Story

Ice was born March 12, 2023. I adopted Ice from a breeder who microchipped him. He is very friendly and great with other dogs and cats. He is easy to train as he is very food motivated. He is crate trained and will go to his crate by simply saying Go Home. He also knows how to sit and go into a down position. Our trainer says he is a very obedient dog which he is. Ice is a gentle dog and barely barks. He is super energetic and loves playing! He will come with a crate, two weeks supply of food, toys, a prong collar, and a leash.

In Olmsted Township - Hey everyone! Let us introduce you to Mr. Max R. Roni. Max is an almost 7 year old Australian Shepherd. He’s had a sad past, losing his home, his mom and dad and now looking for a forever home to accept him as he is. It’s time for Max to find his furever home and thrive. Max came to ASF grossly overweight. He has been with his foster for several months trying to get some of his weight off and to help him be happy again. He’s lost a lot of weight already and is feeling much better. Max is a gentle old soul. When in the house, he’s pretty chill… he’ll find his spot and most of the time he’ll hang there alone. He will bring you his tennis ball (his FAVORITE toy) and wants you to toss it once he gives it to you. Max really loves butt rubs and being petted. He gets super excited to go outside and play ball or chase or catch a rolled Frisbee. When it’s time to quit, he just finds a spot to lay down. Max gets nervous on car rides and isn’t a fan. He’s very content staying at home. Walks are okay; he’s a bigger boy so he does pull some. Max is great left in the house all day: no accidents, no destruction. He does like the couch and would prefer to share your bed. Max has an issue with resource guarding toys… all toys belong to Max. Thus, a home with a submissive female or as an only dog would be best. His submissive 2 year old female foster sister Aussie plays chase with him but will drop any toy she has when Max comes near. He wasn’t nice the first time, so she just lets him have any toy. (The male Aussie in the house did not back down and this didn’t go well at all.) Due to his resource guarding, a home with small children would not be advised nor any dominant dog. Max is a sweet boy who just needs to find the right home. Someone to pet him on the couch, toss the ball for him once in while, take him out in the yard while you work or enjoy sitting and watching the day pass. Max is neutered, microchipped, UTD on vaccines, housebroken, crate trained, and on HW/flea prevention. He is currently being fostered in Olmsted Township, OH. There is an additional $20 fee to transfer his microchip to his new owners. All adoption fees go to help rescue other dogs like Max. He is microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention, but isn’t neutered. Simon is nervous around strangers! He is good with children! No cats or dogs, due to his reactivity! The owner is surrendering him because he doesn’t get along with their other male dog. If you think you can provide a great home for Simon, please contact the owner listed below. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Emma is good with dogs! She hasn’t been tested around kids or cats. She is given 16mg of Apoquel in the evening during allergy season. The owner is surrendering her because she pulls when walking and has a lot of energy. She wants to chase all of the cars and trucks they pass while on a walk. She needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! Are you a cat lover but would like to try out something new, like a dog!? If so, Dorver is perfect for you! Not only does he have delightfully short cat ears and a long tail, but he also enjoys curling up in laps for kisses. He has been introduced to other dogs in our playgroups and would do best as an only pet or in a home with a low energy dog of similar size. We do not recommend him in a home with smaller critters. Due to how nervous he can be around new things; we would not suggest he live with children under the age of 12. Come on down for some Dorver kisses and see if he would be a good fit for you!
