Story
Meet precious Cocoa, a 6 -1/2 pound, estimated 10 year old Yorkie girl being fostered in Laguna Hills, CA. Only southern CA applicants will be considered. My name is Cocoa, named after the cocoa bean because of my beautiful eyes. I am a sweet little older girl, I love napping in my cozy bed and being held. I get along with my foster dog siblings, I’m not sure if I like cats yet, I haven’t met one. Im not sure about toys yet, but I walk well on a leash and I have a cute skip with my left rear leg when I get going. I went to the dogtor yesterday and I weigh 6.7lbs. I have a great appetite and I love treats. I have another appointment on April 11 for a much needed dental so my sweet yorkie kisses won’t make your toes curl . I’m doing really well going potty outside and also using the potty pads inside because it’s been cold and rainy. More updates soon 🐾

Story
Juni B. is a determined goof with lots of love to give to her chosen hooman. Born in Arizona, she is 5 years old, and has been thriving in California for the last year. She lived peacefully with 2 cats in her last home, but unfortunately developed aggression issues with her elder dogmate when she turned 4 and could no longer cohabitate. She needs to be the solo dog in your home and in your heart. Despite this however, she will give you so much love and attention! She is loyal to her core. She does well at dog parks and can do walks and visits with other dogs around. Its just long-term in her home that she needs the solo treatment! She is well trained in all basic commands, house trained, and even does well off-leash on the trails! She LOVES ball time and is still very playful. Her favorite game at home is hide and seek! While she has some anxiety, she is a very smart dog, and takes to new training very well. Hoping for a local adopter. I am willing to pet sit for free if I can!

Story
Meet Louie, a handsome 6-8 year old, 12 pound Norwich Terrier boy being fostered in Laguna Hills, CA. Only Southern CA applicants will be considered. The force was with me on May the Fourth, when I was able to leave the shelter. My foster mom thinks I look a little like Chewbacca! But my name is Louie and I am a happy, young and newly neutered boy. I love toys, soft, squishy and squeaky ones. I can pounce and throw them around them all day. I do love a good walk in the neighborhood on my leash and harness and my foster mom has even convinced me to sit for a treat. I am still decompressing and I am leery of any quick hand movements by my face. I am working on my reflexes and trying to kiss instead of snip. I am going to the groomer tomorrow for my new do and the dogtor on Saturday for my wellness check! I will keep you posted

Barnie is a fun, playful guy that does not always understand how large, bulky, and heavy he is. He plays well with other dogs and is friendly, but not with toys or food. He does have resource guarding and needs supervision and more training for this. He loves going on walks, hiking or hanging out watching TV on the sofa. He is about 2-3 years old. ##962990##

Story
Say hello to this handsome fellow Scoob! This guy just can't catch a break! He's been waiting for a couple years now to find his own family. Scoob came from the streets, so we don't have much info on his background. He's a big boy and being black he gets overlooked. Scoob has really worked hard at being the best boy and facing his fears in public. He used to be extremely vocal around vehicles, motorcycles, bikes & skateboarders but he has learned there's nothing to get worked up about! He enjoys going out & meeting people. He is social with other dogs after he has had a chance to relax a bit. Scoob really wants to bond with someone. He is eager to learn but still hesitant to push his limits until he is comfortable with you. Scoob is looking for a family that likes adventures & hikes. Because he is so big & still learning things, we do not suggest small children or cats. He just needs to bond so he can be the dog we know he wants to be! He just needs someone to give him a chance. He wants his own person. Scoob is about 4 years old, neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. If you are interested in meeting or adopting Scoob, please visit our website www.lolr.org and fill out an adoption application. He's been patiently waiting for his forever family.   ##1453083##

Story
Everyone welcome Piper!  Piper is a small 3 year-old female Terrier mix who came to us pregnant and delivered 4 adorable puppies in her foster's care.  She was an amazing mama to each of her babies and stood by as they all found their perfect forever homes.  Piper is now ready to find her perfect home!  She is a sweet girl who weighs approximately 11 pounds and has a whispy salt and pepper coat and big brown eyes.  She would love to find her perfect family and will surely live in gratitude all of her days.  Piper is lovable, playful, sweet, sassy and happy little girl!  She will do best with an active individual or family that has time to spend playing with her and taking her for long walks. She gets along well with small dogs and loves all people!  Piper needs another small, playful, well-adjusted fur sibling who she can romp and play with.  She is crate and pottie trained. She has been spayed, is up to date on her vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is microchipped. If you are interested in meeting or adopting Piper, please go to www.LOLR.org and fill out an adoption application. ##1456000##
