And the best boy award goes to Cosmo!!! He is a 5-year-old happy guy that`swaiting for the magic of a new home. His super power is thinking everyonehe meets is his best friend. His super skill is playing 2 ball trade outfetch. Cosmo has had many changes in a short period of time, so hisadopters should plan on giving him plenty of opportunity to decompress withjust them, so everyone can get acquainted and he can figure out he`sfinally home. He`s been a good boy at the shelter with his potty breaks anda consistent schedule once home, will help continue this. Cosmo may be ableto join a home with a well-matched dog buddy if you`re up for themanagement that requires. Or he would be perfectly content just having awalking buddy. It is not recommended that Cosmo goes to daycare or dogparks as there are just too many variables to consider. No cat friends forhim at this point. Kids that can consistently understand and respect thatCosmo needs time and space while he settles in and always when he wants torelax, will be considered. Don`t miss the opportunity to welcome this boyinto your home. Stop by the shelter during open hours to talk with staff.

Story
Are you ready for some big puppy fun??? Cooper is a happy, clever young guy that is looking for adopters that will be excited to help him achieve best boy ever status! This means positive rewards training, fine tuning house training, exercise and tons of fun and laughs in between. Because Cooper loves everyone he meets and gets very excited, he might forget all about the polite way to greet people and be a bit on the jumpy side. Teens that are comfortable with bouncy young dogs and will participate in his training, will be considered. He can potentially join a home with a resident dog that is comfortable with his rough and tumble play style and who can be a good role model. No cats in the home at this time, please. Cooper is ready to become a wonderful companion for many years, he just needs to find his forever family. If you think he might be the one for you, please drop by the shelter during open hours to talk to staff. Tuesday- Sunday 12-3p

Meet young puppy Bocce. This is a happy go lucky guy with a lot of energy. He loves to entertain himself with toys and is really good walking on aleash. Oh, dont let that adorable face fool you. This puppy will requirea bit more training with polite greetings and to use that puppy mouthappropriately. Luckily, Bocce loves his snacks and will train for cookies. This good boy is looking to join a low traffic home with older kids only tohelp him become his best self. The best situation would be if he could livewith an older, patient dog that will teach him the ropes. Here at theshelter, he has enjoyed play dates with other dogs. We have no history ofwhat Bocce thinks of cats, so a dog-savvy cat would be a possibility.Does Bocce sound like the pup for you? If so, please head to the MethuenMSPCA location Tuesday-Sunday between the hours of 12PM-3PM!

Story
Meet sweet and loving Ava! While a little shy to start, she has spent the last few months in shelter blossoming into a wonderfully sweet young lady. She’s looking for a family that understands her need for patience and space as she builds trust and confidence in her new environment. Ava will thrive in a calm and quiet home, with people who are willing to help her learn and grow at her own pace. Ava is still working on some basic training, so she’s looking for an owner who is dedicated to helping her work on polite greetings, leash walking, and some puppy basics! At the shelter, Ava is a staff and volunteer favorite...and even the other dogs love her! Ava is a candidate to live with a polite dog friend who`s down for a good romp! She does not have experience living with cats, though with a careful introduction may do well. Ava has spent time in a previous home with younger, very respectful kids and did well. Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs inour care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interestedadopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s)they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopterswill be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animalareas will remain open to walk through.

Some dogs are shy and like keeping to the background. Not Sunny! This guylikes being the star of your show. I mean, he is really sweet, adorableand cuddly. Good boy Sunny is both house trained and crate trained. Hewalks very well on a leash and tends to jump up on every bench he passes. We think that is because he gets some ear scratches every time he does it.Sunny could possibly live with a very well-matched dog friend. He and catsdo not get along, so he should not live with a cat. If the children in thehouse can help with training, that would work best. He is hoping foradopters that will give him time to decompress and get over the stress ofbeing at the shelter. This poor guy is having a hard time here.Do you think Sunny with his cute spotted ears is the dog for you? Comevisit Sunny at the MSPCA in Methuen on Tuesdays through Sundays from 12PMto 4:30PM.
