Story
~ I can live in a single family home (condos considered).~ I want to live with kids over 8 years of age who are familiar with large, active dogs.~ I would enjoy sharing my home with another likeminded dog who enjoys a rough and tumble playstyle.~ I am willing to consider sharing my home with cats.~ I am a medium-high energy kind of dog and am looking for a home where I can get lots of exercise every day.~ I have a lower vocal level.~ I am a great dog with lots of potential. I may do best with a family who has owned dogs before.Lucky is a 6-year-old neutered male Retriever Mix, weighing 61.6 lbs of sweetness and untapped potential. After being surrendered by his owner of five years due to a move, Lucky is now looking for a new family to call his own. This charming, medium-high energy dog is ready to be part of a home that can give him the attention and exercise he thrives on!Lucky may be best suited for a family in a single-family home (condos considered) as he’s a bit large and active for apartment life. He’s open to sharing his space with a dog who enjoys a rough-and-tumble play style. Though he’s a little unsure of cats, he’s willing to give them a chance, so a home with a feline friend is possible with the right introduction.Lucky is a great companion who rides well in the car, is housetrained and crate trained. He’s smart and knows some basic commands like sit, down, come, and give paw, and he even helps out by sitting by the door when he needs to go outside. Lucky enjoys playing with ball toys, sticks, and more, so if you’re an active family who loves outdoor adventures, he would love to join right in.Please note that Lucky has some special medical needs but still has lots of life to live and love to give. Story
I am looking to re-home my two 3 yr old puppies Simba & Nala together. A.A.P. would not let me put up both together but would like for a donor to take them together as they have been together all of their lives. Simba (spayed) & Nala (not spayed) came to my family at 3 mos & since then we have grown as a family moved & now have a 2 year old daughter & a now 11yr old boy whom they absolutely love & adore being near. The reason for rehoming is not easy as I am very attached to my dogs & I love them so much , but I fear for their quality of life in the future with so many expenses for 2 & being out of the house more than usual. I also don’t feel as though we can keep up & not everyone is attached to them as much as I am & unfortunately will bring forth family issues in the future if I selfishly have them here. I want them to be loved, to have a fenced in yard to run in, and a family for them to love like they love us. If this fits your narrative please reach out for more.

Story
MEET HARLEY THE LOVE BUG! This sweet, big goober was surrendered to North Stonington Animal Control when his owner lost his housing. We were told Harley was twelve years old, but we think he must be younger: he has plenty of happy energy for daily walks, and when he meets other dogs, he jumps around and gives play bows and makes silly groaning noises. He clearly wants someone to romp with him! We think Harley would love to live with a doggie friend if he finds one with his same play energy. He gets a little too excited around cats, so a cat free home is best. Honestly, this handsome lug is going to be a super easy adoption for the right home. He greets strangers beautifully and takes treats gently; he likes other dogs and is respectful with kids (although older kids are a better bet because of his size). He chews on his toys and NOT on the furniture; if left home alone he will happily snooze until you return. He knows sit, paw, leave it, wait, and down, and can catch treats out of the air. He heeds correction from humans and other dogs. After a walk or a bit of play time, he happily settles down and loves to just hang out and watch TV. He's happiest being near you and he absolutely lives to get pets and scratches. Sounds too good to be true? Harley generally walks extremely well on leash, but if something really exciting happens, he may pull. Harley is a big boy at 75 pounds, so he will need someone who is comfortable with controlled leash walking. Honestly, that's all we can think of about Harley that isn't pretty much perfect! Woof!! Charly has healed from his surgery and he is excited to find a forever family to love! Charly came to CT Animal House after he was found in a basement by Animal Control. He had a ruptured salivary gland that caused him to develop a huge hanging cyst under his chin. Charly is a 1 1/2 year old neutered male that would love to live with an active family. He is a loving, energetic youngster, that loves to play with other dogs. He is learning basic obedience with his foster, and will benefit from continued training classes. Story
This is Korra. She is a sweet and gentle Pitbull. She is good with other dogs, not sure about cats. She likes them, but they don’t always like her. (mine does not) She loves kids. She is five years old and weighs about 60-65 pounds. She is truly loved by my daughter. My daughter has made a brave choice to join the Navy. She will be heading to boot camp in March and then she will be off to training for her Navy career. She will need to rehome Korra. As anyone that loves their pets as family, you know how hard this is. If anyone is interested or knows anyone that would open their heart and home to this beautiful girl, please message me. Adoption fee negotiable.

