Story
Meet Princess Lula. If you’re someone who loves to get out for a walk or even hike and want a buddy, she wants to meet you. She’s approximately six years old and a lean 56 pounds. Princess Lula has proven herself to be a quick learner who is eager to love and be loved. If you break out a hose or a kiddie pool, you’ll see her really light up. She’s a good roommate who sleeps through the night and is fully house-trained and crate-trained. She enjoyed condo life with a temp foster so we know she would be happy living in an apartment, condo, or house environment. You can also expect a solid walker on the leash and a dog who is good in the car. Princess Lula’s best days have involved time with her toys, long walks or hikes with her foster, learning new things, meeting new people, and a good cuddle. She loves a belly scratch. Since she’s a current student of K9 Kommittee (dog trainer), her foster or adopter would have the opportunity to work with the team and continue the good foundation they’ve laid. During the transition period, K9 Kommittee would work with you in and outside the home; so, if you’re the type of person who loves to learn new skills and immediately put them to good use, this would be a great opportunity to learn from one of the best. If you feel like you would be a good match for this girl who deserves another lease on life, please submit an application today! Story
Meet Clark. If you’re looking for a dog who likes a good stroll around the neighborhood, but likes to power nap even more, this sweet eight-year-old is your guy. Imagine a dog who will completely submerge himself under the covers. If you can’t find him buried in a nest of his own making, Clark’s second favorite napping place is in a patch of sun. Be warned: If you have a favorite spot on the couch, make sure to get there before him, otherwise, you’ll be faced with a Clark who is sitting on the ground and staring up at you. That’s him politely but forcefully insinuating you must move if you love him. If you think you won’t give in, you just might after he turns away in a huff and lets out a grunt or two in protest. Oh, the drama. He’s lucky he’s so cute. Give Clark a snuffle mat or a toy with a treat in it and he will light up. To say he’s treat-motivated is an understatement. It’s helped when it comes to his obedience training: Clark will impress you with his “sit,” “down,” “stay,” “come,” and “paw.” If you have a short attention span when playing fetch–good news!–so does he. He’s got about five “fetches” in him and then it’s “High-five, Human,” as he checks his watch and insists he’s “really gotta get back to chilling out.” Tolerant and gentle, he’s also good in the car, so if you’re looking for a Road Dog, Clark is right there with you. Clark hasn’t been tested with cats, but has lived harmoniously with bunnies across two different foster homes. He’s currently an only-dog, but he’s lived with other dogs who are roughly his size in the past. When it comes to new dogs and humans, he prefers a formal introduction, but it doesn’t take long for him to start handing out the full body wags and kisses. Clark is more than ready for his forever home. If you think he might be the one for you, fill out the application today! https://k9kismet.org/adoption-application/

Meet Chuck. He's a three-year-old Labrador retriever-shepherd mix who is considered the "ranch kangaroo." Chuck is a real buddy dog who could hug you all day if you let him. He understands pack leadership with humans and loves other dogs. Chuck is easy on leash and very food-motivated. He's been learning new tricks and has benefited greatly from the obedience skills he's practicing on the ranch. Chuck only has love to give and wants a person who will live life to the fullest with him. Story
Meet Willa. She reminds us that age is just a number and that it’s never too late for a second chance at love. Willa is a senior but doesn’t seem to have gotten the message: She’s bouncy, energetic, and as full of life as her younger counterparts. Friendly and affectionate with everyone she meets, Willa loves to climb into people’s lap to cuddle. She’s a quick study and aims to please, so she’ll also deactivate her Velcro properties when you ask for space. Treat- and praise-motivated, Willa is taking to her obedience and crate-training quickly and is ready to be a prized family member. She’s grateful for this second chance and lets her people know it with an infectious grin that never seems to leave her face. If you’re ready to meet this sweet gal, submit an adoption application today! https://www.k9kismet.org/adopt/adoption-application/
