Story
Alfie is a sweet dog! I wish I could keep him but he requires lots of time and attention which I don't have right now due to a health issue. He loves long walks in the Arroyo and yummy carrots as treats. I want him to go to a good home where he will be happy, ideally with a big yard where he can run around and play. If you have a dog, that is perfect because he loves playing with other dogs. His favorite thing to do is to play fetch, he can play all day long!

Story
Primavera is a soulful petite pittie weighing 46lbs and estimated to be 3 years old. She can be coy at first, but don’t let her shyness fool you, she’s a loyal, sensitive, sweet, and intuitive dog. At the shelter, she was often in playgroups around rowdy and soft dogs and showed exceptional patience with puppies probably because she was a mama at one time. She is currently being fostered with three other large dogs and is quite happy in a pack. We think she would like to go to a home with at least one other dog. Primavera is spayed, up to date on shots, crate and house trained, and walks nicely on leash. She would prefer to be in a quiet home. To meet Primavera, please fill out an adoption form on dogcoalitionla.org/adopt. Updates about her and other dogs can be seen on Instagram, @dogcoaltionla.

Juana is a riot! This petite redhead is 55lbs, 3 years and bursting with personality. She’s a little cheeky in a very charming way. Juana is a clever girl, affectionate and deeply endearing winning the hearts of everyone she meets with her romantic leans or silly tricks. She is known to rest her chin on your elbow, knock over the water bowl and sprint off, or melt into your lap. Juana is acing her loose leash skills with her fosters, is house and crate trained, and is ready to meet her family. See more on Instagram @dogcoalitionla

Story
Venus is a 65lbs, 8-year-old, silly, kind, gentle shepherd / terrier mix to the best of our knowledge! She walks beautifully on leash, is house and crate trained, and is gentle and playful with all dogs including very small dogs. She is medium to low energy, loves pets and is known to lean her head, and forms strong bonds with people and dogs once she gets past a brief moment of shyness from her former life as a shelter and back yard dog. Venus is up to date on vaccines, spayed, and ready to be adopted to a home with another dog. Venus came into the shelter with Zeus. Since their time in foster care, each have developed relationships with other dogs and have shown they can bond quite nicely without each other. They can be adopted together or separately, but each must go to a home with another dog. Venus and Zeus have a fascinating backstory. They were surrendered to the shelter together as a bonded pair. They were so afraid they hid in the kennels for nearly a year until Zeus was cleared for euthanasia. They were ultimately saved 35 minutes before his deadline by a private party with the intent of rehoming them. Below is the story of their rescue from one of the volunteers who later became their foster. Venus and Zeus have since opened up in foster care and bonded with many people and dogs. They no longer need to stay together since they have shown the ability to adapt and bond with other dogs, however, if separated, each will need a second dog in their adoptive home.

Story
Zeus is a 65lbs, 8-year-old, German shepherd mix with a polite endearing personality. He is is a sensetive, sweet, darling dog. Having spent a long time in the shelter with his sister quite fearful, it does take Zeus a moment to trust and he may flee at first introduction. Zeus walks beautifully on leash, is house and crate trained (loves to hit snooze in the mornings), and is gentle and playful with all dogs including very small dogs. He takes direction super well, is very bonded with handlers and dogs once he bonds, and has a kindness to him we find quite special. Zeus is up to date on vaccines, neutered, and ready to be adopted to a home with another dog. Venus and Zeus have a fascinating backstory.