Story
APPLICATION: If this dog has stolen your heart, don't wait! Please apply online now to be considered as a potential adopter. NAME, GENDER, AGE WEIGHT & BREED DOG: MYSTIC GENDER: FEMALE DOB: 11-13-22 APPROX WEIGHT: 50 approx BREED: Plot Hound Mix LOCATION: Delhi, LA ADOPTION FEE: $450.00 (includes transport) RESCUE STORY: Every so often we come across an unfortunate situation and we are compelled to help. It is not abandonment or neglect; it is simply a loving pet owner that can no longer care for their pet. We are so happy when they reach out to us so that we may help find the pup a new, loving home instead of being turned into a shelter where, sadly, their fate is commonly not a good one. Turning in a dog is by no means easy on the human, but the dog also goes through a lot of stress and feelings of loss. They just don’t understand why they were taken from their home and their people. Mystic is going through this right now, and we are in search of new people for her, people who will be just as lucky to get her as she is them. PERSONALITY: Mystic is a beautiful Plot Hound Mix with silky brindle fur that looks like a tiger, and a delightful personality to boot! Foster mom says she is super sweet and very smart. Mystic is young and energetic and would absolutely love a young couple to hike with or a family with children to play with (we ALWAYS stress, however, that young children and dogs should never be left unsupervised for the safety of both). ABOUT THE BREED: When it comes to the personality, the Plott Hounds are confident, courageous and bright dogs. In addition to it, their kind nature attracts the attention of the people. Hounds are one of the most popular breeds in the USA because they are loyal, loving, affectionate and patient, making great family dogs. Plott Hounds will defend their owners from perceived threats. And early socialization is imperative to prevent this trait from getting out of hand. This breed is also fantastic watchdogs. Plott Hounds are incredibly brave. They were bred to hunt massive animals such as bears, so they will not back down from any person or dog no matter the size. The Hounds are known to fit perfectly into family life with its sweet, peaceful and gentle nature. These dogs are well behaved and always friendly. They are not aggressive to people and other animals. They will happily welcome your guests with a tail wag. This breed is just as happy lounging around the house. They are extremely affectionate with all the family members and have an average activity level. The Plott Hound has a curious and playful temperament. Firstly, these dogs are loyal and smart. Moreover, they love to please their people and be along with them every-time possible. Overall, the Plott Hounds are people-oriented dogs that behave very well with their family members. Though the Plott Hounds are loyal and affectionate with their people, they are somewhat wary of strangers. And they are likely to bark at them at first. But when properly introduced, they get along very quickly. Lastly, the independent and stubborn nature of them play a huge role while training. CHILDREN: Yes, the Plott Hounds have a good reputation when it comes to dealing with kids. However, these dogs are better with older children who know how to treat dogs better. And this means they are not suited for younger kids. These dogs can become very possessive of their food items. To conclude, the Plott Hounds are only recommended for families with older children. WHY THE PLOTT HOUND? The Plott Hound is a fabulous pet for dog savvy owners. The Plott Hound temperament makes it a challenging choice for beginners, but if you are an experienced guardian and you are looking for a fiercely loyal companion, the Plott Hound might be the dog for you. Mystic had a loving owner and is now in search of a new forever home to call her own. If you think Mystic might be the right addition to your family, please give her a chance. She is such a wonderful girl!
