Story
Meet Buddy! Buddy is a two-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix ( maybe mixed with Husky due to his beautiful blue and green eyes). He is the happiest boy with an incredible disposition. Buddy loves going on long walks and just loves being with his “people”. He has spent several months living with a trainer and several other dogs and has done amazing. He loves the water and other dogs. He is now in a foster with two other dogs and doing well. Once he’s in a home with a yard, he can decompress and play and let out his energy. Buddy has had extensive training and a trainer will come to the adopter's house to work with the family and show what he can do. He would do best with an active family. He was rescued from the Riverside shelter where he shared his kennel with another dog. He’s a love bug that is so deserving of his loving forever home. Buddy is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, had a blood panel and a full clean bill of health. If you think you are the right family for Buddy, please submit a completed adoption application found under the forms tab so that we can schedule a meet and greet. He can also be found on all our social media pages IG: @Doggie_Bonez_Inc_ and Facebook: Doggie Bonez. If adoption isn't an option, please consider fostering one of our pups. We are a volunteer-run non-profit dog rescue and always welcome new short and/or long-term doggie foster families. We greatly appreciate the help and time of our fosters. You provide all the love, comfort, and safety of a home and we supply you with everything else you may need, dog food, dog bed, toys, medical attention (if needed), etc. If you are interested please visit www.doggiebonez.com to see all of our available dogs who need a foster family while waiting for their fur-ever home and complete the foster application.July 12, 2024, 4:22 pm

Story
Affectionate and Loving Meet Sandy!   Sandy is a 1-year-old super-loving female pup. She wants to be friends with every big dog, little dog, and cat as long as they are okay with her. If not, she will give them their space. Sandy likes to be part of the action and is always very curious to see what everyone is doing and what everything is. You can clearly state, that she has a big case of the 'Fear Of Missing Out'. She’s calm inside the house but once in the yard, she runs her daily zoomies to provoke someone to chase her or to chase critters coming into her yard. Sandy's still learning how to be a dog so she’s working on walking on a leash because she never had a walk but learning pretty fast. She is eager to please and is happy to get positive praise and reinforcement for her good work. She’s submissive and shy at first but warms up pretty quick to everyone around her. Update 9/7/22 Sandy has been living with our trainer and has been doing great! She gets along and plays well with the other dogs and has become more comfortable meeting new people. She will have a lot of training under her belt when she goes to her forever home!   If you would like to meet sassy Sandy, please submit a completed adoption application found under the forms tab. This way, we can schedule a meet and greet. She can also be found on our social media pages IG: @Doggie_Bonez_Inc_ and Facebook: Doggie Bonez.   If adoption isn't an option, please consider fostering one of our  pups. Story
Affectionate and LovingWedge is an amazing 10-month-old with so much potential to be a great dog for any family! He does well with older children and other friendly dogs. He enjoys rough-housing with his foster sister and plays very nicely with the family's older dog.  Wedge is a snuggler and loves couch privileges while still doing very well in his crate.  His current foster family fell in love with him super fast and are absolutely heartbroken to have to let him go. He gets uncomfortable around strangers and is working with a trainer to help him gain confidence and work through whatever happened to him before he came to us. The trainer is positive that Wedge's training be successful. He just needs a home with stability and patience.  His current foster has a busy schedule and young children which aren't conducive to his need for consistency. He just needs more time to settle in, as all rescue dogs do, to feel secure, and gain confidence, and he will be an amazing addition to any Loving family! The foster family does think Wedge would do best with older kids. He loves being played with and loved on. Another dog in a secure backyard to make Wedge feel safe would also be ideal. He's an active puppy that would benefit greatly from walks.  He is best in a calmer home as he does have some fear issues so a family that has people coming and going may be too overstimulating for Wedge, Wedge needs people to be introduced to him in a way that makes him feel safe. We do encourage Wedge's adopter to provide him with structure, stability, consistency, tons of love, and continued training to set him up for success. His trainer will help Wedge's new family with 2 training sessions at no charge.   If you are interested in meeting Wedge, please submit a completed adoption application found under the forms tab. This way, we can schedule a meet and greet. He can also be found on our social media pages IG: @Doggie_Bonez_Inc_ and Facebook: Doggie Bonez.   Adoption fees for puppies under 1 year are $500, for young to adult dogs $400, and for our senior dogs $300. All fees include all vaccinations, fecal testing, wellness exams, microchipping, and spaying or neutering.   If adoption isn't an option, please consider fostering one of our  pups. Story
Leo is a very enthusiastic, playful, and goofy shepherd mix. He is an amusing dog. He loves walks, runs, hikes, and especially fetch! He is quite the athlete, his fetch skills are next-level. He’s a super affectionate dog who thrives with regular TLC. He’s the type of dog you can take out for a fetch session on the beach and then come home and curl up with. Leo is VERY food-driven and exceptionally intelligent making him a breeze to train. If there are treats involved he picks up new tricks in minutes. He knows about a dozen commands including all the basics. He has been trained to walk with a slack leash. He has also gone through group training as well as working with individual trainers. His big issue was leash aggression but that has been mostly smoothed out. He is 100% house-trained. Leo has a ton of energy and needs regular exercise and mental stimulation. I wouldn’t describe him as a low-maintenance dog but he is definitely worth the effort as he is truly an incredible guy. With enough activity and affection, he is a total sweetheart and a breeze to own. You’ll know, when he’s in his happy place, he will look up at you with the sweetest softest eyes…it will melt your heart. He can get a bit anxious and stir-crazy without enough activity, so he’s a better fit for an active individual or someone with a yard he can romp around in. A lot of work has been put into getting Leo adoption ready and he is there! His transition into your home should be relatively seamless. This dog has had a rough life, he was abandoned and has been bounced around ever since. He deserves a chance at happiness and we hope you can be the one to give that to him :) If you're interested in adopting Leo, please fill out an application at www.doggiebonez.com. You can also check out our social media pages on Instagram (@Doggie_Bonez_Inc_) and Facebook (Doggie Bonez) to see more of Leo's cuteness.
