**Meet Raquel!** 🌟 Raquel is a wonderful and gentle girl who will steal your heart with her sweet nature and loving personality! She’s especially great with children, always calm and patient around them, making her an ideal family companion. Raquel enjoys training sessions and is very treat motivated, so you can look forward to some fun and rewarding learning moments with her. She already knows how to sit and is eager to master even more skills! When it comes to outings, Raquel is a star—she’s great in public, rides well in the car, and enjoys going on car rides as part of her adventures. She’s house and crate trained, making her a well-mannered and easy-going companion at home. While she used to walk well on a leash, she has started to pull a bit in the shelter environment, though with a little time and consistency, we’re confident she’ll be back to her well-behaved self on walks! Raquel can occasionally jump up, especially when she's excited to see you, but she’s quick to settle down once she knows she’s getting attention. She does best with dogs smaller than her, as she can be a bit overwhelming with larger dogs, especially during initial greetings. She also needs a home without cats, as she’s not a fan of them. Once she’s settled in, she’ll be your loyal, loving friend. If you're looking for a gentle, well-trained pup who loves to learn, enjoys car rides, and thrives in a family environment, Raquel might just be your perfect match! Come meet this sweet girl today and see how she can brighten your life!

Story
Meet Grizzle Grizzle is a sweet Siberian Husky mix with a charming personality. He loves a slow morning of sleeping in as much as he loves a good afternoon on the boat, a car ride with his head out the window, snuggles on the couch, or learning a new trick. Personality & Behavior: Initially reserved, Grizzle has come out of his shell and is now a loving and affectionate companion. He responds well to treat-based training and has learned commands like "sit, "lay, "paw, and "off. Grizzle loves learning new tricks and being challenged. He would benefit from a family that can spend time training him. Grizzle loves adventure, whether it's hiking, a boat ride, a roadtrip, a run, or just a short afternoon walk. He is his best self when he gets to experience a sense of exploration often and would thrive with an active family who can keep him stimulated. Daily Life and Needs: Grizzle needs a secure, fenced yard because he will test the boundaries if given the chance, as most huskies do. Once he has realized there are no escape routes though, he usually settles down to enjoy basking in the sun and laying in the grass. Crate and Potty Training: Grizzle is your typical Husky, as in he likes to talk - occasionally. Grizzle will go in a crate with a treat, however, he does have crate and separation anxiety - when left alone, he tends to howl and bark. He does best when he's allowed to free roam, he is polite and generally minds his manners when we are gone. For these reasons, we think Grizzle would do best in a home with a strong fence where someone is around frequently. He's not well-suited for apartment living due to his vocal nature. Grizzle is house broken but seems to only have accidents when left in his crate, which could be anxiety induced and is why we allow him to free roam the house when we leave. Grizzle does a good job at letting us know when he needs to go to the bathroom and when he is not in a crate, he is great with not using the bathroom inside. Children and Other Animals: Grizzle has not been around children, so his behavior with them is unknown. He is good at communicating his boundaries though and based on his current demeanor, he might be best suited for a home with older children or no children at all, as he prefers not to be unexpectedly grabbed or touched. Grizzle is currently adjusting to living with goats and a cat. While he's shown a relaxed demeanor around them, he still requires careful supervision. He's curious about the cat but generally maintains a respectful distance. At this time it seems he is selective of the dogs he wants to be around - slow introductions are important to Grizzle. Grizzle is a sweet and gentle companion who is looking for a loving family that can provide him with the care and attention he needs. If you're ready to welcome a devoted friend into your home, Grizzle might be the perfect fit! To schedule a meetup with Grizzle you can text Lee at 336-298-6798

Meet Mako, a delightful mix of energy and chill, making him the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loyal and well-mannered furry friend. Mako has an easy-going personality and loves nothing more than curling up on your lap for some quality snuggle time. He's a fantastic house guest, always well-behaved—no counter surfing or excessive barking to worry about. When it comes to walks, Mako is your ideal buddy. He enjoys his daily strolls and will happily accompany you on any adventure, keeping pace and loving every moment. He’s also great in public, maintaining his calm demeanor and socializing well with people. A fan of treats, he knows how to impress with his quick sit and gentle take when it's treat time. Meet Julian! This energetic and playful guy is ready to find his forever home. At first, Julian can be a bit of a handful on the leash, as he’s eager to explore and burn off some of his energy. But once he's had the chance to get that energy out, he’s pretty good on leash, walking calmly and enjoying the stroll. Julian loves toys, especially ones that let him play and explore, and he’s always up for an adventure. Outdoors is where he truly shines! Whether it’s a walk, a run, or just discovering new places, Julian is in his element. This smart and treat-motivated dog is eager to learn, making him a fantastic candidate for training. He picks up commands quickly and enjoys the challenge of new tasks, making him both fun and rewarding to work with. When playtime is over, Julian enjoys affection and loves being around his people. He’s affectionate and friendly, always ready for a cuddle after a good play session. Julian would be a perfect fit for an active family or individual looking for a fun, eager-to-please dog. He’s sure to bring plenty of joy, excitement, and love to your life. Could you be the one to give him the home he deserves? To meet Julian or to learn more about him, please contact his foster, Austin, at 336-210-1841!

Story
Meet Dillon, the ultimate snuggle bug who’s ready to curl up with you for cozy moments of relaxation. Dillon is a laid-back, chill dog who loves nothing more than resting his head on your lap or lounging around with his favorite toy. He’s the kind of companion who will keep you company while you relax, always ready for a snuggle session. In his foster home, Dillon is so laid-back that his foster mom has to wake him up each morning for his walk and bathroom break—he's just that chill! This sweet boy is tolerant of being dressed up in sweaters and jammies, proving that he’s always up for a little fun, no matter the outfit. While he gets along well with other dogs, he’s more of a relaxed coexister than a playful pup. Dillon enjoys snuggling with his canine companions but isn’t too interested in rough play. However, he’s not a fan of cats and will chase them, so a cat-free home would be best. Dillon is very smart and well-mannered, already knowing the commands sit, shake, and down. He’s house and crate trained, and he’s good on a leash—though be prepared, he might chase squirrels if they cross his path! Due to his ability to jump a chain-link fence, he’d do best in a home with a privacy fence or where leash walks are possible. Dillon is treat-motivated and eager to learn, so he’ll be a joy to continue training with. He’s well-mannered in the home, with only the occasional counter-surfing incident, but he's easily redirected. Dillon is also a great car passenger, making him the perfect companion for any adventure you might have in mind. If you're looking for a calm, loving, and snuggly dog to add to your family, Dillon could be the one for you! As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet Dillon, text his foster mom Taylor at (336) 970-1136 to make an appointment!
