Story
Jack is a 1 year old German shepherd who is in need of a forever home. He is the biggest baby and loves to show affection. We rescued Jack from a home that was abusing him. They would not feed him and kept him locked up outside day and night. After about 2 months of trying to get him the owners finally surrendered him to me. When we first got him he was very shy but warmed up so fast and just wanted loves. Since he was never trained, he does still have puppy qualities. He does chew objects and jumps when he gets excited but we are continuously working with him to break those habits. He is pretty good on a leash and loves to go on long runs/hikes (it helps to also get some energy out). He would benefit from a home that can offer him training and stability. He is ready for his forever home and I know he will be the best boy. Jack would be an amazing family dog and protector.

Story
These adorable nuggets came to us from a bad situation. Their owner was in jail and the GF was being evicted. Lucky for them two fosters stepped up and we were able to save them in the nick of time. Not surprisingly they broke with Parvo less than 24 hours later. But with the help of two ER vets and their amazing fosters, they all survived. The 5A puppies are now happy, healthy dog and people loving puppies who are each ready to start their next adventure with a Forever home. They are presumed to be Lab mixes who are big boys and girls at 3 months (25-30 lbs.) so we are guessing they will grow to be about 70 pounds. Like all puppies, the 5A puppies will each need an active family that is committed to continuing their puppy training, daily exercise, mental stimulation and exposing each to lots of adventures throughout their life. Could one of those families be yours? Email dogs@labradorsandfriends.org or fill out our online application at www.labradorsandfriends.org. The 5A Puppies are located in Southern California. Puppy Bagel is crate trained and sleeps throughout the night. A deposit for spay will be applicable and puppy will be spayed by the rescue at proper age.

Story
****AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION**** I'd like you to meet Patches... he is 10 lbs. and 10 years young. He was picked up as a stray after weeks on the streets. Animal Control finally found him and took him to the shelter. The Shelter ad said that this little boy needed a rescue ASAP and Maltese Rescue California jumped into action. We took him to the ophthalmologist who recommended that his left eye be removed. He had surgery to remove his eye and he doesn't miss it at all. Additionally, he was given a dental and several of his teeth had to be removed. His skin was inflamed, much of his hair had fallen out and he was severely underweight. Patches is a trooper and has come through all of his procedures and his healing process with flying colors. He's fluffy, funny and he loves food and looks forward to feeding time with bated breath. He is now looking for a forever family to share his golden years who will love him like he should've been loved his whole life. If you’re such a person and are interested in an easy-going pal to chill with, he would love to meet you! Drop Patches a line at malteserescuecalifornia.org
