Story
My husband and I adopted linor, a ~7 week old German / chow chow/pitt/cattle dog 5 years ago. What we were told is that she and her sister were found on side of road. From puppyhood, Elinor has been very anxious. She has had multiple rounds of training & is e collar trained. She is afraid of new people and reactive to dogs. She gets nervous if it’s cold outside and will refuse to go out. She gets shaking panic attacks over very small things. She spends a lot of time hiding in closets. She is a sweetheart with all people she knows. She nipped someone when she was a puppy, has not bitten since. However, we know how to manager her and she gets no opportunities to bite. She doesn’t meet strangers or new dogs without muzzle. Once she gets used to a person we take muzzle off. We’ve learned a lot about how to care for her and she has a loving home that is safe for her and for us/our guests. She is becoming harder however for us to care for well with two kids. We love her.

Story
Hi! I'm Tootie, a 1.5-year-old female hound mix. I'm about 43 pounds and am up to date on all my vaccinations. I am playful and affectionate. I love giving kisses to everyone I meet! I'm great with dogs and love going to the dog park and daycare. I'd love to have another dog to play with me in my new house, but would be fine alone as long as you're around to play with me. My previous family loved me very much, but unfortunately I didn't get along well with their kitten. As a hound, I'm very prey-driven and like to chase cats and small animals. They're heartbroken to see me go but know I deserve a home where I can be my happy-go-lucky self! I hope it won't be long before I find my forever family. I'm available through Kitty Connection in Medford.

Story
My name is Kronos and I am a 2 1/2 year-old black nose/mountain Curr male. I’m a very friendly and happy-go-lucky guy when I’m comfortable in my surroundings. I have a great time playing with other dogs in the doggie park. I am a lovable and affectionate dog to my people and protective of them as well. I love their love and affection, I love going out on walks and being involved in outside activities. I’m a little overweight, so I need to get a lot more outside activity into my schedule. My dad just doesn’t have the time anymore to give me the activity and time that I need. I love to go on car rides because I am timid, meeting new people I am best with a dog experienced individual. I am available through Kitty Connection in Medford.

Story
Major is a handsome, 20 month old Pitbull mix. We adopted him at 13 weeks old. Major loves people and has never shown any aggression. He loves being with his people. He currently gets two 20-30 min walks a day and enjoys running in the yard. He lets us know when he needs to go out for the bathroom. Since we got him I was diagnosed with multiple health issues. At 65 pounds he's become too much for me to handle. He is highly trainable and will do anything for a treat! He loves chewing on bones. He knows several commands, sit, stay, down, wait, leave it, drop it, get in your bed, etc. Despite his youthful energy during the day, by 6pm he is asleep for the night. He is house trained and crate trained.

Story
I got Kylo Jan 2020 while I was living in WA, so he is a COVID dog. He was from a breeder up in Idaho. His birthday is Nov. 13, 2019, so he just turned 5. I would describe Kylo as a very loyal, protective and vocal dog. He loves his cuddles! He's been an apartment dog since I got him, so he doesn't require tons of exercise and i partially think he prefers it that way He is crate trained and is fairly well housetrained. There are two sides of Kylo: 1) the side where you have no idea where he is because he's quiet and 2) the side where he barks and is quite loud. Most of the time you have no idea he is home, and he doesn't require much attention, but when he hears random noises that are unfamiliar to him, he will make his presence known by barking He really is sweet and has a good heart but he is very vocal at times. When he meets new people or dogs, he will be very hesitant at first and bark but once you've made the good list, he will protect you will his life and expect cuddles

Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Kids 16 +Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesLilac is a sweet, lazy girl who is looking for a quiet home where she can play some fetch and then curl up in the dog bed and take a nap (her two favorite things). Lilac is wonderful with other dogs when properly introduced, and she loves to play. She would love a fenced yard to romp in. She can be leash reactive to new dogs, and though she has improved with training, this will always be something she needs to work on. For this reason, proper intros are a must with her.  She is also ecollar trained. so her perfect home would continue this training with her. She excels with structure and routine.Where Lilac still struggles greatly is with meeting new people in the home. Outside the home, and even a the vet, she is generally fine. When people that she does not know very very well come into the home, Lilac should be crated, leashed, or muzzled. She needs to be slowly introduced to new people, but once she gets to know you very very well, she's all in and is the kissiest, snuggliest girl.  She is even very sweet to pretty much everyone while muzzled, so that's an easy fix to keep her safe.  When people she does not know come into the home, she can get vocal,  but when introduced while muzzled she does fine.  Because of her reactivity to new people, a single family home is the best fit for her. She would not do well in an apartment. Lilac has had a long road, and while she has come a long way, she is very much still a work in progress. With the right family she will do just fine.Lilac's issues have happened in the past when her intros to new people coming into the home were not controlled.  So I can't emphasize enough that she needs to take it slow with new people :) But she will reward you for sure once you get to know her. Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted.
