Story
Meet Marley! Marley is a very tiny 5 month old French Bulldog who is looking for a loving forever home! She is incredibly sweet and has such a spunky attitude. She has been diagnosed with Hydrocephalus which causes her to overstep, shake a bit and be a bit unbalanced. She likes to play and chew on her toys. She is a bit delicate and will need an owner that can watch her consistently and be careful with her. With other animals, she needs to make sure she can't be squished. She does well with all dogs she has met. She will need ongoing veterinary care through her life but is loving everyday she is living! It is important to note that Marley will not live a full long life. Please email us to find more about her to learn about her specific needs.

Story
Liam came in as a stray at the San Pedro Harbor Shelter on 5/22. He was not claimed and only myself showed up on 5/30 at 11am when he became avl for adoption. He has seen a vet on 6/7 and has another appmt on 6/17. He needs a dental as he has peridontial disease and also had serious flea allergies. He is on ointment for his ears to clear up yeast infection and anttibiotic to help clear up the skin dermatitis which is already improved. He will not be avl for adoption until late Sept. when the vet can do a dental but you can meet in prior to that and complete a pre adopt ap. He is sweet natured and good with my small senior dogs. He will need some obedienc training as he pulls on a leash but he is crate trained and thusly being housetrained. He rides well in a car and takes treats gently in his mouth. He is a blue merle tricolor Pembroke. He was crossing an intersection in San Pedro when a good sam young lady rescued him and brought him into the San Pedro Harbor Shlter. He had no chip or ID and was not netuered and had the teeth and skin dermatitis issues shared in this narrative. Again he won't be avl until late Sept.

Story
Meet Ginny! Ginny is a beautiful 2 year old female Papillon/Pomeranian mix so we think. We rescued her from the streets of San Bernardino. She was covered in ticks and fleas and unbelievably itchy! She had a ton of missing hair from the infestation going on, but that is all growing back slowly but surely! She had clearly been used for breeding, but not anymore! Despite her neglect, she is the sweetest little thing weighing in at 13 pounds. She smiles every time you ask her to come to you and give her love. She loves giving kisses. She would make a perfect lapdog and family dog. She has loved all people she has met and is social. She loves to sunbathe out in the yard or sleep quietly in the shade. She has some energy that she would love to run around and play with the other dogs or go for a nice walk. She is wonderful on the leash and in car rides. She does well with all dogs big and small. She is fully crate trained and potty trained! If you are looking for your next best friend, Ginny is the one! Her adoption fee includes: Wellness Exam, flea treatment, vaccinations, deworming, microchip, and spay.

Story
Meet Ranger! The cutest little cattle dog mix or so we think! He is about 5 months young and searching for his forever home. He is a wonderful and beautiful all white puppy with a short tail! He is a little model in his photos as you can see! He gets along with all dogs big and small, cats and loves all people. He is potty trained and very food motivated. Ranger would make an amazing family dog. We don't see the super high energy you would see in a cattle dog as he is also extremely chill being a couch potato. He is the best of both worlds! If you are looking for the perfect little pup that will grow up to be max 40 pounds- this is your dude! He loves giving kisses and is small weighing in at about 20 pounds. He has his first round of vaccines and will be neutered soon. He was dumped near a homeless encampment and brought to us filthy with gum stuck to him! His adoption fee includes: 2 sets of vaccines, deworming, flea treatment, Wellness Exam, neuter, and microchip. P.S. He smiles when you get his attention :) (See picture 4)

Story
Hello Draco here and I need a new home! I was adopted awhile ago-but my owners fell on hard times and had to bring me back to the rescue so that they can find me a new home. This stuff happens and I am one of the lucky ones because this rescue backs their dogs so if something happens we don't end up back at the pound I am a 3 year old male Staffie + Dutch Shepherd mix with the most stunning reverse brindle coat and I love kids, other dogs, am an excellent walker on a leash and am house and crate trained-you couldn't ask for a better doggo than me! I love to go on walks and can be active but I can be mellow too so I'm the best of both worlds! My most favorite thing is to get pets and belly rubs and I am a LOVER! Do you think I'm the ONE for YOU? Fill out an application to ADOPT Me ok? I am in the Southern CA area-sorry but my rescue does NOT adopt out of state

Story
Piper is a young dog looking for an active home. She is very smart and walks perfectly on a leash. Piper knows many commands and is easy to train. She's fully house trained. Although Piper is being fostered with other dogs and cats, Piper needs to be an only dog. She's fine walking past other dogs on the street, but needs a home of her own. She is very playful, smart and loving. In the right home, Piper will be an easy dog. She'll do best with someone who has had a big dog in the past, but no current dogs. Piper does best with structure, and loves to learn. She is a healthy, happy young girl. We had her spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped. If you live in the Southern California area and would like to meet Piper, please complete our adoption application found on dexterfoundation.com
