Meet Katie, the 11 month old Chihuahua mix, weighing approximately 16 pounds and ready to find her perfect family. ♥️ This precious girl may have had a tough past but her future is nothing but sunshine 🌞 and rainbows 🌈 and that's where you come in. ☺️ Katie loves being around other dogs and would do best in a home with another furry friend to hang out with. She's great with cats and just wants to be friends. In fact, Katie's submissive personality lets her put it all out there in the hopes the cat will accept her invitation for friendship. 😂 Katie is a pretty shy gal and would do best in a home with no young children or very dog savvy older children. Even though Katie does not like to be picked up, she is learning that laps are made for laying on and getting some serious love. 😍 Walking on leash is a work in progress and Katie is working hard at understanding that walks = adventures. Potty training is going really well too....she is learning to ask to go outside and she's also pee pad trained. Katie isn't a fan of her crate and likes to be out with her doggy friends whenever she can. Katie loves to run and you can often find her running laps in the yard, especially when she's playing with a doggy friend. Tug-of-war is one of her favourite games and chewing on pine cones, bones and stuffies are a close second! Katie's puppy dog eyes activate when she's sitting at your feet and looking up at you with love. 🥹 Be prepared to give her whatever she wants because you won't be able to say no. Are you a foodie? If so, Katie may be your girl....she loves food and happens to think everything is for her. 😋 Drinking out of water fountains is much preferred over the plain water bowl....she appreciates freshness. 😉 Katie has come a long way and you can tell because she loves to lay on the sofa and is quickly learning the joy of snuggles and cuddles. 👂 Meet Chuck or Chuckie! An EARresistible 1-year-old Chihuahua looking for love. While a red-headed knife-wielding character may come to mind, we ask you to imagine a snuggly blonde cutie who will leap into your arms for hugs and lay his head on your shoulder every time he's held. Oh, and snuggles under a blankie to sleep! 😍 A much better image we think. He is a pro on leash, very respectful and doesn't pull until he is almost home. Chuck is an excitable guy and definitely barks when he sees other dogs, but does eventually calm down. While he is a little guy, he loves his space and prefers to roam; he is definitely not a fan of a kennel. 📢 While he does currently stay in a crate when his foster parents aren't home, he protests this loudly and takes awhile to calm down. Chuck is potty trained and always goes outside. He does not yet indicate when he needs to go, but has no accidents when let out regularly. 🚽 He can certainly keep a good pace on walks, but is otherwise happy to be fairly lazy at home. 🍕 Chuck loves to chow down on all chewables, he'll even snatch the rabbit's lettuce! He loves squeaky toys, peanut butter Kongs and snuggling next to you on the couch. He's a quick study and has already mastered ‘sit' and ‘outside'. ❗ Of note: He does need to work on barking too much indoors. He has not yet been tested with children.

He happily trots beside you, taking in the sights and sounds of the neighborhood. At bedtime, Gideon is a model pup – he settles into his crate without a fuss and sleeps soundly through the night. He's even known to retreat to his crate during the day for some quiet time. If so, then I AM YOUR GIRL!! My name is Calla, my nickname is "Cutie Pie". I'm a Chihuahua weighing just 8lbs & standing a mere 12" at my shoulders. I'm 11-years young with TONS of LOVE to give! I'm not a complicated lady …..I'm searching for someone special to spend my future years with. A loving, kind & gentle human(s) who will keep me safe and love me to BITS! A quiet home with no other pets b/c truly, I don't want to share my person/people. I can be okay meeting other dogs, but growl at them. I haven't been around children ~ older kids might be okay but perhaps an adult only home is best. I love being outside and enjoy going for walks. I'm well-mannered on leash. I have access to my kennel at all times and, I like it that way ( the door is always open). I have my own room at my foster's home with my kennel, dishes and even a pee pad in case of an emergency. However, as long as I'm taken out at regular intervals (every 1-2 hrs) I am Golden! I don't mind going outside to do my business, I just need my person to set a fairly frequent schedule. I don't play with toys ~ "been there, done that". I'd much rather be where you are collecting as many pets & cuddles as possible! I'm in retirement mode so I do enjoy napping throughout the day. When I'm not napping, I can be found next to you ~ hopefully, cuddling!! When I do feel a bit frisky, I can be coaxed into doing a little "doggie dance" for you which will certainly make you smile!
