Story
Ayo is a handsome large dog that is Embark tested and came back as a German Shepherd Alaskan Malamute mix. He arrived to the Mission from Carbon County Animal Services in Utah when he was past his euthanasia date for lack of space. He is approximately 75lbs and has an estimated birthdate of 01/02/2021.  Ayo is seeking the atypical adopter that may not be suitable to the average dog. He is very much a one person/one family dog, and thrives while riding in the car, so his ideal adopter could be a trucker, van lifer/traveler, rural homebody that may not like to go out often etc. He wants a simple life with a reliable person, and if they want to take him to the lake to go swimming on a regular basis, then life couldn't get any sweeter.  He has learned sit, how to wait at a doorway, loves to go for car rides, aced many amazing adventures into the great outdoors, and has become a great snuggle buddy and showering assistant, carefully licking the water drops off of his person's legs. He also loves to be groomed and took the entire process in stride like an old pro, even leaning into the force dryer to get a better feel of the warm stream of air. Ayo has not been able to acclimate to other animals in a consistent and safe manner, so while he's still very easy to take for walks and other outings in the midst of other animals, it will be the safest option for him to be the only animal in the home. He is also very over aroused around small children, so a home with teens and up would be ideal.  Ayo's best feature is that he loves playing ball, and he's so eager to fetch that it's by and large the simplest path to teach him. Ayo also has a nice willing personality naturally which will help him learn new skills and trust more environments and people without shutting down.  To see Ayo's complete Embark profile, click here:  http://embk.me/ayo8?utm_campaign=cns_ref_dog_pub_profile&utm_medium=other&utm_source=embark Ayo comes neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. His adoption fee is $200 and includes his leash, martingale collar, herm sprenger prong collar, ID tag, food sample and paperwork. To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application.  Thank you for checking out our boy!  ##1472725##

Story
Chase is a unique and loyal ChiBull mutt of some sort with an estimated birthdate of 12/13/2022. He came to the Mission during a medical crisis in which his family had run out of funds and options to care for him. If it's a disaster, it's probably happened to poor Chase in his first 10 months of life. He has had his leg broken, suffers from a neurological wobble of unknown origin, and barely scraped by when we received him and treated him for a very severe respiratory infection and pneumonia. Chase is also extremely unsocialized, having clearly missed the mark on experiencing the world through positive and predictable interactions with the stimulus around him and he can be very fearful when encountering new things.  Chase will be the kind of dog who needs a dedicated adopter who is not a push over and can set a clear path to success for him when it comes to socializing. There should be very little tolerance for reactivity and disproportionate responses to things that are not worth being afraid of, and there should be ample praise and reward for calmness and reasonable responses to the sights and sounds of the world.  Chase has been with the Mission for well over a year, and he's predictably wobbly with a yearning in his funky little heart for a home with one or two people, no other dogs, and no special expectations other than just hanging out and taking naps. Chase doesn't need to go everywhere and do everything. He can, and frankly wants to just be present at home and when company visits, he would prefer to go in his crate and be left out of the action. He's a man of simple means.  Chase comes neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. His adoption fee is $200 and includes a sample of the food he's been eating, a leash, collar, and ID tag. To be considered to adopt Chase, please visit www.murcismission.org and send in an application.  Thank you for checking out our boy! ##1824775##

Story
Dopey is an adorable and vivacious American Pit Bull Terrier mix with an Embark estimated birthdate of 09/23/2023. He is a beautiful blue brindle and white pattern. He was originally found stray by a local community member who did her due diligence in searching for his owners, but no one came forward and now he's on the hunt for a new home.  Dopey is highly athletic dog who will be able to accomplish any goal with a dedicated and competent handler. He would love to be involved in basic dog sports like disc, fastCAT, or potentially bikejorn etc, but he would also be happy to just spend time with an active person who walks and hikes regularly. Dopey is friendly to dogs but can be over the top and needs to work on his greeting skills so he's not overwhelming to the other dogs. He is good with cats and small breed dogs although needs reminders not to be obnoxious. He can be easily verbally corrected or shot with a spray bottle if he's not using his brain cells to full capacity.  Dopey loves all people he meets and he's great with kids. He is crate trained, excellent on lead with his prong collar, good on and off lead while hiking, loves car rides, and is great at running along side the mountain bike.  Dopey's adoption fee is $200 and includes his leash, collar, ID tag, food sample, and apoquel. He comes neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application.  Thank you for checking out our boy!  ##2075821##

Astraya is an adorable and playful German Shepherd mix with an estimated birthdate of 10/30/2021. She came to Murci's Mission from our partners at SCRAPS.  Astraya knows basic commands and is leash trained, crate trained, and potty trained. She is social with adults and children. She loves playing with other dogs and would be a great companion for another dog. Astraya's ideal family would be one that was at least moderately active and willing to include her in life's adventures. She would do best in a home without cats. She has on and off lead hiking experience and is a great mountain biking companion.  Astraya comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. Story
Can we get a drum roll please? Introducing Lilith the Wonder Dog who successfully defended her foster parent's car from burglary on her very first evening with Murci's Mission.  Now that's what we call a BFF in the making.  Lilith is a beautiful, biddable and athletic German Shepherd mix with an estimated borthdate of 12/04/2023. She came to Murci's Mission from SCRAPS after she was found stray and sick with giardia but has since been treated and is ready for her next chapter in life.  Lilith is being fostered at Pawsitive Canine Academy where she's learning additional life skills. She is friendly to people of all ages as well as dogs, and she is not yet cat tested. Her one flaw thus far is that she's able to escape 6' fences, so she's not eligible to be left outdoors unattended.  Lilith has all the makings of a once in a lifetime dog who is ready to walk with her person through thick and thin. When someone imagines going into an animal shelter and adopting an absolute ride or die John Wick style shepherd and living like Bonnie and Clyde, this is the dog they're looking for.  Lilith comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed.  Her adoption fee is $200 and includes her leash, collar, ID tag, food sample, and medical records.  To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application.
