and here she is now living the good life. Punky is pint size wtih long legs. She has the sweetest demeanor and has made herself one of the pack in the home. There are two big, senior dogs who have taken her under their wings and are quite fond of her.  She also got a new foster brother a couple of weeks ago and he looks like her twin. The tip of her tongue sometimes sticks out in the cutest way and she has kinda claimed the big dog bed as hers, but happily shares it with the other pups. Lol. She seems to be potty trained and has only had two accidents. Her foster family is working on walking on lead as she is still scared, and understandably so as it's rough having been on her own at such a young age. She loves raw hides and toys and often prances around the house with them. Punky also learned 'sit' quickly and is treat motivated. She will be a great addition to any family as she is such a sweet and loving pup. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 7, 2025, 12:50 am

Gumby is such a sweet and affectionate boy, he is so playful and has such a big heart! He’s very friendly and a happy-go-lucky king of guy who loves to spend his days lounging on the couch and going on adventures. He’s such a smart and curious pup who loves to explore and check out new sounds and smells. He loves playing with other dogs and is VERY submissive. Gumby would make a great family companion or anyone looking for a loyal and loving furry friend! He is fully vaccinated and neutered and does wonderful in a kennel. He is also potty trained and great on a leash! We cannot wait for his forever home! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 If you’re interested in this perfect boy please feel free to call West Alabama Animal Clinic at 713-528-0818 and ask for Lindsay or Briana!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 22, 2024, 2:58 pm
