Story
Introducing MURPHY!✨ Murphy has got it ALL going on! With stunning looks, charm, and fierce loyalty, there’s not much more one could ask for in a four-legged companion. Did we mention he’s EXTREMELY housetrained, gets on with dogs of all sizes, and has impeccable leash manners? He’s pretty close to perfection if we do say so ourselves. At 2 1/2 years old (his birthday is September 11), Murphy recently rejoined the rescue after he was adopted as a puppy during the pandemic. Like most puppies who were adopted then, he had only been exposed to the people in his home, so when it came time for him to meet new people, Murphy didn’t know how to react. . His family felt it was best if he came back to Posh, so here he is. He’s been making new human friends and doing EXCELLENT! He’s ready to join a new family, preferably in the suburbs (city life may be too exciting for him.) Please fill out the application at this link https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/POSH/Dog

Story
Little Miss Flower looks like she shrunk in the wash! She’s little! At one year old Flower was surrendered to our care as her family to whom she was gifted didn’t have time for her. Flower is excited for her walks, wagging her tail as we go and occasionally doing little skips of joy. While she can be a bit shy at first meeting (she warms more quickly to women), she’ll quickly claim you as a friend and show off her ‘sit’ and ‘paw’ in exchange for a treat. We’re told Flower is housetrained, and loves to play with rope toys. Lovely on leash, spayed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations she’ll do best as your only four legged friend. To meet our little peanut please complete our application Please fill out the application on this link https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/POSH/Dog

Story
If this isn’t the cutest face on the planet, we don’t know what is. Little 8 year young, 15 lb. Chubbs wears a big smile, his tail never stops wagging, he loves making new friends, loves his walks and is a delight on leash. He looks up with shining eyes, thrilled to have made a new friend and be out exploring. Cuddle time is a major plus as he wiggles onto my lap, burying his head into me as his tail wags faster. Chubbs is good with other dogs and of course a meet with a resident dog is required. Our little tootsie roll is a happy, friendly little guy, ready to charm you as he has done all of us. Chubbs is neutered, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations. : Please fill out the application on this link https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/POSH/Dog

Story
Birthdate: 3/21/21Breed: One of a kindWeight:  69.2He is STUNNING. His HAZEL eyes will immediately win your heart. He has an amazing, soft, sleek, jaguar-like coat. He is … JACK! Everyone who meets Jack falls in love right away. He happily trots next to you on walks and will stop only for the gentlest of hugs and pets. He will explore on his own and then will stick to you like glue as he is one, big, LAP DOG. When those big ears prop up he's attentive and alert, but when they flop down and his tongue hangs out he's happy and relaxed. You'll know he wants some TLC when he sits on your feet and leans his head back, asking for pets. Who wouldn’t want this sweet boy by their side??? Meet Jack today … you won’t regret it!Walk-ins are welcome! Stop by during our open hours to meet our available dogs! Before you can adopt, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website at pawscrossedny.org/dog-adoption-questionnaire. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.July 15, 2024, 6:17 am
